  1. Yeah, Etch is a joke. My Dealership doesn't even offer it. Huge gimmick.
  2. They won't release that until they schedule a Job #1 for 2014. The only 14 order guides are, ESCAPE, EXPLORER, FLEX, FIESTA AND MUSTANG. Oh, and Taurus.
  3. I purchased them through DDM . (http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W). I went with 35W 5k. I have installed HID's before and these come with a lifetime warranty, plus from what I have read they are simple to install. They were about $100 including shipping. I will probably spend an extra $50-$100 and have someone install them for me.
  4. A 110v Charger comes with the car, since it charges in such a short period of time, i'm not going to get a L2 charger for my house. We have L2 chargers here at the Dealership, so it'll only take about 1hr to charge it since I only have a 9 mile commute. In fact, I may only put about 1/2 tank in the car because I don't want it to go into "fuel freshness" mode later in the year (which is pretty surreal to say actually). Yeah, I'll do a good review with alot of photos for everyone. Tinted windows and Hid's are going to be installed right away, so I'll photo after that.
  5. I sure hope everyone's ETA was as off as mine was. My ETA is still listed as 3/27, but as of this morning it's already in my State. At this rate it will be at the yard by Monday or Tuesday, which means it'll arrive here at the Dealership by the end of next week!
  6. This is correct. A retail order needs to be a priority 10-19. Why your Dealer has you at 99 makes no sense. Just out of curiosity, I'm a Ford Dealer in Everett WA, and 505A package SE Hybrids are really easy to get right now. Why don't you just have your Dealer Locate one for you and get it for you now?
  7. Almost ALL banks's approvals are good for 30 days. So if your ETA is W/I that period of time, I wouldn't worry too much about the financing part. The Dealer can provide all that is necessary to finish up the financing approval. All you need is a VIN #, Invoice and a Buyers Order.
  8. The Dealer would just contact for C&I (Contests and Incentives) Department to get it handled. Ford understands that these vehicles are just now being released form the factory. I'll call my rep tomorrow to find out if it is still claimable after the deadline. I'll report back here then.
  9. There is no such thing as "locking in" rebates. All we have to do is print the current incentives at the time of order, along with proof of the order date. Then, at delivery if the incentives went down, we just scan and upload the 2 documents to Ford, and they give us a program # and cert# to claim the rebates. VIN #'s have nothing to do with it, VIN or no VIN we do not need that. You are completely safe from losing rebates, its really easy for a Dealer to claim!
  10. There is no way that Ford would ever differentiate a low volume Dealer vs High Volume with those sort of concessions. It's lazy and uninformed vs pro consumer and informed.
  11. I'm not sure about the MSRP price protection, I have never heard of that, or ever run into that as a problem. So, they may have that protection, I just don't know. Yes on the rebate protection. Ford honors ALL rebates available at the time of order. Here is the process: At time of order, Dealer must print all available rebates on a "like" vehicle. This is found in "vincent", which is the rebate system. At the time of delivery if the rebates have decreased, the Dealer can give the customer the higher rebates. Dealer just needs to scan the original Order printout and vincent, upload to Ford. After approval the Dealer can claim those and get paid.
  12. I have never had to claim for a price increase in 19 years. Though, more important is the Rebate protection policy. If the rebates decrease by delivery, I can claim the original rebates at the day of order. Price changes are so minuscule nobody every even brings it up.
  13. They just get re-invoiced and Ford sends a new MSRP to the Dealership. So, I assume if it costs them more money, they will forward that to the consumer.
  14. Wow, my car is really crusin now! --IN TRANSIT--ARRIVED INTERMEDIATE POINT (UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD)---WCOLTON, CA----MAR-09-2013,05:49PT---ETA, MAR-27 At this rate it should be here early! It's great to them showing up on Dealer lots finally, Looks like Ford has really delivered on the distribution of Energi's. Hopefully hey have learned by the screw ups on the job #1 Hybrids
