  1. I'm getting the Titanium, and as of now, only the quasi-luxury standard too-many-spoke and the dark painted stainless aluminum H-spoke wheels are available. But I would have probably got these Y spoke wheels the car was initially shown with:Even though they look harder to clean. They look like they may be heavier too, but I could be wrong. Late availability, so probably not till 2013.
  2. Yes Kershaw, that was a hybrid. It was just a quickie cell phone pic with my Android. I didn't bring my nice camera. But I did take a short ride in it. I don't think I've ever been so excited about a new car launch. Good job, Ford!
  3. Ruby Red:p.s. anyone: how do you post pics in the reply as a full size pic and not an attactment?
  4. Nice feature for the average joe/jill, I'll test mine up in the mountains to see if it helps with understeer on the tight corners.
  5. Just reading the owners manual, you can disable the windows down function on the remote, but I don't think it would accidently be pressed just by being in your purse/pocket, I think the unlock button has to be held for 2 seconds.
  6. As I understand it, it's available with any 1.6 turbo, but only the automatic. I believe it also includes active grill shutters and the hybrids additional underbody aerodynamic shielding. The more time you spend in traffic and stoplights, the more relevant it becomes. I've heard it works better than BMW's system, so it's a good design. The price is right, too.
  7. I ordered and put a deposit in August 19. I called my salesman the other day, asking for ANYTHING, he says I have to come in and sign the order, and get (another) a copy of my drivers license. As near as I can tell, my order was dead in the water untill I asked about it. But it gave me an opportunity to change my color. Plus a bargaining chip to get a discount.
  8. They say that the AWD helps the handling, but they arn't comparing the FWD to the AWD versions back to back. I've thought about it, and with only 270 foot pounds pulling over 3500 pounds, I don't think there's enough power to justify needing AWD. With less $, weight, and complexity, I think the FWD version will be fine for me. It would be another thing if the 3.5 ecoboost was in there. (hint hint, nudge nudge)
  9. I got all excited the other day coming home from work: LOOK! A NEW FUSION! oh no wait, that's just a Taurus...
  10. I just changed my order almost 2 months in from Bordeaux to Ruby Red. No problem.
  11. One of the magazines did a comparison of the midsize cars, and the fusion was the quietest on the sound meter.
  12. I wish there was about 50 more colors. When I was first picking a color, I made a decision based on Fords website pics to go with the Bordeaux. It looks like dark red, and it's not extra cost. Unfortunatly, that's not the reality. In person, it's dark metallic purple, and in shade or overcast light, it washes out to dark brown. Soooooo... -ice storm is hybrid only, want the 2 liter. -ginger ale is interesting, but can seem green or goldish, and is just too light a shade. -dark blue just doesn't do it for me. boring. -black always looks nice, but I want color. -dark silver looks nice, but doesn't pop with the nice body that much. -silver? still looks nice, but I've seen enough silver cars to last multiple lifetimes. -whites: looks beautiful, but too passive -Ruby Red metallic: pony up to the extra cost, it's a beautiful color. Took a ride in a Red hybrid at the dealer the other day, nice car.
  13. Looks very nicely put together. I will be happy with it. Whenever it comes in.
  14. I would have probably ordered the bright red, but I don't like paying extra for paint, (even though I know car paint can be very expensive). On Fords website, the Bordeaux Reserve looked like a dark red, but in person, it is purple/grape. Dark red is one thing, but purple is another. But I still ordered Bordeaux Reserve, because my girlfriend and me both agreed on it, and it is a passionate color. Darker colors are more dramatic, lighter colors are too tame. EDIT: Too purple, too dark, too brownish in low light. Going Ruby Red Metallic now!!
