  2. i would find it extremely maddening if they do this on assignment stuff and those of us WHO WEREN'T LAZY and chose to keep working get screwed out of any signing bonus or offered a drastically smaller one. Ive been trying to stay positive but this secret stuff and overall lack of respect for the membership is growing thin. I have a wife and kids to worry about too..
  3. That's what is so confusing to all of us I am a full-time employee at map but I was put off on ILO then sent to flat rock on LTS assignment status. I do not get short work week and I cannot bump anybody or sign any bids, myPay has stayed the same. Trust me I've asked a few different committeeman and I've also asked bargaining reps at flat rock and I cannot get a straight answer from anybody.

Another question I can't get fully answered is those from MAP on ILO but working at another plant on assignment, are they eligible for the signing bonus, and does the time they've been on assignment go towards their profit share? Ive asked many times and have gotten "I believe so" and at orientation in July "not sure, let me check" ... Never heard back
  7. Ok, just curious. Everyone (iUAW, Ford) is so hush hush with any info for us it makes it very nerve racking
  8. Where do u get that info from, and how confident are u in that? Will they keep their original start date or get screwed and have to use their FRAP start date as seniority?

  10. I was at MAP for a little over three years then was put onto ILO, and chose to go to flat rock assembly on assignment until told otherwise instead of sitting on my butt on ILO
  11. i'll start this off by saying I am not complaining, just asking... i am a few years into my time with Ford/UAW and love what i do, but i was just wondering why the union keeps touting 8 hours work, 8 hours rest, 8 hours personal time, and weekends off yet in my few years I've been an entry level employee I've never had a schedule less than 10 hours a day and due to time on C crew worked every weekend. Now I'm on a day shift schedule and after labor day we've been told we are moving to 11 hour shifts 5 days a week and 2 Saturdays a month until further notice .. Leading up to this labor day we have been running 10.5 5 days a week. Again not complaining, just asking why the union keeps touting the 8/8/8 stuff on social media, parades and at orientations when it does not even exist. Just trying to understand the union as best i can factually, not just from the rumor mill... And yes, i do understand this business is feast or famine as well.

  15. My question is what will happen to us entry-level that were put on ILO in June from MAP come September 6... I also heard that all LTS will be laid off beginning of Sept. We are just in a weird spot those of us that are entry-level but are working summer help "LTS" at other plants right now and they still have no answers for us
  16. I guess I didn't specify correctly I am an LTS only while at another plant helping out for the summer, I am entry-level with almost 4 years at Ford

Im still confused whats going to happen with those of us that were sent on ILO from MAP in June, and have been working at other plants as "LTS" we asked the union where we're currently at "whats the plan for us?", and they just have no other answers except "just plan on being back on layoff first week of September, most likely". Im sure this is all a cluster to sort out for Ford and UAW but theres gotta be some info/updates, right? Or will we not hear anything until after the contract?

  19. Has anybody received a letter or phone call yet that was placed on ILO from MAP, and if so where? I have not, but 3 people i stay in touch with have, 2 at Rawsonville and 1 at Brownstown. I would like to keep this post going for those on ILO from MAP

  21. How does this Union not hold any kind of meeting or Q&A for those being laid off, on top of offering no information for people to make an educated decision. Not to mention completely staying away from those being laid off... What a shit show
  22. Are there any negative ramifications to not signing? Sorry if my questions seem mundane but this is my first experience with all this layoff/plant transfer stuff so I'm a bit confused and worried.. My rep was NO help, just told me to go talk to labor.
  23. According to bargaining rep and my rep I spoke to today, it will not effect your unemployment if you don't sign. It's simply giving those who want to work over summer the chance to work, those who don't don't have to sign.
  24. So I'm kind of confused on this LTS sign ups. If we don't sign we just sit on layoff getting unemployment and Sub pay waiting for a call, if we sign we go to whichever plant, as an LTS with no short work week or sub pay in the event of being sent home or cancelled shifts, since you're labeled LTS.. Do I have this right?
  25. thatsix speed trans issue is what i hear complained about the most from so many people. My wife had a 13' Focus and thats all she kept saying to me, "it drives very odd, i don't like it" as soon as her lease was up, she went and got an Edge.. Good friends of ours have a 14' Focus and thats what the wife complains of too, she said she feels like the trans is about to buck off the car at any minute, she has also had an issue with it slipping into neutral mid drive (even when the shifter is still showing "Drive") she has taken it in to her dealer and they pretty much just tell her "thats how its suppose to be" and they refuse to do anything... What a cluster
