  1. Well, its getting worse. Almost to the point I can create on demand and hopefully will have something to show someone. And on top of that, today my airbag light goes off again. *sigh*
  2. In Ohio, that qualifies for Lemon Law. 30 days of shop time. It does not matter if they had parts or not. If the car was in their possession and not yours, it qualifies. Make me wonder why they didn't give it back to you until parts showed?
  3. Those seals have a sticky spot on them to help adhere to the body. The front seal on the hood does and its easier to look at. Wonder if thats your source (the sticky spots)?
  4. That would terrorize me daily. I work in a place where I can park out in the back 40 and not worry about dings, bird poo or what have you. Gravel every day; no way man!
  5. Heh...for me that's "just a wash". But then again, with my OCD I am a small diamond producer. Looks sharp.
  6. Or completely brain washed by the iGenius folks.... :happy feet:
  7. Why do people want it to be an iwhatever? I personally don't want my car to behave in any manner like an iwhatever. I am glad they are not on board.
  8. Please keep us updated. And hopefully they have good news for you other than "not able to replicate"
  9. I would be in seventh heaven if that would happen! It would be worth the coin to me up front to get a brand new one too! Row your own FOREVER! :banvictory: However I agree with Mineral...with all the sensors, ECU"s and gizmos attached to the slushbox; highly doubt-able. But we can dream can't we?
  10. Talked to a friend of mine that has a 13 Escape Titanium AWD (roughly 3500 miles). His also does this as well. To me that lends to a programming issue as I don't think the AWD trans and my FWD trans are the same mechanically. He also experiences a hesitation from 10-25 MPH in stop and go type traffic where the transmission seems to hesitate and doesn't change gears.
  11. Check out this thread first. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/53795-ddm-tuning-vs-the-retrofit-source-hids/
  12. If you drive like EPA, you will get EPA numbers. However if you like to drive like you like driving...you wont achieve EPA numbers. :-) I have 18xx on my 2.0. Got a fill-up yesterday and hopped right on the highway for about 53 miles and got 32.7 via the computer. Fully loaded (two adults, two kids) cruising at 70. However, I don't traditionally get those numbers over that same drive. ;-) Knowing the games around the EPA numbers (IE they can only really be used for car to car comparison because the EPA is delusional if they think their test is a true representation of driving) I am pleased with what I can get out of her.
  13. I don't see them as cluttered either. I think most of this comes down to braille. It has to. I have seen a "million" physical buttons on a climate control and thought WTF (looking at Chevy climate controls)? Whats the difference if its on the screen or hard button? And all the references to phones is ludicrous. Apple has a simplistic delivery but its fixed. Droid allows customization. Apples Environment is take it or leave it. Droid allows people to develop so there is a ton of garbage code where stuff works 98%. There is a give and take and you can't please everyone. My only thing is regardless of presentation, make sure it works. Apple fans are going to want to be led to the water and told how to drink it. Droid fans are going to want to customize the crap out of it and move buttons just for the sake of moving them. Its not going to happen.
  14. I would love to see a written document in what they are addressing. I don't think MFT is horrible, took some getting used to just like anything else that new and does things differently. From my limited use I want one bug fixed. Auto climate; the button on the console. If you don't have it illuminated, it should be OFF. If you press the AC button and it goes from illuminated to dark it should NOT operate. Otherwise why is it there? Currently I have to go to the LCD screen to get the AC to correctly cut off. And as a software developer by trade, releasing big patches like this regardless of how much you tested brings in its own set of issues.
  15. Good call on the hail. Had mine three days before getting pounded with over 150 dents and 2600 in damage. Came out awesome by the guy that repaired it but that didn't help my ulcer!
  16. Let it run all the way down to trigger the low gas warning (to make sure it worked, no missing that! ) and found out I can only put 13.697 gallons in with DTE showing --- . Sigh.
  17. And also, how is it cheaper? If I have to fuel up more times to get to the same distance because of more corn; how is that cheaper for me? That's false marketing and any reference to being less cost be removed. Around me E85 isn't that much cheaper. Only about 35 cents cheaper. I bet long term its more expensive to run.
  18. Gotcha...and yeah. In congruence with testing and real world is an easy fix. However it does make you wonder why when the EPA/Feds "require" xxx ethanol yet the sticker in hard print is testing differently. *shakes head*
  19. Oh, I know that. I had a boosted MR2 where I had the tune set for E85 (switchable back to normal 91 octane) and had the necessary parts replaced. Its great when mileage isn't a concern. And lets face it I didn't care with my MR2. :-) It was a flog and play car. There is something most people don't understand; There is LESS energy in E-xx than pure fuel (and the EPA doesn't do their testing on E-xx, only pure gas which is another complaint). The more ethanol, the more crap-tastic your mileage all other parameters being the same. That and the fact that most systems will not handle E-15 without degradation of certain plastic parts is infuriating. Who is going to foot that bill? Manufacturers are already screaming about potential warranty claims to something that was not a design consideration. EPA needs to get bent in this situation.
  20. I can see retro fitting HID to a halogen reflector as its "close enough" but LEDs being not being omni-directional I am not so sure how well it would light up...?
  21. Thats a bummer Henry. I was hoping this was an isolated instance.
  22. Plus Ethanol is an easy way to boost octane. Corn is not a cost effective renewable resource in the US and this idiocy about putting it and requiring it in our fuel doesnt do anything other than raise the price of food.
  23. For that you can wire up head rest DVD systems. Plus you cant see much of the DVD display from the back seat without craning your neck. I agree with Akirby and find a portable system.
