  1. What do diesels have to do with anything?
  2. You sure they didn't change? I ask because I know mine did, subconsciously. Not my commute, nor my "hey I'm gonna run to the store" habits. But my rate of acceleration from a stop or "there's some straight, open road ahead, let's give it the beans" habits. My previous car was a VW GTI VR6, so I went from a 175hp (probably lost a few hp over the course of 12 years) V6 in a little car to a 240hp turbocharged 4-cyl in a bigger car. The engine difference alone is enough to make me drive differently, whether I'm conscious of it or not. And that's reflected in my mileage rating (23mpg in the fusion) I'm not trying to discredit you here. I'm simply saying that while your driving habits may not have changed, your car obviously has, which has to count for something.
  3. What's your driving style/typical commute like? I feel like I drive pretty aggressively, and with the 2.0EB I'm consistently getting over 300 miles per tank (before the low fuel indicator even pops up). My fills are between 12.5 and 14.5 gallons, usually filled a few miles after MTE hits zero. ~4k on the odometer.
  4. looks good. I see you're also part of the SE 2.0EB club
  5. Isn't that what I said? 1. EPA designs test for maximum fuel economy in "ideal" driving conditions. 2. Ford designs cars for maximum fuel economy in "ideal" driving conditions. 3. You can get Ford's numbers if you drive like the EPA test. 4. Ford designed cars around the EPA test. Am I missing something here?
  6. 141hp - 129 ft-lbs in a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder pulling 3600 lbs (before passengers) What do you expect? My sister's Civic has the same engine specs, but the car is a full 1000 lbs lighter. 1000 lbs!
  7. Yep. I'm actually quite glad that my salesman was up front with me about expected mileage, especially because I was initially looking to get the Hybrid. He basically said what everyone here has already concluded. "Ford designed the cars around the EPA tests. You won't get those numbers. In the hybrid, you might see 40mpg, but probably more like 30-35." I decided then and there that if I bought the hybrid I'd spend my days moping about my shitty mileage and being duped by advertising. So I went with horsepower instead.
  8. Don't have Titanium, but do have 2.0EB in my SE. My commute is ~30 miles each way, bout a 50-50 mix of city and 45mph roads. With semi-spirited driving, I'm getting just under 23mpg avg per tank.
  9. Nope...aside from a quick touch up to balance the exposure (it was a bit washed out from the sun). Nikon D3000, kit lens. oh and thanks!
  10. Fit and finish, styling cues, quality of materials, and not to mention price
  11. Stop responding to your emails? Dude he's your salesman. It's his job to cater to your wants and needs in the car buying process. If he stops responding to your emails, he's basically throwing away a sale. That's when you get in touch with the GM of the dealer. If the GM doesnt care, time to switch dealers.
  12. I get what you're saying, and agree to an extent. But that would mean Ford would have to carry 3 (count 'em, THREE) different rear bumper valences to accomodate for the different exhaust patterns. Just doesnt make sense from a design/production perspective. One less part is one less headache for them.
  13. sucks man, but honestly, you waited 3.5 months. What's an extra couple of hours?
  14. this is kind of required. at least it is if they want to get a good score on the survey Ford sends out after you take delivery
  15. Possible that u hit the trunk open button on the fob? I do that accidentally from time to time.
  16. I experimented with this last night. You may have to precede "fm 1" with the word "radio" <talk button> You: "radio" MFT answer: "radio" *ding* You: "fm 1"
  17. So you have two extra button presses. One to bring up the entertainment screen, one to switch the input, and one to bring the nav back up. Oh, and how is navigating thru the menus using an arrow any less time-consuming or button-intensive than flipping thru the inputs using a media button? Left (to bring up menu), right (to select entertainment), down (to highlight sirius), right (to select it), down (to highlight 1, 2, or 3), ok to select preset. That's seven, maybe eight buttons. With a media button, if you're on sirius 2 and want to get to sirius 1, you have to cycle thru sirius 3, cd, usb (if u have it), am1, am2, am3, fm1, fm2, and fm3 to get to sirius 1. That's seven, maybe eight buttons. Am I missing something here?
