  1. Looked like he was choking to death today didnt it ????? The Bears beat the weakest team from the start of the playoffs. Look at their regular season record and losses. The Colts are going to blow the Bears out. No doubt about it. The Bears are not capable of generating the points the Colts can.
  2. 23 and I think Bush is an idiot.
  3. Ford does not pay us anything. A Dealership is an independent business. We only try to sell the product. Unfortunately with the lack of sales, Dealerships have turned to their Service Departments to be their main profit center. Couple that with the cost of required equipment and the labor rates are getting higher and higher. We use book time, there is no gouging. I can and will show you the flat rate time for any repair I do on your vehicle. But Some Dealerships are crooked, there is no doubt about it. In this day and age the Dealership can offer very little help. Especially with issues such as Skippers. The Dealership no doubt lost their ass trying to repair it and Ford will not assume their responsibility financially if they can get out of it. They are not willing to honor their warranty and dont seem to care if they lose consumers. This started about 5 years ago, and everything happening now was predicted then. Ford has literally destroyed their total network. Your livlihood and mine. The Consumers will never return. Skippers story is not unique. I have invited people from this site to spend a couple days with me and have had no takers. I spend alot of time apolagizing for poor product and have customers tell me at least once a week they will never buy another Ford product. I have won many individual awards from Ford. My store has won the highest CSI ratings year after year. But all of that wont make up for a weak product and lack of Ford support. I tell it like it is. Thats the way it should be. Most of your Dealers are agreeing they would be more profitable and better off without Ford. Alot are considering dropping Ford and remaining as used car lots with Independent repair facilities. Ford has already proven they can not sell/manage retail, and they have failed with their attempts at repair facilities. This isnt over yet fellas. It will only get worse.
  4. Very accurate post Skipper. The lost Consumer count grows and grows.
  5. Nah, no nerve struck here. I have never claimed to know everything.... You have no qualifications for the useless drivel you spew. Your posts are either political related or just jumping into a fire and running your mouth. Thats the kind of shit that make BON almost useless at this point. There are some intelligent life forms here, but you are not one of them sprinter. I dont need to go into my history or what I know or dont know. But one thing I do know is you are a blow hard, and you dont know anything that is relative to this forum.
  6. And Sprinter, Are you just trying to start shit? Why? I dont know why I wasted my time but I did go look at your started topics and posts. You are a dildo, no doubt about it. I also noticed from your join date here at BON you are a real industry dedicated individual. Let me guess, college boy on mommy and daddy, maybe 30, computer expert, know nothing about everything just like to see yourself on screen. No real value of any kind. Close?
  7. Hey Sprinter, (ASSHOLE) is a better moniker, I stated long ago some of these fucking things cant be fixed. Ford sends engineers that cant fix them. (maybe they should do a leak down test?)... If I didnt know there were a few ladies present here at times, (some bearded ), I would tell you what you could suck. You are an idiot. P.S. you should change your name from Sprinter to Sphincter.
  8. Skipper I remembered why I dont come to BON that often and was absent for long periods. You might as well give it up. Some of these guys know it all, and they know the story, and they have the answers.... This forum is full of arm chair experts and fools. There is a whole lot of bad advice and in reality isnt really worth a shit for anything other than beating chests. Sparky, you are ok, but you need to hang at our site. ........
  9. Ok Sprinter, Im a 25 year Master Certified Service Manager and Warranty Administrator. I am also a Ford Certified Tech including Diesel Certified. All of that really means nil. Its only paper. A compression test shows a relative comparison of cylinder balance. Used to point out a weak cylinder. A leak down test is used primarily to show leakage from valves (loss thru intake) or leakage thru the rings (lower end). It is not what we call a "pin point" test revealing the problem. It only is a guide to the area of problem and tear down is required. You close the valves on each cylinder one at a time, air the cylinder with compressed air and see if you have air comming into the intake or out the tail pipe. You can generally hear it if it has a leak. It doesnt tell you why its leaking it just shows you it is and which cylinder to look for a problem. The best method to find a slight leakage of combustion would be the cooling system with a radiator chemical test for combustion gasses into the cooling system. On alot of vehicles you could actually see bubbles in the over flow bottle with the engine running. Want more?
