  1. I'm excited about the new truck, and would love for it to get great mileage, but I think the 2.7 ecoboost will get the epa rating of 18/25, and the way I drive it will probably get closest to the lower number. I want the new F150, but I havn't decided on the engine. I don't think there will be a massive difference in mileage no matter which engine.
  2. Hello my fello Fusionites! This started soon after picking up the car, a loud groaning noise and vibration when changing the seat recline position. The recliner motor gets used a lot, as my girlfriend and I both drive it and we have very different seat positions programmed. We took the car to the dealer once already for this, and now the issue is back, even louder than before. We'll take it back again before the warranty expires, just wondering if any of you have experienced the same issue? It is loud enough to be heard outside the car. Oh, and both front seats are affected.
  3. No tranny problems here. Best auto I've ever had.
  4. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Rock on Ford!
  5. I'm not worried about the tank or the fuel pump or sender. I look in the manual, and it tells me how much gas it's supposed to hold. Even thow the gauges show there are 0 miles to empty, the car still drives. I am not worried about that, I feel it is the manufacturer being conservative. I just pump the gas and see how much I put in. If it is close to the capacity of the tank as listed in the manual, then I know I'm getting maximum range. ps: I brought mine in for the My Ford Touch update today. There was also an outstanding recall for a few other things including the fuel pump. We'll see how much they replace....
  6. It's all marketing and profit. For me, it depends on what drivetrain is available and how refined it is. I do like the trunk treatment, but otherwise, the regular Titanium available in the US is superior in the styling. Now, if they put in a turbo v6 with AWD and kept the price reasonable, they just might have something!
  7. akirby, I'm with you. They already have control of the ball, they want to see if they can keep control of it all the way down the field.
  8. My headliner looks slightly funky where it meets the windshield. But I don't often look that closely there. From a Mechanics standpoint, headliners are a big job to install correctly. I think a lot of the guys try to do it under book time and that's when the problems show up. If it were me, I wouldn't lemon law it, I would escalate it at the first dealer. It can be done right, it just takes time.
  9. On this car, I'm just going by the manual, it says wait till the oil change light comes on. Since Ford made and tested the car, I figure they know what they're talking about. I didn't baby it, and it still went almost 10000 miles before the light came on. Turbo engine.
  10. I would pull it all off and put Mondeo, I think it's a better name for this car. I think some kid pulled off your letters.
  11. I just use soap and water like the rest of the car, but I try to do them last, so the dirt doesn't contaminate my bucket water for the rest of the car.
  12. My girlfriend did the same thing to ours. She said some guy in a dually almost ran her over, and she hit the curb to try to avoid him. I bought some silver model paint, but it's not dark enough. Anyone know if Ford makes a touch-up paint with this color??
  13. Did mine. Used the factory 910 filter, my local parts store had it behind the counter. "Synthetic" Mobil 1 of the recommended viscosity. For those of you that don't care you can toss the under engine bay cover, but I'll be using it, I just love the way this thing coasts. I did all the full service inspections as recommended in the manual, and signed it off myself. I like doing it myself, that way I know it's done right, I am automatically skeptical of any work done by a dealer. I had a metal loop wrench of the right size that worked, it is tight in there. Only issue I noticed was a little oil mist on the ends of the steering rack, but no drips. Pretty much easy peasy, just take your time and look at everything. I went almost 10k miles on the oil that came with the car, so I am trusting Ford that they know what they're talking about in the manual. On my Mustang I change by color, so it doesn't stay in that long.
  14. I've played stuff in my phone over bluetooth, but it was mostly just to make sure it worked. With all the different ways to play music in the car, typically for me I just play my usb drive or Satellitte. It's easier.
  15. I normally would go with a stick shift, but with this type of vehicle, an auto trans is the way to go, especially since it's the only way the "big" engine comes. I haven't noticed this particular cvt style phenomenom, and I actually think the trans works pretty good right out of the box. Sometimes in D mode, it is a little reluctant to downshift on hills, but that is for economy reasons. In S mode, it's much more likely to hold onto the gears longer. So, BlueSpikz, I would try S mode, it should help you out. You don't have to use the paddles either.
  16. I agree with TimF, on the hybrid, the whole emphasis is to get away from a flame throwing, dinosaur burning, check out my dual exhaust vibe? As for me, I'll take my dual integrated exhaust and turbo power and better handling and increased trunk space and cheaper out-the-door cost until something better comes along.
  17. I think they all have it stick or not, am I correct? Not that you would reall need it that much with the automatic. It's not even a big deal with a stick shift, but I know some people have a harder time of it than others.
  18. It could have been an intentional default, but it's probably something that got overlooked among several million details. But for me, it doesn't matter-it sounds different, but no better than regular stereo.
  19. Musta been a Monday car. But I like the parking brake! Mine works great.
  20. another thing that helps is turn up the bass a couple notches.
  21. Mine climate doesn't make any sounds at all, beyond the fan sound. And I usually turn it down to the lowest speed anyway. I agree with Fuss, go to a similar new Fusion on the lot and try it.
  22. I assumed it was all mirrors had auto dimming. I have never noticed anything too bright from any mirror, so they work good on my car.
  23. Wow. That's hardcore cash, plus install. And that's if it would actually work. I say it's better to enjoy the car as it is! If you can afford $2000.00 for taillights, you could have afforded the Titanium in the first place, and got all the other Titanium equipment for free!
  24. Nope. Mine knows if there's one in the trunk and one in the back seat, but if it's 20 feet away, it won't start. Unless you use the remote start button of course.
