Thanks to Cyberdman for the assistance in tracking and Neuromancer for stepping in to help him out while he was away. I picked up my new Raptor on 20 MAY 2011. Loving it so far. Correct, I believe this is the non-metallic black used on the Ford Ranger currently.

Just got off the phone w/ Ford Customer Care. Apparently my Tux Black 2011 Raptor has a VIN now, but no scheduling info. Called my dealer to get confirmation and they're going to pull the latest status. Thus far it looks like my order placed 28 FEB is a go for Tux Black unless I find otherwise. I'll keep everyone posted Update: Dealer confirmed my VIN to be built the week of 02 May in Tuxedo Black!

Looks like Ford might be adding another Black color as an option for the 2011 Raptor and maybe other affected vehicles that had Tuxedo Black as an option. Posted on fordraptorforum.com:

Well, there's at least news related to the German owned Japanese plant that produces the xirallic paint pigment for Ford and other auto manufacturers. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/44354-ford-issues-public-statement-on-paint-material-supply-issues/page__st__20 The short and sweet version is that workers are back at the plant and they hope to be back to full capacity by June 1.

Anyone else have any updated info?

Due to the shortage of the Japanese produced Xirallic paint pigment I just hope I get my truck before my birthday in June. Hope Ford quickly finds a way to get around this setback.

Forgot to say that I hate it when they use non-absolute terms like "a little longer". Who knows what that means to Ford? Could be a week longer or it could push the average wait for a Raptor from 11 weeks to 16 or 18. Who knows. Just have to wait and see though. Hopefully Ford is pretty transparent with this issue as much as practical.

That article give some hope. My order has been in for a month. I figured I'd get screwed because it hadn't been pulled yet, but the article makes it sound like I've still got a shot. Not counting on anything until I get a VIN and even then dates are subject to change. I think I'm past the venting stage and now just taking a wait and see approach. Sorry if that sounds like a nuclear reactor. No pun intended. Lol.