  10. Running rough and a miss are two different things. A leak down tester wont always show a head gasket problem. And a random miss is very uncharacteristic of a bad head gasket. More experts.................. :blah:
  11. I did not say any of the above. What I said was your advice was piss poor. The Dealership should stand up for what they did if they did it, just like Ford should stand up for their product which they do not. Your suggestions were fucking retarded. Ford has quality issues and poor workmanship and they force the consumer to take it in the ass, and this is different? AND you are already cranking tails for something that is not yet a problem. Use your fucking head before your mouth and fingers. Then go back and read your post then mine and try real hard to absorb the material in an impartial thought process.
  12. FIRST TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO NEVER GIVE THAT DEALERSHIP ANY MORE BUSINESS. Big deal SECOND, GO TO THE NEXT DEALERSHIP AND TELL THEM WHAT HAPPENED. TELL THEM THAT IF YOU TREAT ME LIKE THE PREVIOUS DEALERSHIP DID YOU WILL LEAVE THEM TO AND GIVE THEM THE WORST PR THAT THEY CAN EVER IMAGINE. Some Asshole came to me with an attitude like that I would decline their work. Why would I want some picky bastard telling me what I was/would do? Ain't gonna happen. THIRD, START WRITING, CALLING, E-MAILING ETC FORD MOTOR COMPANY UNTIL YOU GET SOME SATISFACTION ON YOUR END. BFD, we don't work for Ford. You will get no satisfaction that way I promise. IF THEY DON'T WANT TO HELP YOU OUT CALL THE LOCAL NEWS. THEY HAVE A PROBLEM SOLVER GROUP. GIVE THEM YOUR STORY. THEY WILL EAT THIS KIND OF STORY UP!! IT WILL PUT PUBLIC PRESURE ON FORD MOTOR AND THE DEALERSHIP TO REACT. Yeah right Where do you morons keep comming from? This place is like an airport with uneducated misinformed morons crash landing everywhere. I hope this kind of "person" is not representative of the Ford workforce There should be no reason the Dealership does not make this right, period. If this dealership did not do a walk around at write up, then its your word against thiers (and they aren't very smart). I do believe they probably did it. It has happened at my Dealership. No hassel, you fix it. Thats a cost of doing business..... They fall off the carriers in the yards, and get wrecked on Fords lots........it happens. Make it right and move on.
  13. FTL you are a thick one. The 03-04 6.0's are referred as sicko's. They near bankrupted Ford. This is not even disputable. Shouldn't you be out putting straw bales around the doublewide?
  14. I have to set the assemblers straight here. Any Technician doing EEC drivability work will know it has a chip as soon as they hook it up. In most cases the Tech will need to disable the edge box or remove the chip to make the repair or reflash because all of the sensor parameters will be out of spec. So if you need to call the Dealer and tell them it has a chip we got trouble. Adding a chip does not void the warranty UNLESS you can prove the damage is caused by the chip. As a consumer you are permitted to equip the vehicle any way you want. Modifications can/may cause damage but unless directly traced to the mod it is a covered repair. If the Dealer feels the mod caused the damage they call Ford. Ford denys the warranty and all is documented. Now there was a time Ford tried to scare everyone into believing that a "chip" voided your warranty. That helped them not pay for a few repairs. THEN they got sued a couple times and lost in court....... We sure got a lot of arm chair experts on Dealerships and warranty here dont we?...................
  15. Im gonna set the record straight here for what its worth. A chip does not void the warranty, and it is not the Dealers call to void any warranty. (the Dealer is to act in Fords interest, but also must be able to back it up in court if needed). The Dealer will know if it has a chip or edge box right away when they hook the truck up to the WDS. Ford is the one who makes the call on denying the warranty or not. The key here is wether the "add On component" caused the failure (whatever that may be), and if you deny warranty, you must be able to prove it caused the problem. You as a consumer are allowed to modify the vehicle to your likings. (its your truck).... Now I have seen the oasis report on Skippers truck, the repairs/complaints I have seen I would not blame on the "chip". His problems are seen on like vehicles without any mods.............now if he had the only one doing this,,,,,,,,,,,, The PCM, EGR system, coking, all seen routinely on these trucks. Ford does not want to pay to properly repair them, they prefer the bandaid method. You guys should know better than try to blame this on a chip, or the consumer. These rolling warranty claims are all over the nation. This particular truck (year and 6.0) is a rolling pile of shit no matter what the consumer bolts onto it. AND Ford has not denyed his warranty. After all of the repair attempts common sense tells me they would have if they could have to be rid of the mess..........
