  1. Insiders say it is the 3.5L. There is no SVT Fusion in development.
  2. Has Ford said how many model years they will do the GT500 for? Or is it presumed to be indefinite? I'm still lusting for a street legal FR500C. Or any Mustang with a similar design ideal. Heck if they would just put the N/A 500hp 5L V8 in this car, and whack a couple hundred pounds, I'd probably put it on my short list.
  3. Unless Pontiac has a plan to replace the G6 and Vibe with RWD vehicles then they are in no way "going RWD". At best they are going to add a RWD sedan along with the current coupe and roadster. But the volume models (and thus the bulk of their sales) will remain FWD, just like every single other non-luxury brand on the planet. I think its amusing that the article manages to contradict itself, first stating that a Firebird is under consideration, then saying it is not going to happen. Nice.
  4. I'll agree with you that remote fuel doors are a pain in the ass. But locking fuel doors need not be a nuisance. Many cars simply lock and unlock the fuel door as you lock and unlock the car itself. Simple. Necessary? Probably not, given the anti-siphon measures mentioned above.
  5. Its almost certainly just a working name. Lexus would be foolish to try and bring it to market with that moniker. Notice the article also gets the size of the V8 wrong - Lexus new passenger car V8 is 4.6L, not 4.5L. "450" is used for the hybrid electric 3.5L V6 powertrain.
  6. I just saw this: Holy crap, I was only kidding! Ok, its not the eggcrate pattern, but still that is taking things just a bit too far now...
  7. The grill would not look bad if it weren't for the lower strip between the fog lights. It makes the eggcrate pattern look as if its wall-papered on instead of being ornamental. The grill on the new Esccalade is bold and brash too, but its allowed to sit by itself instead of being trivialized to just another region of textured of blingness. I'm almost surprised they didn't just continue that all the way down the rocker panels.
  8. Anyone with a hairdryer and $9.99 for a MKZ liftgate badge?
  9. I whole-heartedly disagree that it would "obviously" look crappy. That's not giving the Lincoln designers much credit all. To me the waterfall grill looks too much like mercury's grill. IMHO it would give the brand more strength it they unified the grill design.
  10. What happened to the egg-crate grill? Did we change directions again? I need to see a side profile and tail-lights to pass judgement on this one. But it looks pretty good so far.
