  1. I wish Ford would admit there is an ISSUE with some of the MT-82 transmissions and actually FIND AND FIX the ISSUES, IE. Lockouts, grinding, vibrations, popping out of gear, etc.. instead of applying a bandaid (ie. oil change to a lighter fluid) that DOESN'T fix anything but make the transmission "whine" ( ie. like a blower in the GT500). also I HAVE "ISSUES" WITH MY TRANSMISSION NOT A "CONCERN" as you would have your customer service people explain. You have known about these ISSUES since last year when they were actually called ISSUES, but still drag your feet on the subject, and changed your wording to "CONCERN". there is my wish that I want from FORD.
  2. I swear if i read another " you dont know how to drive stick" responce.. i guess after driving stick since i was 15 years old (now 38) your right i dont know how to drive stick.. even though every car since i was 17 y.o. has been a stick.. my dads= 87 GT 5 speed, MINE = 88 Iroc Z 5 speed, 93 GT 5 speed, 95 GT 5 speed, 2011 GT 6 speed.. those were just mine and family's cars, not to mention ALL the others throughout the years. my moms 88 Honda Accord 5-speed , which she gave to me in 2000 and i still had up until 2 months ago when i sold it with the ORIGINAL CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION with 198,000 miles on it.. so here is my issue that I flat out REFUSE to bring my car back to the dealer UNTIL they find a fix.. yes on 3 different occasion my car has been there for the same issues.. 1, Cold weather grinding 1-2 gear shift (temp under 50*) in the morning until the trans warms up.. which is about 30 - miles down the road.. 2. UNABLE TO ENGAGE 1st or 2nd AT A COMPLETE STOP WITH CLUTCH TO THE FLOOR (again under 50* temp) when the car is cold in the morning.. or has been sitting for 8+ hours and the outside ambient TEMP is below 50*. 3. VIBRATING 3rd GEAR with hand on shifter.. ( no pressure just waiting for next shift) all 3 times brought into the dealer.. and stated.. we cant replicate the problem... so i left the car in their lot one night.. showed up the next morning took the service manager AND his transmission tech for a ride.. showed him what was happening and they said.. "thats normal operation" for a transmission, even though in my entire life,, i have never had a car exhibit ANY of those symptoms.. chaning the fluid to the LIGHTHER QDC fluid that the TSB recommends will NOT fix the vibration, it MAY fix the "rough" shifting, but as for griding and complete lockout of 1st or 2nd gear at a complete STOP or slowing to a stop.. (under 10mph...i dont think so.. nor do i want to put a lighter fluid in that will cause a bearing fail, or loud whining out of my silent in gear transmission. i didnt spend $40,000 on a car to worry about the trans blowing up every time i get in it.. as of now there are more than a Handful of complains on the NHTSA website, well over 100 for both 2011 and 2012 GT's, V6, and BOSS302. but again i suppose we all dont know how to rev match up and down shifts or know how to drive stick.. guess i should go learn how to drive stick (<<< detect any sarchasm there? cause i was laying it on pretty thick)
  3. go to http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/2011-mustang-talk/268693-official-2011-mustang-manual-transmission-rough-shifting-thread.html you will see your not alone in this issue...
  4. i have had this issue only happen a few times literally count on one hand . what i found is when turning the key to the run posisition, let the computer completely cycle the gauges then move key to start position.. this gives the computer to time to run a check and let the fuel pump pressure the lines.. havnt had the issues since i started doing this.. that includes letting the car sit in the garage for over a month without starting it due to snow on the ground..
  5. yes i am.. thank you all for your help and support, in the back channels.. you know who you are.. unfortunatly all the pic that were taken are in my gf camera in her pocket book waiting to be uploaded.. but here is one taken on my cell http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?pid=31369597&id=1036640176 should be able to see it even if you dont have a facebook account.. i'll upload more when i get them.. overall impressions.. quiet, almost too quiet, 1st is a little too short esp. with 3.73's , finish is excellent, and ride is out of this world, alot of fun to drive fast, but i seem to be driving it slower than any other car ive driven when cruising around town.
  6. As some of you know the history of me trying to get my car, The owner of the dealership has stepped up at this point my experience has gone from terrible to wow.. was told my car would be here today, well another week has gone by without my 2011 GT ordered 2.11.10. if your wondering why there are NO CARS in some areas of new england? the trucking company is taking their sweet time moving them, they dont have enough trucks to transport all the cars at the offloading ramp in albany, ny and the reason the car was held up in bringhampton, there was no room to offload in Albany. a quote from the trucking company email sent to someone in the chain of whats been going on.. "too bad he has been waiting for so long, we have a backlog of transporting cars to other dealers as well, we dont have enough trucks to move them, his car will get there when it gets there". that was in the email to regional managers that was shown to me. so its not the dealers fault.. but they have really stepped up to make me happy and prevent me from buying something else, somewhere else.. so as far as the dealer stepping up.. they gave me a 2010 v-6 convertible til my car arrives. its not mine. but will hold me over til it arrives.. plus i can get used to driving a mustang again (size wise).. since my 95 GT was sold several months ago. good news i only have to pay for gas!
  7. UPDATE!! Car has been offloaded from railcar ramp owner of dealership, called me personally, advised me car will be here thursday / friday at the latest.. i'll will keep you guys updated.. and will post some pics for ya.. even tho i know you all probably have seen them all before..
  8. I need to ask.. is there anyway to get a RAIL company. to speed up their transport.. im talking about making them move .. mine is STILL sitting for over a week *(since July 1) at the same location.. at a switching yard in bringhamton, ny. has been shuffled back and forth between Norfolk Southern and CPR. but hasnt left the rail yard..
  9. ya i put that together a few days ago.. 1+1=2 but wasn't sure until now..
  10. one of the guys on TMS. lives in montreal.. bought a 2011 in the US and brought it back/, i think he said it saved him about 5k, dont know all the details, he said there was some leg work involved.. but in the long run was worth it.. if you want the thread ill see if i can find it
  11. Any New News? Or is it still awaiting another rail car?
  12. AND they removed my name off the X-plan on the sticker PRIOR to shipping from Plant.
  13. exactly.. all im getting is hear say from the dealer SM stating that he has escalated to his Regional Manager, that the car shipped and should have been changed MID TRANSIT to the correct dealership. (Stevens Ford) Milford Ct. Why would Ford take an X-plan order that was for a specific dealer, even though its closed and just decide to ship it to another dealer (Bob Thomas Ford, Hamden Ct), when all orders were supposed to be changed to Stevens, without even contacting me? especially when Ford HAS all my information regarding the car, they could have called/emailed at any point and asked me where to ship the car. now there is a huge logistics issue. that no one other than certain individuals can trace. and no recent updates on shipped vehicle, no one can tell me an ETA. only approximately where the car is I cant thank everyone enough for the info provided to me, what im trying to do is help others in the future, including myself in future orders, hopefully someone from Ford gets a hint as to the aggravating nature of my situation and alot of other customers. my circumstance is extremely rare but unfortunately that is the situation i'm in at the moment.
  14. exactly.. esp when Canadian Pacific Rail "supposedly" has the car and not norfolk southern. and no updates since july 1. wishy washy at best.
  15. well i dont need to know what he was wearing.. a long as its not grease covered overalls sitting in "my baby"
