  1. I wish Ford would admit there is an ISSUE with some of the MT-82 transmissions and actually FIND AND FIX the ISSUES, IE. Lockouts, grinding, vibrations, popping out of gear, etc.. instead of applying a bandaid (ie. oil change to a lighter fluid) that DOESN'T fix anything but make the transmission "whine" ( ie. like a blower in the GT500). also I HAVE "ISSUES" WITH MY TRANSMISSION NOT A "CONCERN" as you would have your customer service people explain. You have known about these ISSUES since last year when they were actually called ISSUES, but still drag your feet on the subject, and changed your wording to "CONCERN". there is my wish that I want from FORD.
  2. I swear if i read another " you dont know how to drive stick" responce.. i guess after driving stick since i was 15 years old (now 38) your right i dont know how to drive stick.. even though every car since i was 17 y.o. has been a stick.. my dads= 87 GT 5 speed, MINE = 88 Iroc Z 5 speed, 93 GT 5 speed, 95 GT 5 speed, 2011 GT 6 speed.. those were just mine and family's cars, not to mention ALL the others throughout the years. my moms 88 Honda Accord 5-speed , which she gave to me in 2000 and i still had up until 2 months ago when i sold it with the ORIGINAL CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION with 198,000 miles on it.. so here is my issue that I flat out REFUSE to bring my car back to the dealer UNTIL they find a fix.. yes on 3 different occasion my car has been there for the same issues.. 1, Cold weather grinding 1-2 gear shift (temp under 50*) in the morning until the trans warms up.. which is about 30 - miles down the road.. 2. UNABLE TO ENGAGE 1st or 2nd AT A COMPLETE STOP WITH CLUTCH TO THE FLOOR (again under 50* temp) when the car is cold in the morning.. or has been sitting for 8+ hours and the outside ambient TEMP is below 50*. 3. VIBRATING 3rd GEAR with hand on shifter.. ( no pressure just waiting for next shift) all 3 times brought into the dealer.. and stated.. we cant replicate the problem... so i left the car in their lot one night.. showed up the next morning took the service manager AND his transmission tech for a ride.. showed him what was happening and they said.. "thats normal operation" for a transmission, even though in my entire life,, i have never had a car exhibit ANY of those symptoms.. chaning the fluid to the LIGHTHER QDC fluid that the TSB recommends will NOT fix the vibration, it MAY fix the "rough" shifting, but as for griding and complete lockout of 1st or 2nd gear at a complete STOP or slowing to a stop.. (under 10mph...i dont think so.. nor do i want to put a lighter fluid in that will cause a bearing fail, or loud whining out of my silent in gear transmission. i didnt spend $40,000 on a car to worry about the trans blowing up every time i get in it.. as of now there are more than a Handful of complains on the NHTSA website, well over 100 for both 2011 and 2012 GT's, V6, and BOSS302. but again i suppose we all dont know how to rev match up and down shifts or know how to drive stick.. guess i should go learn how to drive stick (<<< detect any sarchasm there? cause i was laying it on pretty thick)
  3. go to http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/2011-mustang-talk/268693-official-2011-mustang-manual-transmission-rough-shifting-thread.html you will see your not alone in this issue...
  4. i have had this issue only happen a few times literally count on one hand . what i found is when turning the key to the run posisition, let the computer completely cycle the gauges then move key to start position.. this gives the computer to time to run a check and let the fuel pump pressure the lines.. havnt had the issues since i started doing this.. that includes letting the car sit in the garage for over a month without starting it due to snow on the ground..
  5. yes i am.. thank you all for your help and support, in the back channels.. you know who you are.. unfortunatly all the pic that were taken are in my gf camera in her pocket book waiting to be uploaded.. but here is one taken on my cell http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?pid=31369597&id=1036640176 should be able to see it even if you dont have a facebook account.. i'll upload more when i get them.. overall impressions.. quiet, almost too quiet, 1st is a little too short esp. with 3.73's , finish is excellent, and ride is out of this world, alot of fun to drive fast, but i seem to be driving it slower than any other car ive driven when cruising around town.
