I have a 2010 F-150 XLT SuperCrew 5.4L with 11,000 miles on it. Recentley I've noticed a loud clicking sound inside the cabin. The sound is coming from the Cannister Purge Solenoid. Is this loud clicking normal? I didn't seem to notice it for the first 8,000 miles, now its driving me crazy. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Brian

Update. I had my truck into a dealership and the tech said the clicking was from the "Fuel Pressure Monitor" system. It wasn't clicking when he opened the hood, then it went on and started clicking....He immediately said it was the Fuel Pressure System and showed me where it was located near the firewall, Does this sound right?

I have a 2010, F-150 XLT Supercrew, 5.4L with 9,000 miles on it. Recently, I have been hearing a faint clicking sound inside the cabin. It sounds like its coming from behind the radio. I took it to a Ford dealer who told me its the "normal" injector pulse sound. I didn't hear this for the first 8,500 miles. The clicking sound is prensent 85% of the time, even when the fan and all HVAC systems are shut off. Its faint, but its annoying the hell out of me. Has anyone else experieced this? Does this sound like an accurate diagnosis?

I have a 2010 F-150 Supercrew XLT with 8,000 miles on it. The other day, I noticed at puddle of transmission fluid on the garage floor. The fluid levels are fine, the transmission is smooth as glass, and the leak seemed to have stopped on its own. Has anyone else experienced this? What could be the cause, and how would it stop on its own? Should I worry about this? Is scheduled to go into the dealer tomorrow for a look see. Is there a GSB out on this issue? Someone told me there was....Thanks

Well, I'm no longer looking for a 2011 SuperCrew. I found a 2010 XLT Supercrew, loaded, with 3,700 miles on it that someone traded in after owning it for 6 months. I traded a '98 Nissan Maxima with 141,000 miles and walked out the door with the truck for $25,750. I couldn't say no.

Does a dealer collect more money on holdback if they sell a vehicle the day it arrives on their lot, as opposed to selling it on day 89 ? I quess I am asking if holdback money diminishes the longer a vehicle sits on their lot. And what happens after 90 days? Thanks

I'm looking at a 2011 XLT SuperCrew, 4x4 with 5.0L with Convenience, Chrome, and Plus Package. I have an offer from a dealer for $36,890...can I do better? I live in Massachusetts? What do you think I should pay for such a truck?

What the heck is an "X-Plan" can anyone use it ? Who is elidgeable ? What is a D plan etc?

Is anyone else unimpressed with current Ford Factory Rebates? Currently $3,000 in my area of New England. Considering its the worst ecomony in recent history, and gas is $4 and rising. I hope Ford comes up with some better incentives for the Summer Sales Event, because these current rebates don't give me any incentive to buy a Ford, and I'm dying to by a Ford....Any thoughts?

I asked a dealer for his best "out the door price" on a 2011 XLT Super Crew. He took MSRP, subtracted the Ford rebates and arrived at his final number. I wasn't impressed. Is it unrealistic to start at the Invoice price, subtract Ford rebates, and arrive at an "out the door" price? What is a fair price on a XLT Supercrew 5.0, with 5.5 bed, 3.55 gears, Covenience, Chrome, Tow, and Plus package? Thanks

I just thought that if your reverse sensors were picking something up, that you would want to be able to see what is was picking up through your back up camera. It just seems logical that a back up camera and a reverse sensing system would be included in the same package.

Does anyone know why the "Plus" package comes with reverse sensors but no back up camera? I know the back up camera is a separate "add on" feature, but what really doesn't make sense to me is that of all the XLT's Super Crews that I have see on dealer lots that have the "Plus" package, not a single one has the back up camera as well. Why doesn't Ford make any "plus" package SLTs that have the back up camera already installed? It's looking like I am going to have to order one with the backup camera if I really want one. This seems like poor planning from Ford. Why is so hard to get a back up camera on a XLT Supercrew? This is driving me crazy...

I'm sitting here with my down payment for an 2011 Super Crew XLT burning a hole in my pocket as I watch gas prices approach $4 a gallon here in Massachusetts ($3.69 currently) I am having second thought about making the purchase... Is anyone else thinking twice about buying a truck with gas prices on the rise? Will this affect sales of the F-150 nationwide? and how will Ford respond?

I am looking for a 2011 XLT supercrew with the backup camera. I live in Massachusetts and no dealers have XLT's with back up cameras on the lot. Is Ford not putting them in XLT's? Am I going to have to order an XLT to get a back up camera??
