  1. I guess, with the election side shows starting up, we will not be hearing much about the how this situation played out.....? Decker 1 of the 1788
  2. You, do realize that an appointment has to have the Regional approval, blessing and/or okeedoekee before it is concidered "approved"..... right? What is going on in our labor organization is more or less at the point where the fat lady has begun to sing. In other words it is over. The labor movement in general could not hold their heads up much, if at all, when it comes to achievements. Hold on to your pants haters.... yeah yeah... I remember "I`m thankful to have a J-O-B". Is it just me or has the stairway that we were on turned into a slide? We started heading to the bottom back a few years ago, with all the half truths about helping the company or helping the company stay a float. "J-O-B security" remember? Then the union agreeing to use (as long as the due`s were collected from day one) of throw away employee`s "TPT`s" or "STPT`s" or "LTS`s" now "Entry Level" all to help save our J-O-B`s... Then there was the "open this" and/or "open that" that gave us all the warm and fuzzies about what??? Yep, we all gave "this and/or that up" to save our "J-O-B`s". As far as the warm and fuzzies I remember those feelings about the last contract. Remember all the smiles and hand shaking at the local halls when the contract was presented as the BEST thing for the membership? We would or did I hear SHOULD be thankful you have a J-O-B.... Now really, I AM THANKFUL I HAVE MY 28 BUCKS SECURE FOR A FEW MORE YEARS....unless the open this or that thingy starts up again....or when talks start up for the next "suprise" we will call our contract. Labor Movement? People "united" to speak for, negotiate for and fight for every single voice in the membership, as a UNION....right? This is where the warm and fuzzies slip right off the cliff... How can a "UNION" allow so many different ways to treat identical issues at different plants and/or units so F`en differently? We have one plant allowing it this way and another unit allowing it that way. Then we have interpretations as diverse as the fish in the F`en ocean.... and all reading the same... contract? "Just one example", start one group of Trades members at one plant at 7PM and the very same type of Trades members at another plant at "Oh Lets Say" 6:30PM? UNITY IN THE RANKS??? Hell, here at CAP we can`t get the same interpretation between departments on most occasions, much less figure out all the exceptions to the contract that just keep popping up. UNIONIZED? Really? So many members have and are experiencing really different income levels from what we had in the recent past. The loss of different overtime calculations, the loss of weekend days as premium days of the week and the loss of voluntary time worked. All in the name of saving our jobs? What ever happened to the 8 hour day? When did the Union realize (except) that a 10.7 hour day was "normal"? How did a 12 hour day become good for a members family? As for the entry level members, can any of us that are not entry level, even understand what 14 or 15 dollars an hour is like? (doing the same operations that other members get 28 dollars an hour for) Not to mention, all the other different levels of benefits these entry level members have that are totally different from non entry level members. I will leave out the facts that we at CAP have even a lower class than the entry level, LTS members. Unity? Unionized? Unity? Equality in the Rank and File? The Auto Industry (Ford) has and will continue to stay focused on the 3 to 5 years in the future, technique of business and this was proven once again with this last contract. Is there any hope that the IUAW will ever stop being razzle dazzled by the smoke and mirrors of some of the best front men the Auto Industry have? Could any of us even hope for the IUAW sitting down at the table prepared to negotiate our lives, with the hired guns (Research Experts, CPA`s, Business Analyst`s, Corporate Group Specialists) that the Auto Industry does? Looking forward to the "hand shake and verbal agreements" in our near future. :reading: Decker 1 of the 1788
  3. <p> Yes, this person will have his lifetime appointment. Hired off the street 7 months ago. Worked prior in a management position (for his brother) before he it the lottery..... Not one sister or brother currently a long term dues paying member could fill the Presidents list of qualified members for this appointment. What`s next? Well.... It dosen`t seem like its been three years..?? Its not but, you can tell its getting close!!! you can almost smell the hot dogs and donuts... ahhh yes... IT`S TIME!!! Roll out the dirty politics... set the stage with all the Half Truths and THROW the GLITTERY PROMISES into the AIR!!!!! Strike Up the Band, get the Teams Stories Straight and Pass Out the Favors... !!!!!!! THE GRAND ELECTION TOUR HAS BEGUN !!!!!!!! Decker
  4. Sounds like you`re really interested in another man`s dick.... Nick. That`s cool, your sexual preference is a freedom you have. Your humor, I guess, falls under the freedom of speech.... Decker
