  1. If I recall correctly, its not a gauge layout listed in the manual. I just "happened" upon it.
  2. So you can no longer show the Tac in Inst Fuel mode anymore? Hmmmm, why in the heck did they delete that function? Thats what I keep mine on. Inst with fuel and tac. Guess Ill wait longer to get the "upgrade". That cheeses me off; don't REMOVE functionality on an update. Software 101.
  3. That is a very broken process. And if the 'gubberment' is also involved...oi...what a soup of chaos...
  4. How will that help him get a headliner in correctly? Several other people on this board have had headliners installed WITHOUT removing the windshield. Just because its done at the factory doesn't mean that's "how" it needs to be done. There is a lot of thought put into how fast a car can be built. Given that the dealer cannot do it right in any manner and he has other issues with this place (scratched rims and so forth) would you let them pull a windshield when they have been proven incompetent to perform service on the vehicle? If I was Ford I would send a rep to this dealer to see wtf is going on.
  5. Do manufacturers have any punishment they can level at a dealer other than pulling selling rights? Seems like if you are trying to get your name and quality up and you have dealers that continue to provide bologna excuses, poor trouble shooting and over all lacking customer service; they should be allowed to do something. To get through some dealers rigamarole to get things done is just lunacy. Luckily I live in an area where there are more than one service center I can choose from to do my work. Others in smaller towns don't get that luxury and it becomes a double edge sword for Ford. They discipline the dealer and could lose out on sales and visibility in that area.
  6. Hopefully Tesla might be able to challenge some of that. However I am not sure if thats good or not for us as consumers. On the surface it seems better....
  7. Also one cup holder lit while the other isnt would set off my OCD beyond belief. The Titanium only has one for the bin behind the shifter and it looks fine. I looked at them the other day and found that the ones in the footwells are like LED attached to banana shaped diffusers to spread out the light. Kind of interesting. One hour install time seems to be a bit of a pipe dreams to pop open all of those panels, Nicely route the wiring and then put back.
  8. LOL...Given my profession I am surprised I have never heard of PEBCAK...but it is now part of my vocabulary!
  9. Quite possible. I would like to see our Southern owners chirp in on that. I am in Ohio...I don't consider that hot really compared to Arizona, Texas, etc...
  10. I would take a hard shift (minus any banging) versus the extra flare. However over the last week mine has been driving beautifully; zero changes. Got me... *shrug*
  11. Nope. Nothing of real interest (I have a Titanium with Navi) to me to take that huge a hit on equity. It was hard enough for me to find it equipped the way I wanted it (Read: No driver nannies). Plus once a car gets sorted out for me I don't want to muck with fate in any fashion.
  12. Not likely. You can ask but most likely you are going to hear what you read on this thread and you might get charged depending on the dealer.
  13. Guys, this isn't a "fix" issue. Mold grows and you have to kill the mold. My Maxima did it, my buddy is having issues with his 2013 Equinox, my Sonata does it. You have to get at the condenser and clean it. That is the only real "fix". There are things you can to do to reduce it, but once it starts you need kill the mold and clean the condenser.
  14. A lot of your issues seem to stem from how your shop operates and the repairs done to it. Axles, clutch, damaged wheels all are related to the shop; not build quality. However I feel your pain and you need to find another dealer that does not require a stop/inspect/come back tomorrow process.
  15. Mine takes a couple moments to blow cooler air. If I am moving and kick it on, it comes on faster. If I am sitting waiting for something like the wife to remember that she forgot something for the umpteenth time and kick it on, it takes probalby 20+ seconds to blow cool.
  16. What is killing me is they have to petition to get parts in and covered by warranty or they (dealer) eat the cost of the headliner. If they are constantly asking for more headliners why has that not raised flags at Ford? Dealers like this can tank a brand...
  17. I have had sunroofs in my cars from many brands (Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai) since 1995. Every once in a while you see items such as this thread but it was an easy fix wasnt it? To be all paranoid over one instance is a little obsurd.
  18. Obviously I would not sell the car over a dealer being scummy. Otherwise no way we would as a collective group be able to buy cars! I am fortunate enough to have 4-5 dealers within 20 mile radius of me so I can easily say go find another dealer. Depending on the cost of the maint plan you might want to see if you can find another dealer worth working with and if the dollars and cents is worth your mental anguish.
  19. To find the strategy code, I dont believe there is any non-programmer interface that allows that information to be visible.
  20. I dont know if you are like me but I had the same problem and it was frustrating and found my issue...me. LOL! I "fiddle" with the switches when they are closed or open (push switch down if open, pull it up if closed) and figured out I was somehow wiping out the memory. Once I stopped doing that my problem magically disappeared. LOL! Gotta love the loose screw between the seat and the controls sometimes....
  21. That picture is kinda skewed. In the first one its either on jacks in the back somehow or its photo shopped. Tucked is a trend like neons were when I was more youthful. Its not a stance I prefer but its also not my car. You have to mod it your way to make you happy. I would like to put coilovers on it however making a ride more stiff also introduces more opportunity for rattles to develop.
