Hopefully the just barely international president leaves his "I'm a bad ass" stuff at home. Then too it might be different going into negociations without all those IUAW Eboard members at the table, that had deals that only benefited them and the companies.
-
Hope the new UAWD opp`s IUAW has a plan and some negociating experience ready. The lead attorney of the IUAW said her good byes Monday. I'm sure this will all come into place with great benefits for active members. Since the last increase in LIB`s was 2007 I'm thinking the retirees should be in line for a monthly bump. Maybe something to offset all the inflation in the world today. But really with all the right boxes checked in our IUAW and the security of a democratic socialist governing mindset we will be just fine.

Ok... CAP has all the boxes checked but we are completely lost. We have people in orientation classes that use to go to the floor for a day maybe before never returning. But now we have people ask in orientation how much they will be getting paid and about benefits, after the answers are given, they get up and walk out. New Process Coaches unsure of their jobs and get a bucket full of lies from newly appointed team managers. LL5`s leaving for every other company. HR is frequented by former Belvedere former employees, then are overwhelmed in days. VO and NMPD sending advisors that have never walked on a plant floor. But have a backpack full of new CAD that will fix all that CAP gets wrong. It's like giving a uniform to a person and sitting them in the driver seat of a tour bus. Then go into denial when the driver gets lost before leaving the parking lot. I hope CAP is the only lost process in the assembly process but if not Ford is doomed to repeat history.

For all those Ford employee`s that have a woman, young female adult or daughter in their life.... we should be so lucky to have this type of message come from our corporate leadership. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/leahbarkoukis/2023/04/20/egard-watch-company-ad-n2622190 Woke, is not the truth.

Inclusion promotions, equality in no experience, accountability for no one and now add in a man that was a district committee rep at a 1071 member local before spending the last bunch of years as a an IUAW VP office helper, now the president of our international union. At his first presidential speech he asks "are you ready to rummmmmbbbbllllleee". I kinda expected some WWF wrestlers to jump off the stage. This at the special bargaining convention.... We are going to see some real interesting times not to far down the road.

Ford has worked hard to become in step with the woke ideology. There's every form of diversity plugged into every position of authority. Ford holds hard to the excuse generation process so as to hold no position of authority in any way accountable for any decisions made. For the last two or three model year launches the results of the launch processes can prove the basis of the lack of one category of diversity that Ford has forgot or purposely over looks to fulfill the woke mindset. The diverse background and/or thinking has left Ford. Then of course Ford has forgot how experience plays in any position of authority. Is Ford`s positions of authority repeating its mistakes, again?

Ahh contract years are always interesting. But, then the things about Ford having just plain poor decision makers slips out. Ford Cannot Manage Itself (msn.com)

Chicago uses the new assembly process also. Contract truck drivers with three unit trailers to transport units to one of 5 storeage lots. Allow units to sit long eough to receive the chips, scratch's and dents then load the units back on the three unit trailers to be moved to another storeage lot or back to the plant the plant. Then the new production process starts over every shift. But thanks to orders we have sold all Police/Service units we can produce. for the 2023 model year. Now there isn't much thought of delivery dates. FTT is still being generated for all the pretty charts and visitors. I suggested we keep a tally of FTISL... first time in storage lot

The CFO sends out warnings to the Ford salaried team members. Pack up all your suit cases now and hit the turnstile or possibly leave a big suit case behind next year. Hmm the reason for this warning is the possibilities of a market dive. I`m sure the bottom line that the CFO is glued to has some barring on the warning, also. Then why no warnings from the IUAW? Market dives and bottom line will effect VEBA, Ford/UAW Retirement Benefit`s and oh yeah negotiations. Wait never mind, I forgot the IUAW is busy training new EBoard members.... Has Ford ever stopped falling into the black hole since Mulally left? "Ford CEO Farley, tells retired engineers fixing quality will 'take several years'. Why discuss quality with retired engineers? Kinda like talking to 5 year olds about unicorns...... maybe he`s begging them to come back?

Economy was what? Union members working OT? Disposable spending at its highest in years? Did everything to get rid of what? As far as sitting down for dinner or drinks naa I don`t think he`d be first on my list but one thing for sure the "would have done" list sure would be better than our current state of affairs.

Union Worker Lash Out After Biden Betrays Union Works...... imagine that.... Democrat's & Union`s go together like fools and their money.....
-
Well the knuckleheads and their rumors have Ford not only giving away golden eggs but the goose too. Signing bonus that will pay off mortgages, insurance coverage that cover anything and your dogs & kitties too, retirees finally getting the rumored (for decades) $3500 a month (after Taxes) and the alternate work schedule & all the tier are Hiss Torr Eee.... so the story goes. The next contract will be very interesting, I am sure.

Non Legacy have no side to be thrown too. It was said, it would be a good thing, for us to help the poor auto industry stay in business by agreeing to these benefits. Legacy members, LIB`s most likely will be as stagnant as they have been for years.
-
IMO, the first five items are possible. Number six is something that would take a bit more work. Seeing as pensions within the auto industry are now less and less of importance at the negotiation's because the group of members eligible is getting smaller by the day. Number one on my wish list would be a complete one time payment of all monetary pension benefits. Next months IUAW elections could make things very different from past negotiation's.

