  1. I have a 2013 Ford Fusion SE and verified that I have the shutters also.
  2. You can have a shop open your headlamp assemblies and install LED strips, that's really all you can do. OR if we were fortunate like Europe, we could get them in our 2013 Ford Mondeos. I guess we werent lucky enough to be able to have them in the America's
  3. I went with these bulbs as a solution to LED's that did not work for me. I wanted the parking lights brighter and whiter to match my HID system. They are not supposed to light up the road. I would rather not have DRL's but was merely a suggestion for others that did not want to pay the $109.00 dealer fee to get the DRL's turned on.
  4. Jamers, go to your local auto parts store, they carry them as replacement bulbs. Got mine at Pepboys for $10
  5. I tried installing the LED's for parking lights, either they were not bright enough or were impossible to install. I went with Sylvannia Silverstar 18w (921st) bulbs with the blue coating, much much brighter and completely white. Kinda tricky to get in there but they look great. Even bright enough to be DRL's if the parking lights are turned on.
  6. 3 bolts indeed. Takes about 20 minutes for complete install. Used these bulbs http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007I75D8W/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 they are very bright and fit in easily. Nice clean white light 330 lumens.
  7. On the satellite radio issue, I do know, that Sirius is cutting back and using lower bandwidth stream quality on stations that are less popular, sounds like its in a tin can sometimes. Other stations, CD's, local radio and media all sound normal.
  8. Just to add to the noise topic. I was hearing a rattling from the passenger side of my car, I could not tell where it was coming from. Then, I thought I heard it from the passenger side back seat area. Today, I hear the same damn noise from my drivers door. I found the noise. It is the small black plastic panel (behind the door pull) that was rattling. Apparently, the plastic clips that hold the small panel on were Grinded down to allow from easier installation, so there is not a tight fit. I checked all four and they were all grinded down. I tacked with a lil super glue and the noise is gone. Ahhhh.......... the joys of owning a new model car, but I enjoy the challenge.
  9. Just put in my LED parking bulbs also, same as Wizard. Looks great. Yes, the whole grill needs to come off and make sure to look for 2 bolts under the headlight assembly, these need to come out also to remove the headlamp.
  10. I had an older LG Android phone that I was having the same problem with. Also, it would not always show it was connected to my Sync. I recently upgraded to a new Samsung Galaxy SIII and have had no issues at all. A tech at Verizon had mentioned that the older Android system was not very BT friendly with Sync. I had no problems with my last Phone and 2010 Fusion, but was a issue with the new 2013. All is good for me now.
  11. Just to confirm, I purchased mine Oct 10, went through a credit union and got 3.74% apr (much better than Ford Credit) and DID receive my $1000 rebate.
  12. I'm not sure what speed they calculate for highway speeds for the estimate, unsure if its 55 or 65. I could not even begin to measure my highway speed as I live in mountainous high desert. The faster your average speed does not ensure better gas mileage, the engine is running at higher rpm's. Is there anyone who has done highway driving at 55 or 65 mpg that can report mpg's?
  13. Here is the official government site for gas mileage, 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. You can research other cars as well. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find.do?action=sbs&id=33083
  14. I have sport mode on my 2.5l SE, it is more fuel efficient, I experimented with 2 trips and the sport mode was about 3 mpg better. But, I was also more conscience of my driving habits as well.
  15. Ok, this is my 3rd fusion, had a 2007, a 2010 and now a 2013 SE. I do 100% city driving and my city is "Speed Hump" crazy. This has a lot to do with mpg. In addition, the fusion auto transmission is capable of learning your driving habits. If you have bad habits while driving, your transmission begins to drive badly as well. So, every 2,000 miles or so, I disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes, this resets the transmission. My car was getting about 18 mpg, I did a reset and it now is averaging 21.6 (city) which is "in-line" with Fords city estimate of 22 mpg. Just a tip to help you gas conscience drivers.
  16. How about Toyota not telling its customers for years about recalls? I would never spend one penny on any Toyota.
  17. I had a 2010 Fusion SE before my 2013 SE, I have the same engines in both (2.5 liter). In my 2010, I averaged 22.5 in the city. Driving the same route in my new 2013, I'm only getting 19.2. I'm now over 1,000 miles and still getting same mileage as when I first got the 2013, no improvement at all.
  18. I had mine done yesterday, had the parts on hand, took 1.5 hours. Took a walk on the lot to see 3 new fusions, all 1.6's. I guess they aren't going anywhere.
  19. There is a current recall on headlight assemblies, make sure you are not on the recall list before wasting your time.
