  1. Got my car back: *They had to order me a new squeaky. *They had to order GPS parts *Key fob issue still being investigated *Reprogramed Tranny
  2. Well I dropped of my car today for the following: 1- The Works oil change package. 2- TSB 13-4-20, GPS Issue 3- TBS 13-4-25, Squeaky breaks when warm 4- Doors don't always unlock with fob in pocket and door handle is grabbed, and no fey is found when in car. Both intermittent. 5- fuel Mileage (12-13 City) 6- Tranny shifts funny sometimes 1- should be straight forward. 2-3 should be able to be at least applied. 4- probably wont be able to duplicate issue 5- No idea, Hopefully they find something, but, I'm sure it's my location and driving style 6- like number 4 won't be able to duplicate it. They took it in this morning, gave me a 2012 Focus white to drive. Not a bad car once I squeeze my fat A$& in to it. I'm not in a big rush so I hope they take there time. Will keep you posted......
  3. When I'm stopped, and turn the steering wheel left right, I hear a kind of a sound also. Ive had this from day one, Not sure If it does it while warming up or all the time, I'll check it. I did go to the dealer and asked my sales man if I can check others on the lot. They all seemed to sound about the same. At this point ill just keep an eye (or ear) on it and see if a TSB is released.
  4. Im not sure what your talking about, Can you describe it a little more.
  5. I don't go by the oil notification, I'm going by the old school, ever 3000 miles or three months. Don't care if its an over kill
  6. Have about 6500 miles on my escape now and am due for a service. Saw this and was wondering if its worth it or not? Not sure what they get for a basic oil change, but I also wanted to rotate the tires. Thanks for your input! THE WORKS FUEL SAVER PACKAGE $39.95 OR LESS* It could save you as much as $77 in fuel by your next oil change.** Synthetic Blend Oil Change Tire Rotation and Pressure Check Brake Inspection Multi-Point Inspection Fluid Top-Off Battery Test Filter Check Belts and Hoses Check *Up to five quarts of Motorcraft® oil and oil filter. Taxes, diesel vehicles and disposal fees extra. Hybrid battery test excluded. **Source: Based on EPA fuel economy 2010 MY data at http://www.epa.gov/otaq/fetrends.htm and the $3.69 average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in the U.S. on October 22, 2012, at www.fueleconomy.gov. 7. Has anyone else had any trouble unlocking the doors when grabbing the handle with the fob in your pocket? Mine works fine 50% of the time, the other 50% I have to move the fob around in my pocket or turn so the pocket is next to the door. I am not inadvertently touching the lock pad on the handle. Once in awhile (not much at all) when I get in the car and go to start it, it tells me no key found in vehicle and I have to reach in my pocket and move the fob. Also, the lift gate is a pain to open with my foot. Just when I think I got the knack on how to kick, it won’t work till after multiple attempts. (I look like an idiot kicking at the back of the car.) not sure if thats user error or the same bob issue. I’ve tried both fobs with the same results; I even tried replacing the battery in both fobs, neither worked. The dealer can not duplicate the problem, so they can’t do anything. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the end of the world, it’s just annoying when some really cool technology features gives you grief. Sorry for the long post.......
  8. My city is pretty much all stop and go and hills. I also have a heavy foot. The thing I find funny is my last 5 vehicles all had pretty much the same city mpg. All V-6's and 4 wheel drive. Three Explorers an 05 Escape and a 08 Edge.
  9. Once I got the navigation to find my location (hopefully that will be fixed when I have tsb 13-04-20 applied) I was able to set my destination with no trouble. The problems started when I tried to find a POI using voice commands. I get half way through the voice commands tree and it either freezes or crashes. I tried it a few times with the same results. I gave up and tried to do manually, unfortunately the system will not allow you to manually choose any POI from the screen while the vehicle is moving. I even tried to use Ford services in hopes to get that to add a poi to my trip, and that kept saying over and over to try again. The nav in my 08 Edge worked much better even though it had limited poi's and features. I ended up using the road side signs to find a place for breakfast....... Very frustrating
  10. On a couple of 100 mile trips all highway I got between 25-26 mpg doing between 65 and 70 mph with my all wheel drive 2.0 2013 escape. So, my real world mpg's are: City 13-14 MPG Highway 25-26 MPG I'm a little disappointed with the City mpg, but the thing has great power so It's okay. and I'm not going to change my driving habits just to squeeze out a couple more mpg.
  11. I agree, my ticket also said 5-20 complained and at first they said that's what it takes, after showing them the dip stick they did some more checking and said yes they made a mistake and will change it. When I went back to pick it they said we really did not use the wrong oil it just printed wrong and gave me a new invoice that said 5-30. Do I believe them NO!! But what can you do, I figure one oil fill up wont do any real harm. I'm going back to them to address the sqeekey brake issue and the GPS getting loss and will have my second oil change. Hopefully they get it right this time. I loss all trust a month later when I got stuck and towed to the dealer and they tried to charge me $60.00 (see my earlier post on that nightmare )
  12. My Gps gets lost quite often, Red X and shows me off the road. Eventually it finds its way after some time. Anyway, I see there are a couple of TSBs for this issue, 13-01-11 or 13-04-20. Does anyone know which one apples to my vehicle? 2013 AWD Titaniam 2.0 Built August 2012. Thanks for the help Lenny https://www.dropbox.com/s/0xj8wqxb8hcag6r/tsb13-03-11-gps.pdf https://www.dropbox.com/s/95oqkq53sn9acvw/tsb13-04-20-gps.pdf
  13. My closes and latches. I just push the button on the dash and let it open up a bit then hit the button again, closes and latches. No need to get out of the car.
  14. Okay my first real highway trip to Boston. Total round trip mileage, about 275. Probably about 40 miles driving around Boston and the rest highway, 70-75 mpg. Computor says 24 mp. Not that good IMO. Trip to Rhode Island next weekend, I will fill up on the way and when I get there, all highway, we'll see what the numbers show.
  15. I tried that, nothing would gets the audio back on. I tried switching to radio, cd, pushed all kind of buttons, no dice. I recently removed the flash drive and only time will tell if that had anything to do with it. So far it's been fine
  16. Running 3.5.1 and a few times recently when I got in the car and started it, I had no audio at all on any thing (radio, Sat, USB) I've tried master resets fuse pulls, some times I can get it to work others it would just start on its own. It shows what's playing and turning the volume up and down shows the line go up and down, but no sound. Very frustrating Any thoughts? Thanks
  17. Got some advice on another board, so far so good, only time will tell. I turned the auto play off. So far after 4 day it does not default to the USB and when using the USB it always starts playing from where I left off and not at the first track on the drive. What through me off was the setting said autoplay on / off for blue tooth devices. I didn't think playing music through a USB flash drive was a blue tooth device.
  18. Well, when its time for mine to be serviced, it will be coming out and staying out! That's just stupid the way it's designed! As well as I'm concerned, they are useless anyway. Every time you open the doors or windows, the car is exposed to all the stuff the filters are supposedly trying to filter
  19. Are those common options on gas engines? Seems odd..
  20. I had my 08 edge with Nav dash board apart a few times. Not that bad. Although, this guy seemed to be a little ruff with the process. I was a tad more gentle. I got to say the price for that thing is pricy... Also, what is the supplemental heater that's mentioned?
