  1. Congrats on getting the car moving. As much as it hurts to wait - those ETA's are fairly accurate. My car made it to Dallas in just a couple of days, but then it rode around Dallas/FW for about 3 days still on the rail car getting to the final destination, then it took several more days getting picked up by a truck and delivered.
  2. Congrats - it's a good feeling. Just read your signature - find it interesting that you deleted the spoiler. I don't know the details of the S and SE - but can you add the spoiler on those? Isn't the spoiler a signature of the Titanium? It is so small I doubt there is any impact to gas mileage or traction - it is all about looks, but just curious - you just don't like that look?
  3. The CSX tracking number works - for your rail car initials "CN" use 23 62 on the phone - then your car number. Just checked and there is status.
  4. The routes split east of El Paso - since the trains move at good speed - I don't see there being any more than a few hours or a day at most to get to Houston. Check out the UP map here - http://www.up.com/cs/groups/public/documents/up_pdf_nativedocs/pdf_system_map.pdf
  5. I'm pretty sure mine made the same trip up to Tuscon, I just did't track the details that day - I didn't realize it was moving. The UP map doesn't show tracks from Nogales to El Paso, but I first picked it up in El Paso, I think it had to have gotten there through Tuscon which is the standard trip most of them take. JD - congrats - it is moving pretty quickly - hope it gets there soon.
  6. It is hard to understand at times - also - a lot of the places it uses are just wide spots in the road or only a name the locals would know, but between Google Maps and MS Streets and Trips I was able to finally find every location I tracked except one. Good luck and have fun. I'm glad someone is now wearing that system out besides me. I checked about 50 times over 3 days. And now just for the fun of it - I've tracked the rail car a time or two after it was emptied just to see where it is going next. My rail car dropped the car in Dallas and then made it's way to Amarillo a couple of days later and now it is just in hold status. Anyone needing a Rail car and tell UP they have an empty one in Amarillo on hold.
  7. Well - got home and checked - the one scanned is identical to mine - I thought I had read it excluded the Fusion Hybrid - but it does not. Sad they aren't honoring it since it was not excluded, This is pgm 34292 - so looks like they number this cash back just like they do the other incentive offers. Beginning to think I didn't read real close - the fine print also says "May not combine with other private or commercial offers". What does that mean? Seems as though this is being allowed to be combined with the $1500.
  8. Good poing - this is interesting - I always thought the $1500 programs were the same - but there are 2 separate pgm numbers 1 - $1,500 Customer Cash ($500 on Fusion Hybrid) (PGM #12254). Residency restrictions apply. Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 4/1/13. See dealer for complete details. 2 - This is the second one under financing - it is Program #12302:Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 04/01/2013. Not all Fusion models may qualify. See dealer for residency restrictions and complete details. No restrictions or finance rates listed with that second one. It is part 1 of 3 offers about financing - but there are no rates listed with that $1500 in that box - so it is interesting and confusing as to how you qualify for that second $1500.
  9. I have to agree - Hybrids are not excluded. I'll have to look at my coupons at home tonight - I thought they did.
  10. This is the second issue I've seen this week over the $750 rebate. I have a few of them in my hand, they are all pretty clear in the fine print they don't cover the hybrids - Raptor and a few others models are excluded. I would hope no one would expect to use something that isn't valid, and once again - it's a bit crazy as well that Vincent and the Ford systems aren't just a bit more sophisticated to reject the offer when it is applied to a VIN - it should know immediately it doesn't apply. Craziness.
  11. It can take 3 to 4 days to get loaded on a rail car. I guess potentially it could roll out the door an onto a car if all the stars were aligned, but most seem to take a couple of days to pair up with a full rail car going in the same direction. They go through some process where they must be released from the factory before they ship. It was a week for mine - dates are in my signature - others have their build and ship dates there as well.
  12. Cyberdman clarified for someone last week that you get one update per week - it doesn't have to be a full week between updates. If you get an update on Thursday, you can get another update on Monday, but then you must wait a full week until the next Monday to get another update.
  13. Believe CSX. I tracked mine almost hourly last week for a couple of days, then when I got the update from the Ford system - it was kind of like it only gets updated once a day from the Railroad. I won't say that positively, but I don't think Ford gets the minute by minute update that you can get by calling the 800 number which is pretty much real time.
