Nope, that's not it. My wife used the car last night and mft read my messages this morning. I did have to change over to connect to my phone even though I have it saved as "favorite".

For some reason, I do have to delete my phone and re-pair because it stops reading texts. I think it has something to do with my wife taking the car and using her phone through mft and it doesn't retain the map settings when i get back in. I dunno.

I found out how to keep sync connected to this function, I'm a little slow with this stuff. When I started the car the phone had notifications for MAP and contacts. Before choosing allow, I checked the boxes that said "don't ask me again". This makes it automatically allow every time I start the car. Sync only allows me to send the pre-canned messages back, but that's okay. I hope my fumbling around on this forum helps someone else get things working.

Thanks for the ideas. I did get closer last night, but the system went back to my phone doesn't do bt messaging. I deleted the phone and un-paired. When I added the phone back in I got the prompt to allow MAP. When I finished I asked to read messages and sync said I had no new messages. This morning the system didn't retain the settings, so I'll have to keep looking for that elusive setting. I may try to unpair phone and see if there are more options?

I have a new galaxy note ll. Does anybody know which settings I need to have to make this work? I am running the latest 3.6 version on MFT. Thank you.

Standard time changed automatically last fall, but it has not changed back to daylight time yet. The only difference is Sirius expired and the new 3.5 update has been installed.

This reminds me of when the deck lid had to be modified so the rectangular camera hole wouldn't accept the camera installed upside down or turned 90 degrees.

So far, no problems with 3.5.....knocking on wood.

I never got the version 3.2. I jumped from 3.0.1 to 3.5.1. I need to start playing with music and other features, (maybe I'll get the kids to plug in the i-pod). I do notice my phone does not automatically connect sometimes with the latest update.

Thank you for the reply....things are clearing up. How does Sync know where I'm at to give me turn by turn? Does that go through satellite too?

My trial subscription to Sirius will expire in December on my 2013 Explorer. Other than losing the radio stations, I'm trying to figure out features associated with Sync services that will stay and which ones will not. I think turn by turn directions will be gone because there is no link to satellite, but I'm not sure. The fuel prices I looked up today may not be available when Sirius is gone? I'm very new to this, so can anyone help me understand which services drive which systems and features? Otherwise, I'll find out the hard way next month. Thanks

Hello Fordtech1, Do you know how I can get the updated SD card and look at the TSB?

MFT froze up on me early this morning, 2am, as I was leaving work. I have less than 10 minutes to get home, so I really missed using my heated seats as it was 24 degrees. This morning I started and moved the 2013 Explorer to the front of my driveway to unload a few things, shut it down, and then an hour later went down the street for about a mile to pick up a couple of things. When I left the store, the rear view camera was operating normally and the whole system seemed to be operating normally again. Has anyone heard of this condition where the system resets after 3 or 4 on/off cycles?

People communicating with their cell phones has been a good thing for saving time on the plant floor. The bosses even use them to get messages across. I even joked that Ford should pick up the cell phone bill. Safety talks recently have been about not walking and texting, and stepping off the floor while using the phone.

If there is an upgrade or revision, how do customers find out? I have a 2013 explorer with mft. I don't know how this line got in here.

I was looking through some of the threads on this site last week concerning my auto temp control on my new 2013 explorer. After reading this thread, I realize I may have an issue with my ford touch. Sometimes my atc will turn itself on when I start the vehicle even though it was off when the vehicle was last turned off. Has anyone heard of this condition?
