  1. I didn't give anything extra, and in turn didn't expect anything extra, just showed up to work and got paid seams pretty simple to me.
  2. questions aren't for answers they are for rumors, but i heard some similar rumors too, I question it to, but at great risk to rumor, theres a lot of trucks in them there parking lots.
  3. snow day? i doubt it. i've hear 6 to 10 inches and 18 to 24 , my guess is the first is closer to reality than the former. regardless if it snows and people don't show up the people who do show up will be there and work, maybe 4 hours but my guess is that there is a whole lotta hype over some cold light blowing snow.
  4. well the whole plant is down for the rest of the work week starting monday thru sunday, but as far as has been told to the masses they'll be up next week. but back to the maintenance, saturday night and sunday daytime is the usual time for anything major.

I assume you would like to see the line in action, sunday daytime they don't start running till 530PM and saturday they stop around 4ish other thatn that they run pretty much all the time with about an hour between shifts at 4pm during the week and half hour lunch breaks.
  12. well that is a toughy, because they give you the conversion factor, and then you have to figure out how much you made minus shift premiums, overtime premiums, personal time vacation tiem and holiday pay yada yada yada, and eventually you multiply that amount times the 3-7% and get your number, in short the best way to find out is some time in early march
  13. demand for hybrids has waned? well i guess when you are charged 7k+ you don't make the demand affordable how about making some smaller more fuel efficient cars and engines? how about a 2.3l mustang? maybe ecoboosted? who really needs a 3.5l fusion? or for those who don't really use an F-150 a F-100 ? sometimes bigger isn't always better. sorry i got side tracked, are these people real hires? or transferred factory workers,and a few engineers?

  16. they do have a lot of bean counters and there is many ways to count the beans! Im betting that they pay down some debt, VEBA contribution, specail one time charges, and when you calculate your pay that is eligable we will still get a check, but not 10k !! maybe 3k

  19. its nice, Are you planning on visiting the Henry Ford museum and greenfield village too? There is also several other things you might enjoy, the Piquette plant, the Detroit historical museum, Motown museum.
  20. im guessing we get a fat profit sharing this year, but in order to keep it we consolidate the two tier pay system to one tier, read pay cut.maybe i'm reading too much into it, but the other big two, or whats left of them have been cutting pay and raising the cheap employee levels.
