  1. All Ford needed to do was replace the rear doors with mini van sliders and then actually advertise the thing and I think they would have been a hit.
  2. I agree it always made me laugh when Chrysler wouldn't call the Magnum a wagon. Really they should all be SUW's Sport Utility Wagons.
  3. I just came back from visiting my mother and I drove her 2008 Taurus X SEL while I was out there. It has AWD and leather but other than that just the standard SEL options. I have never been so impressed by a car I never expected to like. This car to me is a station wagon for all intents but it drives very smooth, handles like a car which it is and is very comfortable and roomy all while getting 20 to 25 MPG in mixed driving. I find myself contemplating selling my 03 Explorer and picking up one of these but that would mean a car payment...
  4. Yeah I am not a fan of big headlights or grills and in this case made to look like a huge grill/opening. Headlights and grills should accent the front end styling of the vehicle not dominate it. That being said you keep the bumper body color and the car looks pretty good.
  5. Sounds like they have changed the tire since I owned them I didn't pay anywhere near that.
  6. FYI to all I would avoid Pirelli P Zero's you will be lucky to get 20k out of them even though they are rated for 40k. I had them on my Bullitt and they were toast after 20k, normal driving no burnouts.... at least until it came time to replace them.
  7. The 2011 Mustang V6 also beat the 2010 GT's time by almost a second limited to 114mph so it would beat the Falcon also.
  8. Yeah sorry that's with the optional track pack pretty much everything the GT has except 412HP!
  9. I think they get the same tires as the GT 255/40R-19 Pirelli P Zero .
  10. Now if only Ford would loose that solid rear axle and install IRS they could compete with........ Oh wait they beat everyone :shades: Not that it really matters in the real world but it would be nice to see what the V6 could have done unlimited. Just the fact that the Mustangs pretty much dominated their classes and the only car (none Ford) to beat the GT cost about as much extra as a V6 Mustang!
  11. Yeah they also said that if the seats in the GT and GT500 had more side support the times would have been even better and a Ford Engineer proved it by running a GT500 around VIR in 2:58 with a racing seat and 5 ppoint harness.
  12. http://www.caranddriver.com/features/10q4/lightning_lap_2011-feature The Mustang made an impressive showing with two first places and a third place finish. The V6 dominated the LL1 field even though it was bumping against its 114mph rev limiter for 15 seconds of each lap! The GT500 finished first and GT finished 3rd against the GT500 and Lexis IS F but was the second least expensive in the LL2 class.
  13. Are they calling it a Priup or just Prugly? But hey looks or lack there of never stopped people from buying Toyota's in the past
  14. Yeah it's about half and half some say go with longer studs some have been running the bolt ons with no issues. I don't race it or do burn outs thanks for the reply.
  15. I have an 01 Bullitt with the stock wheels and tire size and I am thinking about installing 1" spacers on the rear. Any thoughts or suggestions?
  16. That's what the one we rented looked like. We were actually on our way to buy an 08 Acura MDX Sport with Tech and Entertainment package and only 9500 on the clock. We drove the Flex out and the Acura back. We looked at Explorer's we have an 03 Limited which is now my daily driver, but no one in Denver had any or would deal.
  17. No Ecoboost but definately had good power.
  18. I recently spent about 9 hours in a Limited very nice inside but still can't bing myself to like the exterior.
  19. I will be the first to admit the new Regal looks good but when the Fusion only had around 200hp everyone trashed it. The base Regal has what 220 and everyone seems to ge gushing over it. I owned a 97 Regal GS hands down the worst car I have ever parked in my driveway including a Renult Encore (I was in college and it was given to me). I know these two Regals have nothing in common but I still wouldn't own one. Everyone said at the time I must have just gotton a bad example but many of the issues with the car were present in other Regals and Impala's I drove up through 2002. Ok that being said I do like some of the new GM SUV's and Cadilacs.
  20. Just realized my title is wrong it's Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup either way it's still a blast
  21. Try to make it one of these years you will be glad you did.
  22. Anyone in the Colorado area planning on attending this? I went in 04 and 05 when I first got my Bullitt and it's a blast! I am going this year with my son and my Bullitt. A friend of mine is bringing up his 03 Cobra convert. Check out www.rmmr.org. The years I went there were about 800 to 900 cars there. It runs from June 17th - 20th and registration ends May 15th. Hope to see you there!
  23. Sounds like you made out all right. I already have a couple of people interested maybe they will start a bidding war! One can always dream :shades:
  24. It would fly I remember driving my 87 5.0 on a scale for the Martha's Vinyard ferries and I think it weighed about 3200lbs that's after we guessed how much the 4 of us in the car weighed and subtracted.
  25. Yeah I don't think this one had the glass roof I will have to take a look at the pictures I took. It did have the optional wheels and they looked good. Call me crazy but that 5.0 Mustang got me more excited than the GT 500, Ferrari's and Lambo's that were there. Probably because I could actually afford the 5.0 someday.