CAP is lost.... but we got our boxes checked. Box cars full of money sent to the plant through 2019 for the 2020 model. Was it spent as it was reported out to be? Not so much. ABB has the all-new equipment completely assembled in their facility and running. Send it to the plant and dam the naa we don`t need that or let's hold off on these thingy's, starts. ABB engineers state the programing wasn`t set up for the CAP changes. CAP engineers state umm what? programing? Shit ain`t ran as planned since day one. CAP engineer`s "Ooooo" that looks cool. Buy it!!! Special Order----> 250K stacker - 25K charger - 30K extra battery.... hmmm it can`t be used with Magna Drums... Opp`s What you mean it`s non-returnable? You can`t make this shit up
-
Ok when the tables are set with all the popcorn, chip`s, cookies and bottled water free for the taking at the entrance of the plant, most just grab and go... There was this kind of set up at CAP this week. A small booklet was there for the taking "UAW - FORD JOINT TRUSTS". Reginal UAW Rep`s said their howdy`s and how are you`s but little in the way of what the exchange was other than it is in the last contract. In the booklet it lists 14 committee`s in the Trusts Governance with two main headings as LMC and VEBA Trusts. VEBA Trust Fund? This Trust Fund is listed as covering Tuition Assistance Program, ESSP, Joint Apprenticeship & Training and the Voluntary Employees` Beneficiary Association. After the last few less than favorable contracts and the facts now in place these contracts were negotiated by current inmates, I`ve lost a lot of interest in keeping up with the fine print. So it was news to me that the retiree`s health care insurance VEBA (handed off to the IUAW with a big bucket of cash and stock) is such a large umbrella for all these different trust`s. Are all the programs being funded by VEBA in general? Could that be why the co-pays for meds and office visits go up for retirees`? August of 2022 what a coincidence, when do the fine cigars and high back chairs get rolled out in Dearborn for the gathering of those with our best interests in mine?

Russian Bot Alert...............

If your on the waiting list for your not built yet Lightning it will now set you back another $8500..... Our comedian CEO forgot to let everyone how this stuff will be so expensive and hard to get, just to put your next fad together. Oh the other thing our CEO might touch on after your done signing the second mortgage for your EV is the fact "fast charging cuts the average battery life span by close to half". Footballfan you are so correct the cash cow is falling apart. One underlying facts is the glass house still believes the old line "if you`re a manager you can manage in any department". We have process engineer`s with associates degrees in marketing from on line universities. As for any background or experience in actual automotive manufacturing that isn`t even asked in the interview process. Then most customers have no idea they are paying not only for the product but they are the unpaid R&D team.

4 or so months away from the first members voted in IUAW executive board. 13 months away from contract expiration. Inflation at a 40 year high, recession or whatever it's called started. Then..... this. https://twitter.com/SenJohnKennedy/status/1556378108445564928 Everyone on one side of the isle "everyone" votes to raise taxes. Imagine that. With those UAWD`res at the constitutional convention making all those great "DAM the CONCESSIONS" rants and not really sure there is another convention for their demands (Collective Bargaining Conv.) but they all have our best interest in mine. Hmm it`s starting to come into focus.... sales decline, companies start the whining, IUAW throws out something we`ve heard before "It`s the best we could negotiate". All while the UAWD National Chairman takes his mid-day nap and dreams of a union that puts in place the best socialist paradise ever....

Astonishing Testimony From Dr. Birx Lost Amid SCOTUS Rulings – PJ Media Dr. Birx “All I know is there was evidence from the global pandemic that natural reinfection was occurring. Since the vaccine was based on natural immunity, you cannot make the conclusion that the vaccine will do better than natural infection. Although it can often do slightly better.”

As for the possibilities of the pre mentioned fad being something in that line for "EV", FHEV", and "PHEV" offerings? All "EV" SUV` s, Sedan`s and Trucks have a little something that is just not mentioned much in all the PR. Well lets just say one goes with the popular movement and goes crazy... new "EV" truck or SUV to pull the family`s get a way camper. Load all the gear in the bed or behind the 3rd row seats and put all the kids in the back seat, don`t forget Momma and her laptop. Put the camper in place. Now put your happy foot on the peddle and hear the quite rush of wind on your windshield. Now lets just say you went crazy to the tune of oh say $90K for your get a way green friendly chariot because as the friendly sales person said you gunna get 400 mile between plug in`s. Well umm nope. Any "EV" burdened with rated towing weight and passengers will see ready for this a "50%" range reduction. So.... Happy Trails Too You... as the song goes