  5. Going to be warm this weekend!!! Twincam. I`ll be on mine, you too? Coming from a person the goes by DORK? It would seem he knows "stupid" real well.... Got that second post under your belt fordmichiganman, you`re well on your way to being a pillar of information, on the board.. :shades: By the way Dork, its "Decker" not "dcker". Is it just me, or can anyone else hear the sheep? B) Decker 1 of the 1788
  6. Pagan, You will be working on all the same parts for CAP for at least 2 more model years. CAP will be producing the same 5 models as it is currently producing. We will start the first stage of the 2014 launch with all 5 models in the line up, not to far in the future. FRAP is listed as an "Over Flow" facility, the number of orders for the Fusion will dictate the production schedule at FRAP. The MKZ is a low volume model, it would stand to reason that the MKZ would flow to FRAP if the Fusion numbers increase to the point that scheduling would push the MKZ out of the daily line up at Hermosillo to raise the number of Fusion`s produced. Unless.... maybe.... OMG the MKZ is going the way of the Mercury???? (just starting a rumor, the sheeps love-rumors) :grouphug: People....It is all in the numbers. For every MKZ produced it pushes a Fusion back. So to make more Fusions you pull out the low volume MKZ. If the numbers for Fusion raise even higher the move will be to push orders to the "overflow" facility..... MKZ? or MKS?? really on the same platform. No full size Lincoln Sedan? Who knows maybe.... Just an example.... we here at CAP went weeks without producing one MKS, OK, did anyone see any gaps in the line where the MKS was before we stopped producing it? Nope.... why not? Well for some strange reason (not really that strange) the gaps were filled up, yep!!! and guess what was in the holes (not cream filling like so and so`s donuts) left by the missing MKS`s.... Taurus`s? NO!!! "Low an behold", those pesky line up people filled those dam gap`s with (drum roll, please) that dam high volume U502, Explorer, to the civilians. People, all this is.... is, orders and numbers. Are they moving anything? Are they putting us against us? Are we so overwhelmed by the rumors and grade "A" sheep shit to step back from the cliff? Think of it as orders that flow from one Chinese sweat shop to the other sweat shop down the alley. When the orders for noddles get to be to much, the owner has to fill orders so he sends some down the alley. Now everyone is happy!!! :hyper: Work for the masses!!! Noddles for the Masses!!! :D Profit for the owner!!! Everyone happy. :yup: One question, what do you think happens to the over flow sweat shop down the alley, if the orders fall off? :eek5: I think my union sisters and brothers at FRAP realize what a niche product is and how the niche market changes like the breeze coming off the lake. I love the Mustang!!! but... it don`t sell like a F150,F250,Focas,Explorer,Police units,Escape,Fusion..... So being an overflow facility is a good thing. Decker 1 of the 1788
  7. SARRRCASSSSUMMM....... dude :glare: nice tie ..... dude
  8. Thanks for givin me a break.... and for settin me straight.... dude.
  9. Doughtful There`s a Point Nick You have topped yourself again.... Lack of leadership, loss of employment, loss of an eye..... hilarious Is it fear that makes you respond in a defense mode by laughing like a frightened child? Not, LMAO in CAP..... Decker
  10. uaw12, If you have been here at CAP in the last 2 years then you have an idea of whats going on. Nothing more than a complete lack of leadership. The membership got what they voted for. We have members that would rather be told who to vote for then, to use their minds to see if the "friend of a friend" has any abilities..... The team comes through and all but tells the membership "don`t think we did that for you", now vote for who we tell you too!!! Looking at the table of E-board members last Sunday, was telling the ture story of leadership at the 551. Now don`t get me wrong, we did have a small number of board members that didn`t have the deer in the head lights look on their faces.... but a few only needed antlers to complete the picture. Our Unit Chair and Unit talked with the members and dicussed the severity of the situation. They gave their advice and was very active in the discussion. There was a certain air of fear or unwillingness to engauge with the membership coming from some members of the board. (antlers, remember antlers) I believe this membership owes the most respect to our ESSP Rep`s. They had the strength to walk to the front of the meeting and start the discussion about the altercation. With their input and the help of a chaplaincy committee member, along with different members giving their support, I believe with their (ESSP Rep`s) guidence it put the membership into a frame of mine that was in no way confrontational. When the discussion turned to blame, we had members step up to point out that we need the leadership that comes from the everyday interaction between members. It was stated, we all have to interact, ask if a member is alright, don`t turn away when things don`t feel right and call for assistance from all the support members in the plant, if you have too, call the Fricken PoePoe!!! the 800 number is worthless...well kinda. System break downs, computers froze up, machineary at the edge of its life span and humans.......? Yes, we are no different than the other parts or tools of the production system. The profit will me made no matter what. Hire more, hire more, pay