Was told this weekend that a new engine is going in at Romeo. Of course I take this all as just rumour and speculation, but has anyone heard anything?

Thanks. We are looking forward to going even though it is hard to leave everyone we know. I'm hoping the schools are as good as we have been hearing because the school my kids are in now is really lacking especially for special needs children.

My husband was also ILOd from Romeo with 2000 seniority, but we are going to Louisville. We just didn't feel there was going to be any kind of future at Romeo any more.

Do those on ilo get the 250 bonus?

I hope that is right. My husband was laid off at the same time but we have been told so many conflicting things. Do you know where in the contract it says your are still on active rolls for 90 days?

We are in the same boat. It is doubly frustrating knowing that they put GM ahead of the Ford contract too. If they had focused on Ford first maybe they would have been done before the layoff. Who knows.

Forgive my ignorance where, but when they do eventually pass a contract, do they backdate it for when the current contract expired? if so, if the effective date of the agreement is backdated to when our current contract expired, would that mean that anyone still employed on that date would be considered active?

I don't remember him being offered DTP, but I'll have to ask him to verify. (Sorry if I gave the wrong impression. It is my husband who works at Ford, not me. I hope that is not against the posting rules)

We were offered Chicago and LAP neither of which are working yet. We also didn't know we would be laid off before going. All I'm saying is people are telling us it is our fault since we turned down going to places with work, but that isn't true.

So question, if we are in michigan and have signed up months ago to go to LAP and were just laid off this week, what exactly when exactly were we supposed to move and what else could we have signed up for?