There`s a young lady in Texas that stated it very well just yesterday, the wave has started. Congratulations Mayra Flores It seems a Democratic Socialist, National Chair of the UAWD got the results and it doesn`t look good for the UAWD or the UAWD Chairman`s nominee`s in the local 551 general election. I guess the National Chair of the UAWD will show up (again) at the Constitutional Convention as always and jump out his clown car ready to hand out charges against the IUAW members. Ahhh the Democratic Socialist's dreams for the UAWD.... maybe the national uawd chairman can start campaigning for AOC or the squad or comrade Bernie

akirby you have pretty much hit that nail on the head. If I can add some build (launch) information, there is a mindset that needs to be cleared up a little. EV and the FHEV & PHEV are not the same obviously. But this is not as obvious to some. With the EV models there will be facilities that produce (assemble) just the EV models. This will be separate from the FHEV & PHEV units. Example, CAP will continue to produce all PHEV & FHEV 611 & 625 units. Along with all the 625 police or service units, with all three trim/chassis level options currently. In addition CAP 625 service units will be offered in PHEV & FHEV. The 611 & 625 EV`s may not be assembled at CAP this is true for the 2023MY & 2024MY but.... all 611 & 625 PHEV & FHEV`s will be produced at CAP for both model years. CAP will not be at a loss from any current model`s or CAP will not lose any Trim level options from current offerings. There will be an addition of another ICE offering for the 625 service units for 2023MY. There will be slightly different electronic offerings but basically CAP like most assembly facilities will not be at a loss for their facilities. As for the ICE, 2024MY will still offer ICE options across the CAP product line. Unfortunately for the rumor mongers, CAP isn't losing any product capacity. One thing CAP is... we are maxed out on Trim Level options. So not getting (or as some say losing) (how do you lose something you never had?) the 611 & 625 EV`s isn`t a bad thing. Hell by the time the company starts full production of EV`s across the product line, the fad maybe over.... like fat rear wheel Harley`s An Electric Vehicle is a different assembly process from the Full Hybrid Electric Vehicle & Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicle.

GoooooD Morrrrrrning 551!!!!! (well afternoon) You might have heard it`s that time again, local elections are here There is a little different spin this time and the title has been softly spoken about a group at the 551. That title is UAWD. After the mountain of questions I did a little home work. So grab an ice cold coke and a big bucket of pop corn cause it`s one of those long winded Decker ramblings.... Who? What? or is the UAWD…? The “Unite – All – Workers for – Democracy” is a small group of UAW activists that has taken on the task of working with other groups to get UAWD members elected in Local Union positions to push the UAWD agenda`s. Kinda like AutoWorkers Caravan or New Direction or New Minds etc, etc, etc but, one big difference, UAWD is in your face Socialism. As for the “who” part of UAWD, “In an interview with WSWS the UAWD Chairperson (member Houldieson) referenced who UAWD is aligned with.” World Socialist Web Site - 20 Feb. 2020 (WSWS) “Scott Houldieson, National Chairperson of the UAWD and former vice president of UAW Local 551 at Chicago Ford Assembly.” “The UAWD is largely a creation of the Labor Notes group in alliance with the Democratic Socialists of America.” Then the “what” part of the UAWD is agenda, agenda, and more agenda which…. follows and mirrors the instructions given at the 2021 Democratic Socialists of America`s convention as written in the DSA resolutions. “The Democratic Socialist Labor Commission (DSLC) is a body of DSA`ers who are union members (UAW) and district rep`s, union staff, workers center activists, union officers, labor journalists and union retirees. From the DSA web site, “We (DSA Leadership) also encourage all “DSA members in the UAW” to join the reform movement by becoming members of the UAWD. UAW members who sign up will get more information on UAWD conference calls, in-person meet-ups planned for the Labor Notes Conference, and materials to support the DSA resolutions that should be submitted at their locals so these DSA resolutions can be submitted at the next National UAW Constitutional Convention.” How many times has the National Chairman of the UAWD and his UAWD members tried to submit DSA resolutions at our Local General Membership meetings? “At the 2021 DSA National Convention. One of the resolutions mandated the creation of the DSA at a local union level, with working groups. With a growing network of local labor working groups working in coordination with and via the DSA. That will better support the socialist rank-and-file labor movement comrade`s.” (comrades? ) Is the National Chairperson of the UAWD (Houldieson) and are the other UAW members that member Houldieson nominated for positions in our Local election “DSA rank and file labor movement comrade`s?” Is the Chairperson of the UAWD ultimately strengthening the UAWD to control the UAW Local 551 as a Socialist Union? In looking on the internet I found something else buried deep in these DSA resolutions. Something that the UAWD National Chairperson (Houldieson) must agree with because he is trying to submit these DSA resolutions at our General Membership Meetings. This DSA resolution states “BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, The DSA Reaffirms — in word and deed — the spirit of Marx’s declaration: workers of the world unite! We have nothing to lose but our chains. We have a world to win.” To clarify, Marxism is a root basis of Communism. There is a fine line between the act of reform and the actions to overthrow. The Chairperson of the Unite All Workers for Democracy, (Houldieson) is following the instructions of the Democratic Socialists of America by being nominated for the position of President of UAW Local 551. He is promoting Democratic Socialists resolutions at UAW Local 551. If elected, will the Chairperson of the UAWD and those candidates’ the UAWD National Chairman nominated for positions in our Local election follow through with the DSA movement to push the UAW Local 551 into a socialist/communism Marxism based UAW Local?