them half and wonder why there is animosity. Ford, pays back political debt, (millions of dollars from the state and city tax payers) by putting in place a workforce made up of people the govenor and mayor send..... How can these members feel inclued? They pay dues from day one to an employment agency (UAW) and make profits for shareholders (Ford) all at the time they are being told they should be thankful they have a job.... ever wonder why the cycle rates are so F`en screwed up? Entry Level operators..?.... can`t say their out of cycle time on the operations? They can`t say shit, their running to much just to keep up with their job....but thankful. Come on haters.... point it out....show the old long hair he`s full of shit....we are all disposable, there will be thousands standing in line to do all those easy ass jobs we all do....really? Maybe one of those fricken congressman that stated how easy the work is, can have a discussion with the thousands that have come and gone since we started this 3 crew shit......? I can`t say I`m sorry about this rant..... WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE.... don`t they control sheep like this? Once again I have not seen a picture. I`m unaware of any altercation between any unit or any president. Oh...fuck the rumor makers, TOO!!! I may be a sorry individual with the long hair an tatt`s, in some eyes.. but, one thing is for sure NO I`m not sorry for the RANT!!! !!!!where!!! the hell is the General when you need some entertainment???? Decker 1 of the 1788
  11. Ford promised.... UAW negotiations..... "us against, them"... has already begun. We at CAP could not see any benefit to a tier 2 workforce or a MOA, we saw through the promises in the recent past and our members listened to the threats of the last negotiations. Then we see the CAW with their smaller numbers fight for and negotiate an agreement that reimburses their members for their labor, with such points of interest during their negotiations as high productivitiy, quality levels second to none and stating that labor costs are a meer 8% of the total cost of each unit and not a focal point to save or help the company survive. Great points of interest when sitting at the table with Ford and the rest. If I remember right, (being wrong has happened, as you have pointed out) the last negotiations stated FRAP would be used for overflow product production when sales exceeded Mexico`s capacity. Now the overflow of Taurus from CAP when sales of Explorer exceeds capacity. Movement of MKS to FRAP to allow for increased capacity of Explorer at CAP. Then the pormise of other low sales units. Did anywhere in the contract state AAI or FRAP would be the sole producer of any product other than the Mustang? (the Home Of ???) Sounds like FRAP may be secure with being an overflow plant. Are the bricks of the next negotiation being layed? Do any tier 1 members really think their wages and benefits are secure? Maybe the IUAW could reopen the contract now that the profits are flowing from the day after the negotiations were final...... Good luck, trailfinder. Decker 1 of the 1788
  12. CAP processed 147 CD4.1 platforms, Feb. through April of this year. The measuring of our systems was completed and we coated all the units in electro coat, prime and color. One thing of interest is the key information in the article (I know.. "information" and the freepress???) Flat Rock, Chicago, Oakville and Ontario will be building this platform. It does not refer to the plans of multiple platforms? CAP is gearing up for just that. "A couple years" is referenced.... hmmm.... what else will be in play in a coulpe years? Be or get prepared for the "them against us" being played to the max...... The one issue that will be thrown at Chicago, Oakville and Ontario is that Flat Rock`s Local leadership has met with open arms the MOA. What else will be given up, just to keep these promises? :shades: All in all, good news for Flat Rocker`s.... Moving product, from plant to plant? I can hear Jimmy and Bob now. Decker 1 of the 1788
  13. uaw12, we enjoyed having you here. I can not confirm nor deny the condition of the members that were in the altercation. If in fact the tools that were alledged to be used in the altercation then yes great bodily harm could have been had. I did not see the photo but, there are members (respectable in my opinion) that state they have seen a photo. The photo that I have not seen, was discribed as showing a member with major trama to his face. Who actually took or sent the photo is once again unknown to myself. One fact, is the timing of the incident put the C crew at work during the time. This fact would put the C crew Rep`s in service to the membership at that point in time. The two members involved are on the C crew. At any point that two men have a discussion with no other witness to the discussion, then any report of the discussion by anyone other than the two men involved, would be hear say. Unless at the point, one of the two men makes a statement about the discussion that the other disagees with then the statement may become a point of interset to any investigation proceedings. If in deed the Unit spoke with the Alternate Rep. they would be the only ones aware of the discussion. Unless, one of the two parties to the disscussion has stated it happened in reference to