  1. I've had the dealer look at it twice so far (5k for first oil change, 12.5k for second change and recall). Both times they said they couldn't dupicate it but "reset it" anyway. Both times, pulling out of the parking lot of the dealership, it hesitates then thunks into gear like always. No sounds or anything, just a nice big ol' lurch. Hasn't seemed to be getting any worse, so I'll just have them look at it AGAIN during the next oil change. Maybe I'll make the the service adviser go for a drive with me so I can make sure he knows WTF I'm trying to describe. Glad to hear I'm not the only one with the problem
  2. i have an iphone, and have some issues hearing the audio right away (but that's to be expected). Never any fast/pause/fast problems. And I certainly dont have to pause it for 15 seconds for it to work.
  3. Ding! When you get in the car you can sometimes hear the fuel pump kick on.
  4. I think you're crooked. Mine is normal.
  5. Sounds like the dreaded "TBD". When Ford/Lincoln was short on a particular part, instead of stopping production to wait for the part, they built the cars without it and essentially set them aside until the parts came in. Status: TBD. Unfortunately, when they resolved the supply shortage, all the parts coming in would go into cars currently being built, leaving the TBD cars unfinished with no real end in sight. Lots of folks just ended up putting in a 2nd order from the dealership. Which, not surprisingly, came in well before their first order. GL!
  6. Can you really blame Ford for MFT being *at times* incompatible with your specific smartphone playing a specfic third-party app while you're also asking it to navigate? Unless you are completely streamlined with one electronics manufacturer across your entire media setup, there's always going to be some issue that doesnt quite work the way it's supposed to. Just the nature of the beast. I can't sit here and say Ford needs to get their act together, because for my car to even have the CAPAPBILITY to stream music from an app on my phone while navigating is pretty darn awesome. I look at this situation as more of a "lesson-learned" for you. If you're relying on the nav to get you somewhere that you've never been, dont stream music from your phone. Or if you want to stream music, look up where you're going first in case MFT does crash and you have to do it the old fashioned way.
  7. BS and research by multi-million dollar tire companies. But i guess that's how they got their millions. By underfilling tires.
  8. Yep. I resize the photo to 800 pixels wide so that it maintains the right proportion, then just crop it to 384 pixels tall in MS paint.
  9. Currently this but these other 6 are in the rotation. I choose them depending on the weather (I kept the fire one as the wallpaper during the winter). feel free to use them for your MFT wallpaper if you like, they're all the correct size.
  10. Thumb drive. MFT will copy them to it's internal memory so you dont need to keep the drive connected
  11. yep.....bought the Bentley manual for my old B4 audi. I think it was sometihng like $90
  12. Isn't that the point of the hybrid? To, you know, run on battery? Without "using any battery", it's a 140hp, naturally aspirated 4-banger pulling a 3600lb car. Of course the gas mileage is going to take a hit. The EPA testing hasn't changed over the last few years. If, as you say, Ford designed the hybrid to ace the EPA test, your obvious knowledge of the faults of the EPA tests should have cautioned you to look into the issue a little further before making your purchase. The information was out there well before you ordered the car. Don't blame Ford or the EPA. Blame yourself.
  13. You're putting WAYYYY to much trust in the govt here
  14. The EPA test are done at an average of 48mph, on a warmed up engine in free flowing "traffic". Of course going faster and in colder temps than that is going to hurt your mileage. And what do you mean "stripped down SE vs. loaded titanium"? The cars are virtually identical except for leather seats and a couple extra buttons. Us SE owners aren't driving in bare metal interiors, ya know!
  15. Dont have a hybrid, but kept track manually for a few consecutive tanks. Pretty much spot on with the computer.
  16. Again, as akirby said "The Mondeo is a premium vehicle in Europe therefore it gets more of the MKZ features to go along with the high price tag and there is no Lincoln brand to compete with. It's that simple."
  17. Great link! Looks like it will be there, but hasn't been released by Ford yet http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2.asp?Make=FRD&Model=FUSI&Year=2013&Category=15&class%5F2=FRD&mk=Ford&yr=2013&md=Fusion&dt=Electronic+Service+Information+%28CD+Rom+and%2For+DVD%29&module=&from=result&Style=helm&Sku=FCS1279813&itemtype=N
  18. But this is the internet. If it happened once it must be true for EVERYONE! To OP - sucks man, but i guess that's what a warranty is for, right?
  19. It's an N/A 4-cyl. that puts out 141hp. 87 octane is fine. http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/specifications/engine/
  20. There are significant difference in regards to ALL regulations in the USA.
  21. The silver/chrome trim is usually connected to the entire shift boot. Shouldnt be all that hard for the dealer to replace for you.
