  1. Do you have a link for the Hybrid version?
  2. I posted this a while back. It was how I found my Fusion. The Ford site is terrbile for inventory searches. " I would recomend using the dealerconnection site to search inventories. You can search the dealer inventories much quicker than ford.com and it seems to be spot on regarding whether a vehicle is in stock. That is how I found my Fusion Hybrid. 2013 Fusion Hybrids still seem like they are still extremely limited in quantity (at least in NY/Philly corridor). On 10/15, One popped up as "in stock" during my daily check (took me about 10 minutes/day to search the nearest 30 dealers or so) that was exactly what I wanted so I called up the dealer who said, "yup, we got it in today", I drove over with my x-plan pin and bought it. Happy ever since. http://content.deale...us_ford_en.html "
  3. I have 8,300 miles (~3,300 miles on the ICE) on mine and my oil monitor says I'm at 21% life. Based on that I should be able to get a little over 10k miles before my first oil change. I'll have had the car for 6 months next week, so I'm debating getting my first oil change done at 6 months or holding out another month to get to 10k miles. I still need to get the headlight recall and MFT update when I bring it in too.
  4. On the topic of "Sudden Spike in fuel efficiency", I have observed a spike over the past 2 warm spring days. This morning I got 55.1mpg on my commute into work, which is my personal best. I'm currently at a 52.5mpg average for my current tank of gas (~120 miles so far). If the weather stays warm, I'm expecting to eclipse 50mpg for the tank. I am happy with the increase in fuel economy with the rise in temperature. My experience In 01 - 10 degree weather I was struggling to get 40mpg In 11 - 20 degree weather I was getting around 42.5mpg In 21 - 39 degree weather I was getting around 45mpg So far in 60 - 70 degree weather I'm aroud 52mpg (I still need more experience here, but the preliminary result looks promising) With warm weather and efficient driving, 47mpg is easily attainable, which is something I wasn't so sure about back in October when I first bought this car.
  5. On top of that workload to propel the car, it is charging the battery most of the time too... Not bad I'd say
  6. This got me thinking about what my actual mpg is for just the gas engine. Solely when the gas engine is running I got 15.88mpg on my most recent tank of gas. The math: 44.1 mpg (It's a little low since my wife drove about 10% of the miles and she gets like 35mpg) 11.6 gallons used 512.6 miles driven 328.4EV miles 184.2 ICE miles 184.2 miles / 11.6 gallons = 15.88MPG Good thing I get EV miles...
  7. This is right in line with my experience. The gas engine likes the 20MPG line a lot. The only way I can get it over that line is when going down a decline or when going > 65MPH.
  8. Because of this post I took at a gander at the door/dash line on my car this morning. It is lined up just fine on my car.
  9. I decided to do a little mileage test on my way into work this morning. I decided to separate my normal drive into work into two segments (I just stopped my car to get separate mpg read outs). On my way to work, my mpg starts out bad until a certain point where it bottoms out and then from that point on it gets better and better until I get to work. I beleive this is due to the combination of the engine warming up as well as less uphill terrain as I get closer to work. Here is what I found. Temperature - 28 degrees Total miles driven - 36 Total mpg - 45.3mpg First section (bad mileage portion of my daily commute) Total miles driven - 12.6 Total mpg - 30.7mpg Second section (good mileage portion of my daily commute) Total miles driven - 23.4 Total mpg - 61mpg This was pretty much what I expected. There was a difference of 30.3mpg between the two segments of my commute. Getting 61mpg over a 23.4 mile span does look nice on paper. If only I could start my commute there with my car warmed up...
  10. I've been getting 42mpg with the temperature between 5 - 10 degrees Farenheit this past week. What was the temperature during your 37mpg best case scenario?
  11. I wouldn't get 37mpg in my hybrid unless I put a lot of effort into trying to get bad gas mileage. Even when I pay no attention to how I'm driving (ie. when I'm in a hurry and drive very fast) I still get around 38-40mpg. As far as cold goes, The lowest temp I hit was in the low teens and I still was able to top 40mpg (I think I was around 41mpg that day). I feel bad for you because there is something wrong...
  12. Last night, I was able to squeeze 12 gallons into my hybrid. I had went about 15 miles past 0 MTE.
  13. I'm not trying to hijack your tracking thread, but I don't post enough for my own blog... It was pretty warm this morning (40 degrees) and I was able to squeeze out 52.1mpg on my drive to work. It is a little artificial as I stopped at a store about 5 miles from my house which allowed the engine to already be warm for the remaining 31 miles calculated here. Either way, I think it is proof that when the temp outside warms up I will be able to consistently hit 47mpg if not a little higher. I continue to see mpg improve with my hybrid driving improvements as well. I also think my FFH is starting to know my route to work as it felt like I had just a little extra EV juice on a few pieces of prime EV coasting road.