some form of investigation. I have no knowledge of any discussion nor do I have any knowledge of any investigation. I can not confirm nor deny the "story" is made up or ture. On a more non legal level, yes CAP is in a totally stressed state of affaires. The machinery is at a point of continous break down. The Salaried workforce is in a continous state of flux. The UAW members yes, are in complete in disarray.... do they have to work 11.5....can members be denied their regular day off?...how do they get off the C crew....respect??? for whom?by whom?... a local union parking lot once again being allowed to be the south side after hours distribution center( smile, for the CPD cameras)....members being voted into office because of the old school "he/she is what you need"....members realizing just how easy it is to be fooled..... I`ve heard it stated many times in this way, I guess some of the sheep took their face out of the ass of the sheep ahead of them, just in time to see the cliff... just long enough to cause all the stress before falling off. Really, come on really... CAP members have been at this point before. But, there is one differents, the mind set of the disposable (tier 2) work force is completely different from that of the membership of a few years back. All in all, a very sad day in CAP history. Once Agian...... Decker 1 of the 1788
  14. They have been doing construction on 130th and at one point east bound was closed then another west bound. But, its better now, not done but better. Yep, the walk is even more pleasent when the escalators aren`t working... Decker 1 of the 1788
  15. It is greener, and a management team that cares.... I just wonder how long all that peace and thoughtfulness will be in place now that the Mazda`s input is gone? AAI`s local? you didn`t speak of it? helpful and caring also? With all that thoughtfulness and caring, sounds like a place I might consider driving to..., from Chicago, daily..... But, you gave it up to cut down on an hours drive? At CAP you can spend an hour just waiting to get into the parking lot. Decker 1 of the 1788
  16. For those members considering packing up and heading to FRAP....other than those tranfered from Michigan members (going home is always a good thing)... Remember... you can click your heels together all you want and say there`s no place like CAP..over and over.... But, you`ll still be at a plant that has a very different way of doing business compared to.... there`s no place like home....CAP. Can you imagine the culture shock, no classifications. Well two (yep, TWO) Loaned out at anytime the need comes up.... It`s been said how bad CAP is (by me too) but just remember FRAP sold their souls for the MOA that is way ahead of anything the average CAP`er can even imagine. Then there is the so called time table? Really? March of next year? :hysterical2: Oh, then the money issues? Oh sure you`ll get 60k or 80k to go.... :hysterical2: Lump sum :hysterical2: You guys are killin me :hysterical2: the grass is so much greener on the other side of the lake and they care so much more for the UAW members in the land of Ford :hysterical2: Good Luck hope things work out for the best...... :shades: Rumors??? or Crazy Talk??? hard to tell the difference here lately Decker 1 of the 1788
  17. Sorry to be the one that brings this information to you tier 2 members but, you will never see tier 1 rate of pay or benefits. The 80/20 cap will never be reached. The movement at CAP, LTS to Entry Level, was more or less because so many tier 2 members are being released. We have members that have so many AWOL`s and reporting late to their shifts that they are now starting to discharge tier 2 members. It is good news that the company and local agreed to move members to the entry level from LTS. But, we will lose almost the same number moved to entry level as will be lost. As for the 80/20 cap..... It will never be reached. Neither Ford or the IUAW stated it would happen, all they stated was what would happen if it did. Ford reported at a press release back almost 2 years ago, so many different numbers when it came to the 20% cap that even the CFO stated it would not be reached through the life of the contract. Remeber one thing this cap of 20% is company wide. Not at CAP,MAP,DTP or KCAP etc..... We here at CAP will see tier 1 numbers fall even further when the move of the 5% or so members go to FRAP to follow the MKS. Stop and think, about 1400 tier 1 members at present.(give or take) About 250 members heading to FRAP. At what precentage are the 1150 or so tier 1 (left behind) to the 3000 tier 2 members. Who is keeping track of the tier 2 numbers? Who heard the IUAW state that there would no longer be LTS or SuperLTS members? Are there plants that have got the blessing of the IUAW to be 100% tier 2? Is CAP becoming one of those blessed plant? Goongala, you along with all the tier 2 members got your "bump" when you were hired in to this misunderstood, lied about and totally shitty trip to the second class work force. If this is any comfort young brother tier 1 is not far behind you.... Bump to Traditional??? What you don`t realize your tier is the future and will be referred to as traditional in less time then you know. Tier 2 memebrs will never see the choice of 30 and out..... Decker 1 of the 1788
