  1. My 2013 Ford Fusion has problems with the new IOS 8, 5 seconds into a call my iPhone 6 disconnects. Music plays fine thru USB but Bluetooth will think call has ended & abruptly disconnect. I've tried resetting the system & did a master reset. Deleted all Bluetooth proflies & re-paired my iPhone & still will not work. I had to go back to using a headset in my fusion. Unbelievable that they would not have tested this before releasing as ford & Apple are supposed to be working together....
  2. Well after a few days the surround sound function now is hit or miss as to whether it will be on next time I get in the car. Seems like if I leave the car off for a couple of hours and then start up it will usually be on. Overnight almost always will default back to off. One cool feature I noticed that was included in the update is in the back up camera. A red or yellow square quadrant will illuminate when backing up in the area the sensors detect may be a hazard. This never happened for me prior and don't know if anyone else has noticed this addition.
  3. Well I got my car back from the dealer after having numerous issues with navigation lock-ups, phone not pairing, system rebooting almost daily, etc. and they did a complete wipe of the software and reload and then updated to version 3.6 and it is amazing... Finally pairs with my iphone reliably and the navigation is working great and now loads the POI information where before that feature never came on. Hopefully it will last and even works great with Spotify thru the USB and displays artist info on the main screen. One annoyance that seems to have been fixed is that the surround function on the sound options will stay selected after I shut the car off and come back. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will keep going.....
  4. Dropped my car off at the dealer today as I have been very frustrated with Sync. It had gotten to the point where the screen would go black and then reset itself almost on a daily basis. Did a master reset and all the other tricks listed on here but nothing worked. Downloaded the latest version 3.6 on a USB stick and gave it to the service manager just in case they didn't have it and of course they didn't know about the update. They are keeping the car all day and will do the first oil change and service so hopefully I will get all the issues resolved and be able to enjoy some of the features I've been missing.
  5. For me this can't come soon enough. Sync is sooooo frustrating for me. I have an Iphone 4S and it generally takes at least 5-10 minutes for Sync to fully recognize the phone. Then invairiably it will lock up and go through a re-boot about once or twice a week. I simply cannot believe that Ford would release a pile of steaming fec#$ that is the current version of Sync. One of the big attractions for me in purchasing this car was the tech but I find myself half of the time getting so frustrated with either the system locking up or simply rebooting that I don't bother trying to play songs off of my phone. I also have a problem with the nav in that it will take a good 5 minutes after start before it will start to navigate. On more than a few occasions after using the navigation it will be fine and then about a half hour into a trip it resets. I understand that a class action suit has been started for disssatisfied Sync users and I am very tempted to join in. It simply is incredible that Ford would release a product that works less than half the time with one of the most popular cell phones around.
  6. Ok well I think you know the survey that I'm referring too, but was contacted to give my opinions as to my initial ownership experiences of my Titanium Fusion. Overall I really love the car and cannot find fault with the powertrain, interior and definately not with the exterior. That being said I can find quite a bit of fault with the Sync system and how it interacts or rather fails to interact with my IPhone 4S. I have had several instances of the system working fine and playing nice with my Iphone and playing music and working with Spotify and then out of the blue the system locks up and eventually shuts down and reboots while I am driving. The last time I was using the navigation and going out to dinner at a new restaurant and the system decides to lock up.... I disconnected my phone, tried turning off the entertainment system but nothing works. About 3 minutes later I get the dreaded Sync performing maintenance and then it starts the restart process. About 5 minutes later everytning comes back online. Luckily I had an idea as to where I was heading but if I were in an unfamiliar area I would have had to pull over, shut down the car and hope that everything came back up. I have the 3.5.1 update that was factory installed and everything is up to date. I know I'm not the only one suffering from these problems and let me repeat I love the car but am really not happy with Sync and had no problem conveying this to the survey taker. Ford REALLY needs to get it's act together on Sync or change vendors becuase this system has been out for a few years and for these problems to be an ongoing non-isolated problem is completely unacceptable.... Ok rant over. I love my Fusion.... really I do.
  7. All I can say is that coupe looks awesome and I'd buy it in a a heartbeat if I didn't need a four door. It is sooo much nicer than the Accord coupe which would be it's direct competition. I know having just taken delivery of my Fusion Ti all the looks I get and this photoshop looks great... I would not be surprised at all if we don't see this showing up next year or at least we can hope.....
  8. I think the order was actually entered into the system by my dealer on 12/26 but didn't receive a VIN or production date until 1/18 (a friday). Car was manufactured on 2/7. Fully loaded Fusion Ti so they are making them and seem to be working through the order process much more quickly and hopefully have worked out most of the issues from the earlier assemblies.
  9. Barsoom, That's great news you should have yours before the weekend! By the time I get all of the paperwork done and the time to pick it up it will probably be Friday for me but I can't wait. Haven't had a brand new car in awhile so the smell alone should be worth it.... Anyway good luck with yours and look forward to hearing how your delivery goes.
  10. Well I guess miracles do happen... My dealer just called and my car was just dropped off from the carrier and is getting washed & prepped!!! Not bad as the build date was 2/7 & the dealer is in Long Beach. Can't wait to pick it up and of course post a couple of photos.
  11. Barsoom, My dealer still had no word re status but don't know if you might have better intel. Car was built on the 7th so I would think both of ours should be heading north by now.....
  12. Barsoom, Interesting to see if our Fusions show up together. Mine was built on 2/7 and I'm in So Cal. We might be on the same train north but how long does it typically take from the build date to delivery to the west coast???

    DRL's

I have seen a couple of posts in another forum where they replaced the DRL's with LED wedge lights when they did the HID retrofit and it looks really good. I thought the Fusions all came with the DRL's activated. There must be a way to turn them on.
  14. To anyone who can give a comparison. I am contemplating ordering the HID kit to install once my Fusion arrives (scheduled for beginning of February), but wanted to know the difference in light output between the 35 watt kit and 50/55watt kit @ 5000K. I want to upgrade for the best light output but at the same time don't want to get constantly flashed if too much glare. Appreciate any input and thanks.
  15. Just wondering if anyone has been tracking the general time frame between placing your order for a Titanium Fusion and actual delivery. I placed my order towards the end of December but so far have not been able to get any info as to anticipated delivery. I know the Hybrids have been taking longer but if anyone might be able to provide some insight I would appreciate it. My dealer did not know as I will be getting the second Titanium for their dealership and the first customer custom ordered Fusion Titanium.... I'm in Southern California if that makes a difference. Thanks!
