Yeah too little car for too much money. The Mini was able to get away with this sales strategy because it's a sporty little car but the Fiat not so much so. Even Consumer Reports commented on the price in their review: Perhaps Fiat should have stuck a toe in the water before jumping in.

Thank you for your support and sincere take on the facts. I like to speak my mind and that really honks off some people. Honestly I do like Ford products, and would give the same advice to anyone looking at a newly redesigned vehicle over an established model. Hell my 2005 Tacoma had some quality issues because it was the 1st year of a redesign. Also one thing I forgot to note was that they are planning on moving Fusion production from that Mexico plant to one up here in the states. So in essence, the 2013 Fusion may be a totally different car. Who knows, maybe the new version's quality is as high or higher than the current one. Or maybe it's n...

Actually you are probably better off getting the current model. Fusions are really nice cars, OK I'm a little bias on that, and are in the last year of the current version. That means they've worked all the bugs out of them, except maybe for SYNC that is Microsoft anyway. And the current version is noted for its outstanding build quality and reliability. If you would have gotten a 2013 it would have been a totally different car; new engines, frame, body, ect... Which means the new car could end up being a total train wreck. Why take the chance? Happy to hear you got the V6, you can't get AWD without it. My only real criticism of this car was the 2.5L I4 is a little underpowered, and Ford flooded the market with them earlier this year to make up for the shortage of the HYBRID's. Just a warning, be ready for a 1 1/2 - 2 MONTH wait minimum for your car to get here. Getting a nice virgin car that hasn't been sitting on a lot or test drove by a dozen people is the only way to buy, IMO, but the price you pay is the wait. Take it from the guy that waited 4 MONTHS to get his, but in the end it was worth it.

RawisTheGameHhH I have no idea if we have the latest version but do know it can be updated through the USB. I'd check with the dealer if you want the latest version, at you first service interval. I can tell you that once they rebooted my SYNC it has run good, voice commands actually work better than expected. Stang65 you might want to also check out the Tri-coat white I have on my car, there is a photo attached in this thread. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. The stereo is alright, although you have turn up the Bass a little to get good sound out of it IMO. SYNC is nice too, when it's not being buggy. Overall I love my car and actually would say it was worth the wait. :happy feet: You are right about the time frame though, they're going to stop making this version of the Fusion sometime next spring. Taste is an individual thing, so test drive one and see if you like it.

As someone in this shrinking market, let me tell you my opinion on the choices: F150 - Put simply, too big and expensive. Some might upgrade to an aircraft carrier but most like me will probably just look elsewhere Tacoma - Own one and would definitely buy another Frontier - Would definitely consider, looked at them when I bought the Taco Dakota - Sorry I need something that runs. Most Dodge products have been sub-par for years Colorado - When you take the cheapest parts available and put them together badly you get a GM. I'll pass Ford can make a good product when they want to and I like the look of the truck in this thread. If they are already going to sell it oversees then the cost to bring it over here shouldn't be that high, at least compared to a full redesign. Further if it is going to be built then there is obviously a factory somewhere that can handle it. As I've said in many threads here, Ford is making a mistake surrendering this market. The belief that people that need a small truck will "upgrade" to a full sized pickup is broken logic, at best. Way more likely, customers like me will give my business to the manufacture that makes the product I want.

In 5 years when I go to replace my truck, a Tacoma, I'll probably skip Ford if they aren't offering a small truck like the Ranger. Simple fact of the matter is that I'm a member of the market segment Ford is turning their backs on. I need a small to midsized 4X4 truck that can handle some hauling and towing chores. A F150 is way too big, and expensive, for my needs. :titanic: Not bringing the redesigned "Global Ranger" to the US market is a mistake. Hopefully Ford will rectify this in the future before I'm ready to go truck shopping again. If not, well Toyota will have the redesigned Tacoma out by then and I'm sure Nissan will have something competitive too.

Don't have a clue. The vast majority of the research I did on the Fusion focused on the 3.5L motor that uses a totally different transmission. If no one gives you an answer on this you might want to jump over to the Fusion forum as there is probably more info over there. http://www.fordfusionforum.com/ The issue may or may not have been fixed. If it is still a concern they I'd suggest you try to find yourself a used 2011 or a used 2010 SPORT, as this model uses the 3.5L V6 I was referring to above. Either way the answers you are looking for are probably either on this forum or the Fusion specific one. Good luck and I hope you find something good.

Very nice. Sync takes a while to get used to and can be a little buggy, it's Microsoft after all. Hopefully you guys won't have any of the issues I'm dealing with right now. With any luck the dealer should be able to ctlr+alt+del it for me tomorrow. Enjoy your new car. The wait is over and we can now all drive our new rides in style.

Well look at the pros and cons: Pros: - The powertrain is under warranty for 5 years or 60,000 miles - Other than the tranny, these cars are known to be dependable - Buying used should cost less than new, 2011 or 2012 Cons: - You've only got 28,000 left on that warranty and might find yourself out of a car for a while even if the repair is paid for - A tranny repair out of warranty can cost some serious $$$ - The money saved by buying used might end up being blown on repairs if the tranny goes out of warranty Before you jump on the used bandwagon you might want to look into buying a new one. Most Ford dealers will give you a good deal on a new vehicle and there are a lot of factory to customer incentives that Ford offers, think it's about $2000 right now. Also the interest rate on a new car might be lower than used. If you can afford a 2010 SEL maybe you can afford a new SE or SEL too. People can, and probably will, offer you advice on this but at the end of the day it's your call. Fusions are awesome cars, just bought a 2012 SPORT myself, but tranny issues are nothing to take likely. Personally, I wouldn't take the chance.