  18. At this point in time, CAP will be sending the MKS to Flat Rock (could be, maybe, possible) and the Taurus is still up in the air.(got to check with the directors,,,) Next month we might see the survey`s start. Look out Flat Rock if your lucky you`ll be getting Michigan people back..... if not... you guys could be getting some really special members heading your way. We have over 4 thousand on the rolls and there isn`t a day that goes by where dam near every department is short. We start doing the tagging thing Oct. 1st...in Final... Been taggin in Paint and Body for some time now and really... more days than not we can`t, due to manpower. But its getting better. Taggin that is. Then we have the out cry from our decision makers... way to much O...T...!!!!! You guys can not be getting all this overtime!!!! (shhh, would you come in Sunday, shhh) Ok? One question, when will the repairs just slow down? Not quit, just slow down? Lets see... we have... miss builds, parts shortages, parts with issues, training issues, 3 crew problems, venders told a different spec at each meeting, equipment that does not like to be doing its thing 24 hours a day and the best group of managers that came in the door, two minutes ago..... OT? we don`t need NO, STINKIN !!!OT!!! And so goes the most beautiful spot in the universe CAP. Ahhh Yessss fall in the city, a wonderfull thing. Now you haters can talk shit about Ford and the IUAW----> :banmolest: .<----these guys are always lookin out for ya.....but stay the Hell away from any shit talk about my CUBBIES (wait till next year) and the BIGMAN`s DONUTS!!!!. :shades: Decker 1 of the 1788
  19. Rumors, rumors, rumors..... on any given day there are rumors about rumors Some good news coming out of CAP!!!! We have a move in process!!! No!!! not the Taurus, not yet. Our sisters and brother that hired in 8 months ago will have their hire in date, become their "seniority date"!!! Yes you heard right and no BS rumor to it. Our LTS members have officially become ENTRY LEVEL!!!! To our 300 plus LTS members this is great news. I applaud our local leadership for making this happen. I have a proven and out spoken resistance to the two tier shit, unfortunately it...is...what...it....f`in is. Welcome aboard Seniority Building Members!!!!! Go easy haters..... Decker 1 of the 1788
  20. Made a name for himself in the business world like no one else in the resent past. Can work ANYWHERE he would like. And has Fields taking the bags and bags,,,bags of cash to his plane.... Ahhh, isn`t life grand. Thanks Mr. Mulally for kicking Ford into high gear....... hope there isn`t any verbal agreement with Bob or Jimmy before he leaves???? :shades: Decker 1 of the 1788
  21. Remember the formula? Remember the promises? Remember? The 2nd tier members would only be 2nd tier till their level reached 20%. These entry level members had hope, given to them by Ford and the IUAW. One day they to would become first tier members "when" their total numbers reached the mystical number of 20%. Remember? When questioned both the IUAW Rep`s and Ford (kinda) explained that with all the projected work coming to the plants the total number of entry level members would reach the mystical 20% in short time. Remember? When questioned, sometimes multiple times, how this transition would work? The IUAW Rep`s looked at each other and came up with this responce. "One for One".... When the entry level members total numbers reached yep, the mystical 20%, at that point every entry level member brought in would then push one 2nd tier member into the 1st tier. Remember? Does anyone remember the statements about LTS or TPT or STPT members? Remember how all these labels that made members as second class, none seniority building and no or low range benefits members was going away as soon as the new contract was ratified? Remember? If you do then give this a thought. The 4000 CAW members might not be replaced at all.... not with 2nd tier members nope. This would push the total number of enetry level members if not close to but, possibilly over the mystical 20%.... Now I can`t speak for any other plant but here at CAP a really weird thing is accuring??? Yes, CAP is hiring LTS members? Unbelievable? no not really. Stop and think, we have had many issues in the last few contracts "clarified" well after ratification.... How would Ford get the help from the IUAW to keep labor costs competitive? Maybe the mystical 20% was agreed on and also agreed to never reach it? This would give Ford their help and the IUAW would get more members. At redused dues rates but, more members just the same..... Remember the financial meeting Ford had with banks and investors? The mystical 20% was questioned by more than one member of the meeting. The answers were very creative. Ford`s CFO but it like this.... we will hire 6,7, or 5 thousand employee`s and then he restated Ford would be.... HIRING a lot of people...then stating we are going to be creating a lot of jobs.... One Chase representitive stated " What about the trend to top tier jobs?" No answer was given.... remember? With this said, I can only hope that our CAW sisters and brothers can hang tough. Please.. Remember.... it really isn`t the UAW members against CAW members. No. it is about selling labor by one orgainization and buying services by another orgainization. Good Luck CAW Decker 1 of the 1788