  14. I'm not such a huge NASCAR fan that I know all of the players in and out, but all I have to say is that if you've only worried about number 2 so much that you aren't watching your mirror for number 3 - then you already lost because you don't keep the big picture in mind. I don't know the ramifications of being second - but it cost them both more than if they had raced just a little cleaner and finished 1 and 2. I know the goal is to cross the finish first, but when you're that close and don't even cross it second - well there are bigger issues IMHO.
  15. You may already know, but you can track this car with the same CSX phone number. I just checked it - in step 3 use 74 71 when prompted for the car initials. Also on step 5 you can just pust the # sign again. Right now that rail car is in NM. 1. Call CSX at 1-800-235-2352 2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location. 3. When prompted for the car initials, key in 74 71 (for SP) or 32 81 81 92 (for ETTX) (letter and position on your phone) 4. When prompted for the car number, say or key in your 6-digit ETTX car number and press # 5. When prompted for next car say DONE or press the # sign.
  16. What are you ordering? Expectations are getting better across the board especially with the hybrid people, but the standard gas models have been doing pretty well and should build and deliver in 6 or 7 weeks. We pick up tomorrow - the car is on a truck - the last mile. That is 6 weeks to they day from ordering. So hope you don't have to endure what many others have, but current expectations are really picking up on a quick build and deliver timeframe. The key now may be to either order quick before the end of MY13 or just put all expectations on hold and order for MY14 - but you may not see deliveries for MY14 until August and September. One of the threads on here has the cut off dates for 13 and the new order dates for 14.
  17. Which cars get that kind of miles on them? I would expect no more than 2 to 3.
  18. End of March is almost here. Anyone know when the new incentives/programs come out? Pgm 12254 ends 4/1. Was wondering if they ever put the new ones out a day or two in advance or will it literally be 4/2 before we see what the new ones are? Picking up this this next week, my salesman said at order time they almost never go down - should only go up. Will have to see how it plays out.
  19. Car had been ordered 3 weeks when I ordered and received another brochure, it came with another $750 coupon - have not heard anyone else with $1000 coupons. This one expires mid April.
  20. I think Chrysler is such a joke company. You could never give me one of their products. I'd sell it on the spot and couldn't be seen driving one. I'm all about competition - it is good for all the other companies, but to think someone believes Chrysler has a product that competes at a high level is smoking something good. I know it is a personal thing, but I will never drive onto one of their products.
  21. Interesting turn of events. Just when I figured my car had reached it's destination just South of downtown Dallas and would be off loaded to truck a couple of days ago - the rail car started moving again - so I figured it was back off to MX or some other car factory to make another new car owner happy. The railcar went from Dallas, back through Tower 55 in NW FW and now today finally shows it "Arrived at customer location - Mesquite, TX 1:40 AM 3/22/2013". I've loved trains for years and followed them and even gone to Tower 55 to watch them pass through - there are several hundred go through every day - it kind of blows my mind that the rail car would end up in Dallas 2 days before it goes at least another 100 miles round trip to FW and then back to Mesquite, TX. I know it's the way they build the consist based on the final destination, but seems like lots of waste of some sort when there is already a shortage of cars and the price of fuel. It seems as though the consist would have been reassembled in FW to start with and then straight to Mesquite. That must have happened in South Dallas though. I know this is a science and art into itself, but very interesting to see from the outside. Now just hoping that it will be the first one off and onto a truck for delivery. Waiting is hell. Here are the additional checks/stops for post 11. 3/21/13 12:28 AM Browder Street, Dallas, TX 3/21/13 3:56 AM Tower55, TX 3/22/13 1:40 AM Customer Location, Mesquite, TX
  22. That sucks about the $750. I wish I understood marketing. When I learned of this I ordered 3 brochures - all came with the certificate. When I heard a couple of weeks ago that they might have gone up to $1000 - I ordered 2 more. All 5 of them came with the $750 attached (never saw $1000). We live in the same city - you would think they would market equally. I ordered for Fusion and for F-150.
  23. I would agree - just so overpriced for what it is - especially on the window glass. What are the chances of that being stolen and not broken as it is taken. I refuse to pay the dealer for a single add on. If for no other reason - the mark up in the is sometimes several hundred percent. Finance people hate me, but I tell em up front - I need to know what the car costs and they can save us both a bunch of time if we get right to the bottom line without the fluff. I will back off that for just a little and say I might at least price the extended warranty, but I've never bought it. VW even tried selling tires for life - you pay up front. What more can they try to sell.
  24. That's the plug for the integrated engine heater if you have one.
  25. Very cool - I like those kinds of smarts built in, but as much as I've read and watched about this car - I had not come across this. Nice smarts ! Thank you.
