My dealer told me they don't have the parts as well. They said when the parts do arrive they are going to send my car to an apolster company in town that would take care of it better than they would.
I received a letter about those two and a third:
ID: 14C03
It may be possible that he front driver and/or passenger seatback assemblies were produced with sub-standard welds. A sub-standard weld joint may separate and result in noise in the seatback or a loose or leaning seatback. Also, sub-standard welds may not meet the requirements of FMVSS 207, potentially increasing the risk of injury in certain crashes. Ford has authorized your dealer to replace the affected seatback assembly or assemblies.
Well no issues downloading, installing or submitting the install to Ford. It seems like with the update the pairing process of my cell phone and indexing of my usb drive are quicker.
I noticed the same thing on my driver's front wheel. There are four almost exact marks about four inches or so long around the wheel. I thought my wife hit a curb but there are no marks on the rear wheel. She used one of the older car washes where only the driver side front wheel gets locked into place. Mystery solved.
My dealer checked my Escape at 1000 miles, didn't change oil or anything, just a check on fluids, tires, etc at no cost. Then I had them complete a 5000 mile maintenance which was pretty much an oil change and tire rotation.
You do not have to press the brake pedal when you use the remote start. When you enter the vehicle you only have to push the start button. I do this all the time.
