I have had the same problem for about two months. Got really bad in late August. Waited to take it in until 2 weeks ago for sending unit replacement and a litany of other small issues. Told them about the smell and how I am familiar with this musty moldy smell in 10 year old cars bought in the 80's but it should not be in a new car. (Built Dec '12) They asked me if I ran it in recirc a lot, I said I did not. They sprayed the freshener in. Good for a day, then its back. This is not a user error causing this, its a design/manufacture/installation problem. Unlike the door rattle (which they still have not fixed on two trys) I don't think Ford (at a dealer level) is going to accept that this is a "problem" with the product. I go back in for pop click noise on front half shaft splines soon, and will try once again. If this never gets fixed, how does a lemon law apply to a "bad smell"?

I must be missing something here. How does flashing the cluster allow more fuel in? So, the thought on this is that when it shows Empty, its not really on empty? The tank actually holds the right amount, but the gauge (and DTE) never was right?

I observed that it consistanly would not stay in surround when I went from radio to usb and vise versa. Also would change back if left on usb upon car shutdown and later restart. That was the predictable behavior. If left in radio it usually stayed, but not always.

I notice a HUGE difference, and I'm no audio snob.

How about text messaging? Does it notify, read them to you, and can you send responding text via voice?

What kind of phone do you have and what software version is it running?

I called in to my dealership to check about the fuel pump recall and to mention the TSB for not being able to fill the tank all the way. I was told they need to inspect the recalled part before they can order it. The service writer said he was familiar with the filling issue, but that the replacing of the tank was not automatically done even though thats how the TSB reads. Most of the time just a reprogram is needed. He says he has seen 8 or 10 of them come through and only 1 needed a tank replacement. I asked how a reprogram was going to affect how much gas the tank was allowing into it. He responsded with "I'm not sure, I think it has something to do with the capless fuel system and the car sensing how much gas there is in there." I asked " So you are saying that when the car incorrectly reads/calculates how much gas is in, there it does something to get the gas pump (back pressure of a filled tank, or whatever normally shuts off a pump?) to shut off?" He said, "yes, something like that." I'm no expert, but that just doesnt sound right. So when I bring it in they will reprogram my Ford Touch system only. After that, I fully expect to have the same issue upon the next fill up and will have to bring it back again.

I spoke to my dealer about the horn honk and was told when they checked with "Ford Technical" that it was not possible at this time. They also said that when you choose the surround sound setting on MFT and it does not stay chosen when you turn off the car, is how it is supposed to be.

How do you go into diagnostic mode?

Amen, amen, amen! Unbelievable that thier mid size big seller that they have invested so much thought into, was not offered with this option. I have had it on my last two cars and I miss it greatly. H11s suck!

Thanks for the pics and install instructions. Any concern that without that "black plastic cowling" under there holding the bottom of the bumper, that the bumper will "catch air" or debris/snow in winter?

What lights and from where, did you use in the reverse that are to dim? Just looking for what to avoid. Any other tips you can pass along to help others (me) who will be using TRS setup to do the same thing? Especially info on that "special" harness, and its cost.

I have used those on previous vehicles. I experienced poor stability on the trunk and paint damage. I wont be using one of those again.

Thinking of finding one to put bike rack on.
