If you are going faster than five miles an hour or so, and the "regen" icon doesn't show up on the battery guage when you hit the brakes, then you're not in regen. Also, you'll likely see the battery guage topped off at that time. It takes a lot to get there, think of coasting down a mountain road trying to maintain 40 mph.

I got the 5 year/100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. I like to drive, a lot, and with all the tech in this car that looks extremely expensive to replace if it breaks, I didn't want to worry about it. There is a $500 deductible after the initial 3/36k warranty runs out, but I figure if the nav system or dashboard breaks, the warranty will pay for itself. That said, I'm hoping that it is money wasted.

Not here in Tallahassee, you won't. It's HILLY here. (I should know, I grew up in the mountains of SC). Those hills just kill my mileage.

Count me as someone who's been wondering where those other two speakers have been hidden.

On average, you use 7 seconds worth of gas to start a car. If you're leaving the car unattended for more than seven seconds, might as well turn it off. Look at the Hybrid, my FFH's gas engine starts and stops all the time, granted it doesn't use a starter motor like in the Gas FF, but still, and it's none the worse for wear.

Cop: "Sir, do you know how fast you were going?" Me: "Nope, my fancy dashboard is teh broken."

I did as well, although I thought it a hardware problem after my dashboard reset itself. It was taking forever to change channels, then that pretty much went away Wednesday evening when my dash reset. You'd think they'd be completely separate systems and that I'm completely wrong about the correlation. The ol' "Correlation does not equal causation" thing.

Just before it happened, I had issues with the Sirius radio taking forever to change stations, and having constant audio dropouts. Normally I would attribute this to signal interference, but had never seen it before yesterday afternoon, and it went away as soon as the reset occurred. 2 weekends ago, the navigation system and radio stopped responding to all inputs, whether on the touchscreen or via buttons/knobs. The only way to control the system was via voice commands (worked for both Nav system (read: Sirius) and Sync), but the audio cues were gone. It fixed itself after I got gas, but it was very strange.

I have just over 1700 miles so far.

It's your call, but if you're ordering an FFH, you have to admit that fuel economy is more important than looks... I hypermile all the time now w/the amazing dashboard... Just give the car a few weeks (till you hit the 1k mile mark) and you won't want to do anything that will keep you from hitting max MPG.

If you've driven an FFH, you'll know how the dashboard makes you want to drive more efficiently.. It's an incredible piece of engineering. Kudos to FORD!

The regenerative braking uses nothing more than simply the Electric traction motor that is part of the drivetrain. The brakes at the wheels are normal disc brakes like on any other car. The reasoning behind the styling of the FFH's rims had to do with aerodynamics (read: gas mileage), they look better than disc hubcaps while essentially acting the same at speed.

That's an.. interesting.. design decision. Is there any way to show the internal temperature on the NAV display? I'm curious as to how hot the car says it is inside on those hot Florida afternoons.

What I think is awesome is how I am now disappointed to get gas mileage below 30 mpg in the city ( my commute is only 3.2 miles, so I don't generally get much benefit from the hybrid system since the engine has to warm up).

Yeah, I've got 20% on all the windows save for the windshield. It's not legal on the front windows here in FL. We'll see. My roommate has 15% on all of his windows and has gotten pulled over for speeding, but has not gotten his tint pulled so far.

Purdy.. I'll post pics if the sun will ever come out here. I think my tint is a bit darker than yours, but that's all personal preference. Have driven the car about 100 miles so far, it is quite a fun game to try and keep it in EV mode.

I'd like to see it. Is that a silvery or a black? Mine are black, I have no idea at all what brand they are, but the dealer installed it as part of my trade-in deal. The black tint w/the silver paint really looks sharp.

Picked my FFH up today. Ordered 3/14, picked up 5/19. My car was selected for quality testing, so I believe that is why it took so long to leave Hermosillo. Had 39 miles on it when I got it. Will post pics tmw night. It's silver with 20% window tinting. Looks damned good.

Mine has taken since Thursday to get from Jacksonville to here. I was supposed to pick it up today, but that didn't happen b/c it still had not arrived at the dealership. Not sure what's up w/that. Ordered my 3/14. Car was built almost a month ago, starting to get annoyed at how long it is taking. I know the dealer can't do anything about it, but hard not to be annoyed.

My dealer said mine is on the truck and should arrive today. He's going to try and get me in it today.

Found out yesterday that my car is on a train, the most recent update I had yesterday is that it was passing through Desert, New Mexico. According to Google Maps, there isn't much there other than state highway 54 and the railroad track. Dealer said ETA of May 17th (next Sunday). Good to see some movement. :happy feet: <-- just one for now :P

Just got an update from my dealer, car should arrive Sunday, May 17. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up on Tuesday or Wednesday after work. Had originally hoped to pick up the car today, but the CNN Flu caused that plan to fall apart hehe