Nice. Blue was my second choice, looks sharp. The blue accents on the interior look nice too, when you get the blue exterior of course. Disregard my tip on Sync. My music plays now but voice commands are out. The system either needs reset or there is something wrong. Either way, you shouldn't have the issues I'm having now. Also don't buy the cargo net for the truck, the kit I ordered didn't work because the hook threads were too large. Dealer is looking into an adapter but it's unlikely there is one. Ford isn't exactly wowing me with these quality issues, but thankfully they can be fixed through the dealership in one way or the other. Just out of curiosity, how many miles did your car have on it upon delivery? Mine already had 26 on the odometer when it reached the dealership...

Very nice. You got blue, and from the NAV picture, I'd say matching blue inserts. She's a beauty, enjoy. :shades: Oh yeah one tip, if you go to plug in a USB with MP3 songs on it and it gives you an error message just plug it in again. Mine was giving me an error message about not being able to play protected content, none of my songs are protected, from the device. It took several tries to get it to work, then again Sync is made by Microsucks! :lol:

Your ETA is the 23rd, right? Go off of that date and ignore any of the BS your dealer tells you, unless you like having smoke blown up your butt. :blah: My car arrived on the 18th, took delivery the next day on its ETA date. That ETA is apparently the only date Ford seems interested in keeping, well until they push it back. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, with any luck it's at your dealer on Monday on time.

GOOD QUESTION! It doesn't look like I'm going to win the battle over the passenger side seat either, called the dealer and he said it only comes with the Comfort Package (Option group 402A for us). Checked the 2012 Ford Fusion Order Guide and confirmed this. Now this feature shows up standard on their website it you run through the "Build & Price" utility. When it asks for you to select an option package (400a, 401a, or 402a) there is a link that says "See the details", and it's under "Standard Features" there. It also shows up if you jump to the end and print the summary, again under "Standard Features". I'm going to discuss this further with my dealer, and probably will call Ford Customer Service to complain too. However I doubt I'll get anything out of it other than some useless lip service, sorry to sound so pessimistic but Ford hasn't done anything in my situation so far to show they care about their customers. In the end, they'll write it off as another typo like the one on our window stickers about the EPAS, checked my car and I've got the hydraulic steering. See now while I was sooo pissed, still am really. Still absolutely love the car though. Just picked up some supplies from the auto store, going to shine up her tires and wheels today for the weekend. Good times ahead...

Sorry I didn't get NAV with mine. You'll just have to wait until yours comes in, then you can see it, touch it, and smell it. New car smell makes everything nice. :shades:

Also make sure you go over you cars carefully once you get them home, or at the dealership. After getting my car home, I went to adjust the passenger side front seat and found everything to be manual. That didn't seem right to me so I went back to the Ford website and found for the SPORT model the following are listed as "Standard Features": - 10-way power drivers seat and 4-way power passengers seat - Power driver lumbar/passenger recline So after my long wait the factory managed to screw up my order. I'm going to address this with my dealer tomorrow and Ford should make this right. Absolutely love the car, hate the buying experience despite getting a killer deal.

This experience has been a bit of a nightmare , but I should have my car this week. :happy feet: Still rather disgusted with Ford, and now my salesman. I'm sure I'll love this car, heavily researched, but will remember this experience when buying my next new vehicle. Suppose Ford could do something to make this right, like throw in an extended warranty, but would really be surprised if they care enough to go that far. Hang in there dude, hopefully we'll both be able to enjoy our cars a little before the snow gets here.

Well thanks to cyberdman, I was able to confirm that my dealer had been lying to me the last couple of weeks. :busted: Apparently rather then tell me the truth, he thought a nice story about railcar troubles and dealer reps would placate me. Instead it only pissed me off even more. What part, if any, my dealer played in this delay is up in the air. Yet a MONTH from the time my car was finished until I'm due to take delivery absolute BS!!! :beatdeadhorse: Dude I sincerely hope you get your car on the 23rd, but the biggest thing I've learned from all of this is how these ETA's keep getting pushed back. Hopefully I'm just the exception to the rule, one of the rare horror stories of outrageous order delays. Just try to contain your excitement until the day your car actually arrives, otherwise this process turns into a living hell. :tequila: Oh and when your car does come in don't forget to post a photo, I plan to.

Well I'm not looking to buy a new truck until the Fusion is paid off, 5 years down the road. My current truck, a Tacoma, will still be running strong then and I should be able to get some $$$ out of it for a down payment. Ford is making a BIG mistake by backing out of the small-midsized truck market, as buyers like me pretty much end up going with the Japanese makes. 5 years is a long time and maybe by then the Ford execs would have learned the lesson. I've owned two F-150's and liked them, but don't really want another aircraft carrier. :titanic: Oh and I agree that the Fusion is worth the wait, or I would have walked a long time ago. Just got to fight the temptation to discuss it anymore with my salesman, that wouldn't go well at this point.