  16. Yeah that sounds like a 7.3. Those were awesome engines. Ford did good with that one. If its a 6.0 he better kiss the fender. Its definately a unique Truck.
  17. According to Ford, if you let this Truck sit for 2 weeks it will also stick the veins in the turbo. I believe that because we have had trade ins that ran great, then sat on the lot and manifested problems while parked.
  18. Actually I am bored. I moved to Myrtle Beach and Im still on vacation. (3 months planned)....... Enjoying my Grandson and Xmas shopping. I will admit thats one thing I have not mastered yet, sorting out the real dumb asses from the fake dumb asses............
  19. I am trying to point out the fact that you are blaming the Dealership. I then in turn ask why arent you to blame since you built it? ........... You just dont get it. What Ford is doing to you they have already done to us AND WE DONT WORK FOR THEM. Ford Dealers will no longer fund Fords mistakes. Junk parts because Ford squeezed the venders to death, ect. It all has an effect. Now its your turn to experience Ford first hand. They have already forced many venders out. They have forced Dealers out. They plan to force out 1000 more Dealers. You dont think we have already been there? Did they drop your pay 30%? My point here is to put the blame where it is due. It is not the Dealers fault any more than it is your fault. I have in retribution pointed out that I have seen some pretty shoddy assembly. BUT, that does not excuse this bad product or piss poor customer service from FORD. You entered this discussion, (go back and read your posts) and started pointing fingers. I have seen the documentation on this case. You are blowing and making ASSumptions. And the $85 per for four screws was a quote from a Ford Employee........I just copied what I read here. I wonder about your comprehension,................nah, I WONT go there.
  20. It sounds like you are Dealing with a shitty Dealer, Skipper is dealing with a shitty truck. Skipper is dealing directly with Ford and they are not willing to right this. The Dealer has nothing to do with it at this level. This is Ford dude. Blaming the Dealer is the same as me blaming you for building it. Are you responsible? Why is the Dealer? You getting railed has no bearing on this topic. Maybe they railed you on purpose? Smart ass attitude, know more than they do?, Ive seen it done. You work for Ford, we dont. You want to tell people everything is great go for it. I wont lie to Consumers. If you want to buy a TV and your buddy bought one and its junk, do you want him to tell you its a great TV or its junk? maybe he works for that company, should he lie to you? This problem and this kind of treatment is all Ford. Its Fords truck, its Fords warranty, its Fords system. Remember Skipper is dealing directly with Ford.
  21. This has nothing to do with a Dealer ripping anyone off. This was a new vehicle. I do though know what you refer to, I have seen alot of Salesmen pull lots of shady deals in my day. You have bad Dealers and bad Sales People just like you have bad assembly workers....that doesnt make us all bad. When the Salesman sells you a vehicle he knows nothing about it in most cases. When you build a Truck do you know its a lemon? No you dont. Most consumers will lie on their trade in. If they know it has a problem they wont tell you. When we do a check over for the lot, we may miss things. maybe the trans only slips under load, we dont load it. See what I mean? The problem was when Ford designed the upper Engine and systems. Look what they did with the Condom and Mistake. Took a world class car and turned it inot junk. They should have left IH alone on this one. Then they had the balls to try and sue IH for the grenading engines........once again, pass the buck. Skippers situation is not unique. Why should the Dealer pay to fix this truck? Ford knows this is a problem. It has single handidly near bankrupted them. The one thing I would have done differently at Dealer level was towed it back at N/C. I have seen the Oasis report on this vehicle and its not pretty. You can say "Dealership" blah, blah, blah. This man got a lemon. Period. He is taking it to the Dealer because it has problems. The Dealership is not soliciting this man so they can keep working on it for free. I invite you fellas to come spend a day with me so you can see what kind of shit we put up with. Product that is junk, a hotline that tells you to call them back when YOU figure it out (hotline speaking english is a luxury), maybe we have a Rep, maybe we dont, maybe they will get back to you, maybe they wont......... Ford is a mess. They have created their own problem. We do not work for Ford. It is not our problem to fund their warranty and pay to repair their products. You can keep beating up the Dealers all you want, I wont go into the assembly problems we have seen and repaired. In either case that doesnt excuse the quality of the product. This is all Ford. There is no way to help them out of this one. Put the blame where it is do is the first step in fixing the problem. Just like AA, the first step is to admit you have a problem which is something Ford has not done. Keep in mind not far back Ford was poised at overtaking GM for #1 automaker. Now they are #4. Why?
