  1. Temps shouldn't be allowed to file grievances. This is a crock of shit.
  2. People working 80 hours in one plant shouldn't get more then people working 40 hours in another plant. You worked the OT and got paid. Many are not in that position and are limited to only 40 hrs a week. Profit sharing should be split between all workers fairly. This idea that you were "determined" and sat on your hi-lo 20 hours more per week then the line worker is a crock of shit.
  3. Trade in the grievance to bring workers back to work, the hell with the money, it isn't much anyway, maybe 85.00 for each worker.
  4. GM Still owes the Government money for the bail outs, and while they made 7 billion in profits will they finally pay us off? Workers are said to get a 7,000 profit sharing check. Ford will of course report more profits then 7 billion so does that mean we get more profit sharing? Answer is a BIG NO you all voted for profit sharing caps when you voted yes in the new contract, so don't complain when your check is 2600. Ford's UAW team should be holding a vote to re-open the contract and give us more of the fair share of the 1% pie.

  6. remember you all voted yes on the contract cause you thought it was a good one, now you want the world handed to you again but it's too late. You let the UAW intimidate you into voting yes (you lost money) You let the UAW lie to you because it would create more jobs (you lost jobs) You let the UAW make the rules as they go along (you're sphincter got plugged) The only way to make everything fair between the company and workers is to open up the contract and re-negotiate more money for the workers. Remember people you are the 99% the company and the UAW leadership took the last piece of the pie on you and you allowed it. Profit sharing will be capped because the UAW thought it was in the best interest of the company. If you feel that you deserve a piece of the 1% then get a lawyer and a petition and go to work.

Not only that but change the election laws. Elections should be held for regionals and UAW president from now on. Send all the desk huggers back to the floor or make them retire. Ahh it's no use anyway if they had to go back to the floor to work they would just take all the hi-lo jobs and still not have to do any real labor. I agree tho, the chairpersons,bargaining committees,and local presidents are not doing anything for people, even people terminated or people constantly being harassed by the company!. It only takes a group of people to go on Fox 2 news remember that, so don't be afraid to voice your issues!

First of all I am not this "chucky" you all speak about so nice try. 2nd of all, I've been in many union situations with members (employees) that have been terminated at dtp and I can tell you that many times the rights of those members are violated without the employee even knowing about it. The company gets away with putting members out the door for years at a time t justify a bottom line. I am upset how we conduct our hearings for employees with no real representation involved. Members deserve much better.
  14. It appears Su-FI is out of touch with reality. First of all you can't terminate someone currently on Medical. 2nd, the employee always showed up and worked. So your answer SU-FI to going to work on every one of the questions shows you either can't read the original post, or you're some kind of ass monkey that likes to blame the workers just because you have an all day long sit down job. My questions in the original post were posted to get some real intelligent answers, I guess you should go back to school.
  15. Is it right for employees to be terminated for bogus charges brought by supervisors that lie on the floor just to get someone they don't like terminated? Is it right for employees to be out for any length of time when they don't have an attendance record or disciplinary on their record? For yelling at your supervisor should an employee be terminated when this happens in every plant and other employees are not terminated? Is it right for Local 600 to push 2nd stage termination grievances under the rug for long periods of time without some accountability to the person that has to feed his family? Is it right for the company to terminate an employee while on medical leave issued by a doctor? Is it right that company harassment can take place on an employee and then terminate that employee for filing a complaint of harassment? Is it right that the company terminates an employee illegally then takes away that employee's healthcare? I believe they should still pay for it while under union contract.
  16. If the guy came up to you in a threatening manner (doesn't matter if he hits you), that is both unprofessional and unacceptable behavior that shouldn't be tolerated within the work place. Unfortunately the no tolerance policy only works to the employer's benefit and not the employee (against the company) unless your female. Think of you doing this to a female and see how fast your ass would be out the door. (terminated in fact) or without warning given or "time off progression" like so many workers get screwed on and the UAW lets the company get away with it, so it then becomes "he said, he said" at that point, and HR will not do a thing for you unless you are a female worker or unless you actually have your witnesses sign a statement of facts sheet you can obtain in your local union office. Anytime a male worker brings a complaint against another male worker the complaint is taken lightly and thrown in the garbage, so my advice to you if you really want to throw a monkey wrench in their "no action, no investigation" process and see them all scatter across the floor like roaches, file for a TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) at your local courthouse or police department in the city you work in against the Chairman and have it served on him at work in front of his little devils in the union office, and also given to HR. This will bring attention to the situation big time and they will be forced to properly investigate it and most likely give the chairman 30 days off. Nobody does their jobs anymore, and there is no accountability unless a female is in the mix. I bet if you file for a restraining order against the chairman, the union will offer you the sky, to try and get you to drop it!. lol *hell they may even offer you overtime! Also beware that your job will indeed be messed with, they will come up with any story in the world they can think of to mess with your parts, or to sabotage your work station somehow. They will claim that they have a witness that you did (whatever they plan on doing to your workstation) to blame you for either bad parts going out, or for putting wrong parts on. They will even try and claim that they have bad parts at another station to prove you screwed up. Always make sure they provide you with part numbers, photos of the mistakes, time and dates etc etc so they can't terminate you for sabotage. There is more then one way to skin a cat also, remember that.. Find out where he lives and when he leaves for work, have someone drop a letter in his mail box so his wife gets it. You can make the letter sound like it's some crazed girlfriend at work upset at him. ahahahaha
