  3. I was wondering if anyone from OHAP in skilled trades has heard when they buy-out dates are for retiring. I'm one of the 6 Electricians on ILO from the Walton Hills Stamping plant hoping to take someones place when they retire from OHAP. Keeping my fingers crossed for some news, so far haven't heard anything yet...
  4. I am one of the electricians on ILO from the Walton Hills Stamping Plant, and I was wondering under this last buy-out agreement if we are going to replace the electricians that want to retire March 1. I know that there are some that want to retire from OHAP , not sure how many though. If anyone has any info please let me know...thanks....hope to be back to work soon.
  5. Yes, my understanding of this latest offer is that Electricians, HVAC, and Steam Engineers can retire with a buy-out offer only if there are a surplus of those trades with-in their placement zones. Hope this helps you out with this info I posted on the buyouts. The following information is a supplement to the information you received regarding the Special Program and Special Incentive available to eligible* UAW-represented Ford Motor Company hourly non-skilled and skilled trades employees. * Special note to skilled trades employees in the Electrician, Stationary Steam Engineer, and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Maintenance and Installation classifications: You will be eligible for a Special Program/Incentive only if there are surplus employees within your classification within your Preferential Placement Zone. Furthermore, within each Preferential Placement Zone, the maximum number of Special Program/Incentive offerings will be limited by classification to the number of surplus employees in the classification. After the conclusion of the Open Window Period on January 22, 2010, the National Job Security, Operational Effectiveness, and Sourcing Committee (NJSOESC) will determine the number of employees eligible under this provision. .
  6. I was wondering if there are any Electrician's allowed to retire from the plant with the latest buy-out offers.
  7. Does anyone know what the company means when they are saying they will offer buyouts for electricians, steam engineers and hvac classifications only if there are surplus employees in those classes and within the preferential placement zones? ILO from Walton Hills Stamping...Electrician..
  8. Does anyone know the reason for the new buyout offers? I was wondering if this might allow those of us on ILO to have a chance to return to work...If anyone has any thoughts on this please post a reply..Walton Hills Stamping Plant ....Electrician of ILO, 6 months and counting....................... Happy Holidays to all.................
  9. Walton Hills Stamping Plant was informed that they are going to ILO a total of 43 people. 23 of them will be skilled trades and 20 of them production. This is not a threat but a reality. We already have had union brothers and sisters put on ILO since March and June of this year. I'm not sure if other Stamping Plants are being affected with ILO's this like us, but it doesn't look any of us are going back anytime soon.
  10. Fellow UAW Members, I am One of Six Electricians on ILO from Walton Hills Stamping Plant. I was wondering if there are any other Electricians on ILO throughtout the Ford System. If there are, do you have any chance of going back to your plant any time soon. I know there was a need for Electricians but I am not sure where. Thanks Robogamer55
  11. Hey Dogday, thanks for the info, do u know if they were journeyman electricians. some of my friends from Walton Hills are working at your plant now. it's a shame that we were not given the opportunity to go there since we are on ILO..My co-workers were i gen bank last year and were forced to Avon but aleast they are still working. Thanks Robogamer55
  12. Fellow UAW Members, I have been recently ILO from the WHSP. I was wondering if there are other Electricians that were put on ILO. It seems kind of odd that Electricians and Stationary Engineers were not aloud to get a buy-out offer from Ford this time, making it appear that they needed these trade badly. If anyone has any input about this subject i would like to hear from them..... thanks UAW Brother
