I ordered my MKZ with Smoked Quartz based on what it looked like in the website colors. When I saw it at our local auto show I was surprised to see how dark it was, almost black or so it seemed due mainly to lighting. When I actually got the car, depending on the lighting, it isn't as dark as black and does have a bluish tint to it. I haven't had a chance yet to see it clean as we have been having quite a bit of snow but I love the color and think it actually looks quite elegant.

I will echo what Tanner said, they are very clear and bright. The accent LED lights are quite elegant looking too. I've had my car almost a month now and am loving every minute of it!

That was the wife's idea! Got used to it with '08 MKZ but the hood is higher on the '13 so have to get used to it again.

No problem answering questions like that but i can honestly say that for #'s 1-3 I don't know. I was dealing with the delership general manager and never asked her for the VIN # and for some reason didn't feel comfortable doing it. Whenever i would ask for an update she would most often tell me that there was no new news. I can provide the VIN # if that would be helpful at this point and mayber someone can decipher those answers.

Well I picked up my MKZ last Thursday and I must say that i absolutely LOVE this car! What a difference from my 2008 MKZ which gave almost 5 years of rather trouble-free ownership. I've taken a few pics but since we've had some snow almost everyday since i got it the car hasn't been very clean.[attachment=12819:Interior1.JPG]

Hi all, This is my very first post and on a topic of great interest to me since have extended the lease on my 2008 MKZ so that I could get the 2013. I was told by my dealership manager that my car has in fact been produced (ordered it on Sept. 17) but it's waiting to be released. She expects it to arrive at the beginning of January. BTW, the dealership had the pre-production vehicle for viewing yesterday and I went to see it. It is stunning! The car has lots of presence, I can't wait to get it!