  6. As some of you know the history of me trying to get my car, The owner of the dealership has stepped up at this point my experience has gone from terrible to wow.. was told my car would be here today, well another week has gone by without my 2011 GT ordered 2.11.10. if your wondering why there are NO CARS in some areas of new england? the trucking company is taking their sweet time moving them, they dont have enough trucks to transport all the cars at the offloading ramp in albany, ny and the reason the car was held up in bringhampton, there was no room to offload in Albany. a quote from the trucking company email sent to someone in the chain of whats been going on.. "too bad he has been waiting for so long, we have a backlog of transporting cars to other dealers as well, we dont have enough trucks to move them, his car will get there when it gets there". that was in the email to regional managers that was shown to me. so its not the dealers fault.. but they have really stepped up to make me happy and prevent me from buying something else, somewhere else.. so as far as the dealer stepping up.. they gave me a 2010 v-6 convertible til my car arrives. its not mine. but will hold me over til it arrives.. plus i can get used to driving a mustang again (size wise).. since my 95 GT was sold several months ago. good news i only have to pay for gas!
  7. UPDATE!! Car has been offloaded from railcar ramp owner of dealership, called me personally, advised me car will be here thursday / friday at the latest.. i'll will keep you guys updated.. and will post some pics for ya.. even tho i know you all probably have seen them all before..
  8. I need to ask.. is there anyway to get a RAIL company. to speed up their transport.. im talking about making them move .. mine is STILL sitting for over a week *(since July 1) at the same location.. at a switching yard in bringhamton, ny. has been shuffled back and forth between Norfolk Southern and CPR. but hasnt left the rail yard..
  9. ya i put that together a few days ago.. 1+1=2 but wasn't sure until now..
  10. one of the guys on TMS. lives in montreal.. bought a 2011 in the US and brought it back/, i think he said it saved him about 5k, dont know all the details, he said there was some leg work involved.. but in the long run was worth it.. if you want the thread ill see if i can find it
  11. Any New News? Or is it still awaiting another rail car?
  12. AND they removed my name off the X-plan on the sticker PRIOR to shipping from Plant.
  13. exactly.. all im getting is hear say from the dealer SM stating that he has escalated to his Regional Manager, that the car shipped and should have been changed MID TRANSIT to the correct dealership. (Stevens Ford) Milford Ct. Why would Ford take an X-plan order that was for a specific dealer, even though its closed and just decide to ship it to another dealer (Bob Thomas Ford, Hamden Ct), when all orders were supposed to be changed to Stevens, without even contacting me? especially when Ford HAS all my information regarding the car, they could have called/emailed at any point and asked me where to ship the car. now there is a huge logistics issue. that no one other than certain individuals can trace. and no recent updates on shipped vehicle, no one can tell me an ETA. only approximately where the car is I cant thank everyone enough for the info provided to me, what im trying to do is help others in the future, including myself in future orders, hopefully someone from Ford gets a hint as to the aggravating nature of my situation and alot of other customers. my circumstance is extremely rare but unfortunately that is the situation i'm in at the moment.
  14. exactly.. esp when Canadian Pacific Rail "supposedly" has the car and not norfolk southern. and no updates since july 1. wishy washy at best.
  15. well i dont need to know what he was wearing.. a long as its not grease covered overalls sitting in "my baby"
  16. frustrating was back first week of June.. and i do appreciate all help from those that have been supplying it privately. very aggravated at this entire situation, this has not been a pleasant experience, (unlike my last car), has caused issues in my personal life, delayed trips and weekends due to "you car will be here" type statements. now any incentives that i had, are now expired.. July 6th so there goes $1250 worth of more aggravation..
  17. here is what i dont understand.. 1 supposedly this car hasnt moved a week? on a rail car? short of mechanical failure, sorry not buying that. its not getting shipped internationally. it going to CT. 2 the dealer stated they have another car (ordered late april) due to them this week. they expect my car to come in on the same truck? they think my car was on the same rail but not sure. their cars ETA July 7th 3 they STILL cant track my car so everything is a guess.
  18. can use some help.. need some up to date tracking info on my car.. Vin listed earlier in the thread.. page 1 i believe PM it to me, i know it would be done as a courtesy, so i dont want anyone getting into trouble.. thanks in advance..
  19. how up to date is V.V. once a car is in transit? and is it normal for a car not to move for 5 days once on a train?
  20. in response to #1 .. My dealer that i ordered through was closed by Ford " dont have enough cars to handle so many dealerships in the area" they closed, at least 5 dealers in a 25 mi radius (as the crow flies). (fairfield , stratford, ansonia, west haven, east haven) #2 Dude.. where's my car? last i checked sitting in transit and hasn't moved since july 1st though my dealer promised me delivery in my hands by july 5th.. left the plant on June 22, officially starting 15days of being on a train to transport? VP im with you on your entire statement.. i had to go to several dealers in my area before 1: i was comfortable and thought i could trust (used lightly) the sales staff and dealership itself 2: they accepted my x-plan and lack of communication there after has been horrendous, aggravating, and stressful. i've canceled / postponed 3 different weekend events due to now having this car.
  21. if anyone can send me a full detail of shipping.. i would appreciate it.. PM it to me. i dont want anyone getting in any type of trouble or sticking their neck out.. your PM will be kept between you and me
  22. i know there is no train from detroit to ct.. there are so many side aspects of this fiasco it not even funny.. so in your est. what would you say as far as when ill see this car? before or after the 4th? it should be getting shipped to Stevens Ford in Milford Ct.
  23. In Transit Passing Blasn, NY (Norfolk Southern Corp ) Jun-29-2010, 20:51 ET , think it should be in CT by now hell i can drive to buffalo in 6 hours from my location but a train cant make it to CT from where ever Balsn is?.. i have been getting bits and pieces of where it is by inside sources that i will not mention any further, that is the only way my DEALER was able to find the car and found out it was shipped to another.. as far as who promised spring delivery? Dealer, regional Rep. and FORDS ADVERTISEMENTS! dealer didnt even know i could place an order in feb. thats why he called the regional rep. sorry that in it self is poor CS from any company.. and not only the dealer i ordered through but others locally as well had no clue we could order so early.. i personally hit f5 on the computer to complete the order, they had allocations this was PRIOR to R.O.V. .. they said " late april to early may for delivery.." i know they didnt start building til mid march.. and wass prepared for a short wait, in fact i even said to my gf "if i get it by june 1 ill be suprised" i didnt recieve my VIN until april 30th.. when others already were taken delivery altho only a small few at that time.. i understand QC issues.,. i understand patience. but sorry.. 6 months from order to delivery is unacceptable in this day and age esp when i mentioned later orders being placed delivered and in possession in less than a month. to borrow a quote from another forum member.. "you cant sell a product based on emotion, then complain about that emotion when expectations are not met". sorry ford dropped the ball big time, there are ALOT of people that have been long time Mustang enthusiast such as my self who are not happy with the way this has all been handled, of which placed orders to have them by the summer.. not take delivery mid summer.. and sorry July is MID SUMMER to me. when promised " SPRING" by the way i found my original Window sticker and you can tell by the date on the bottom its totaly different from the one pulled today.. WindowSticker Rick\'s 2011 GT.pdf
  24. here is my options list.. http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=1ZVBP8CF1B5121481 by the way it origianly was listed as an X-Plan in the sticker with my name listed there in the options.. but PRIOR to shipping the sticker was changed due to the dealer that it was going to get shipped to closed.. and FORD decided to send the car to another dealer in the area, on-top of the fact no one could track it. as far as how come no one could track it.. V.V. can only track cars purchased by that dealer.. thats what i was told by CS, and several dealers.. you dont know the full story of b.s that has transpired like i said, i gave your the very short abridged version.. nor do you any of you fully understand mine or Khadir's issues.. so think twice prior to passing judgment on anyone that that is complaining about an order.. i read on here something about McDonald's well think of it this was.. you place your order for a big mac hold the pickles.. but 300 bigmacs get served while and stand there and watch other come and go WELL after you ordered yours.. guess what they are now home sitting watching tv.. but your still sitting at McDonald waiting for that bigmac you ordered yesterday.. because since you custom ordered yours, its special
  25. as far as equipment wise .. 5 others on that list were EXACT same options packages not to mention others on different sites.. color, options, save for roof type all cars were identicle .. try reading that ... there is a list of build to delivery dates.. and alot havnt been updated.. http://forums.themustangsource.com/f726/build-delivered-vin-sequence-483256/index48/
