Well, we're supposedly getting that mustang raptor, though it will adopt more of a shooting brakes shape according to Explorerdude. Or that's one of the proposals they're considering at least.

Taking a mustang, lifting it, giving it a more practical roofline, and AWD. This would be a very unconventional way of doing it, but maybe Ford's hoping a mustang raptor appeals to some of the buyers who wanted to see the return of a high performance V8 bronco.

You couldn't take the doors off, and it wouldn't be as capable for intense off-road settings, but maybe that's what they're thinking with it.

Give it a hatchback and I am sold.

On a positive note, I got to see the new Nautilus at the auto show, and I was VERY impressed by it.  It looks fantastic on the outside, and the interior looked great - I wasn't sure how the screen integration would look in person, but it looked good!  The full width screen was wowing a lot of people too - everybody that looked in was like "woah, look the screen goes all the way across"

This thing will be a hit if they can advertise well.

    Niceee. No pics??

Lincoln’s problem is it’s always been on a shoestring budget.  The LS was held back by Jaguar.  The rebadged MKX and MKZ were terrible as was the MKT.  The MKS was the first step in the right direction.  They let Navigator languish too long.

They finally went all in on Aviator but ended up on a bespoke platform.  Continental was good but hampered by cd4 platform and bland styling.

I wonder where they would be now if they had done a cd6 Nautilus, Continental and Zephyr to go with Aviator with a full range of powertrains.

Sigh, this post made me realize maybe I need to drop my emotional attachment to this brand.

Lincoln’s Product Plans have changed so many times in the last 24 months. There were so many plans that were canceled and shelved, some because of resources and COVID. Chiefly, the most concrete ones were the Rivian based SUV and the Corsair coupe. I feel for the teams that put so much work into these products just to have them shelved, it’s demoralizing.

    These are absolutely confirmed:

    2024MY Nautilus, all-new

    2024MY Aviator, refresh

    2025MY Navigator/L, all-new mostly

2026MY 7-Seater BEV SUV from Oakville

    2027MY Compact BEV SUV

There are rumors of other BEVs that aren’t SUVs or CUVs……

    Corsair Coupe?? Tell me more..

"There are rumors of other BEVs that aren’t SUVs or CUVs……"

I've been banking on this to bring some excitement to Lincoln, and fill in a gap or two in it's line-up. Here's to hoping.

  5. Sooo this doesn't sound too different from what we all expected right?

    Redesigned Navigator coming next year

"Aviator EV" going into production late 2025 so we'll likely see that as well next year, no need for ICE Aviator by then hopefully so makes sense to discontinue

Huge grain of salt but hasn't it been rumored that Lincoln is getting a Mach E size-ish EV? That would  give good reason to discontinue the ICE Corsair. Could be revealed around the time the Corsair leaves.

    2024 Nautilus already revealed.

Hopefully Lincoln is working on a halo model as well. That could be on the horizon, and wouldn't be leaked to autonews.

But yes, the investment in Lincoln has been disappointing, and unclear lately.

None of the front end designs in the spy shots line up with the image we saw in the interior. The headlights aren’t as round, and the grille is much larger and more rectangular.

Now this is just a silly theory, and it really wouldn’t make sense as this is an Aviator spy shot unless it was a red herring from Ford, but what if what we are seeing is actually the next gen Navigator?

Definitely wanted to comment on this weeks ago but yeah, what we thought was a Aviator animation looks like it's a Navigator instead!

that incendiary "headline" is somewhat true to an extent... all the Hype and  Hoopla surrounding EVs has diminished by a substantial margin, they are simply NOT moving now the gleam has work off...the BEV Transits are perhaps the most glaring failure.....theres no longer people salivating for Lightnings...and now due to reduced Mach E sales they have tried to counter slow sales with rebates ( $3000 ) and Dealer incentives ....I personally had a fleet order go completely sideways on Lighnings, BEV Transits, and Mach Es due to lack of client ( it was a Rental company ) demand and absolutely abysmyl resale ( the Mach E 's they currently have they are 15k unpside down in... ) I mentioned this at the get go, do NOT put all your eggs in one basket...Ford kinda did and is now getting a reality check...the EVs losses are being subsidized by good old ICE revenue....hopefully this is a bit of a wakeup call...one needs to do things gradually and counter any market shifts with a balanced portfolio....fingers crossed...in the meantime I have 150 Mach E Selects, 65 Transit BEVs and 10 Lightnings we got stuck with that thankfully we are gradually selling wholesale to other Dealers....

Regarding the 150 Mach E Selects, does trim matter? Are more people interested in longer range or GT models? Are you guys just not getting those higher trims? Or...?

Main reason that Tesla and Honda dominate the list is because AALA data indicate that the vehicles shown in the AMI graphic have relatively high "Percentage of U.S. and Canadian parts" and that engines/motors/transmissions for those vehicles are primarily if not entirely produced in the U.S.

    Thanks!

    This grill...

This grill is sick. I'm really liking the new front end. It's strong, yet clean and smooth.

I saw two of these off 94 recently uncovered, black. I must say, even with the disappointing untouched rear end, the Lincoln Aviator is still a great design.

I wonder how soon we'll see a production version of the Star concept.

It’s the base model, same as base new Nautilus. The next trims up have a light bar going to through the Lincoln emblem. I’m more concerned about the tail, looks like nothing was done there! Lincoln has a pattern of not updating their tails unfortunately.

I hate the lack of rear updates. It always looks so offensive. MKZ, MKC, Corsair, and Aviator updates.

Thank you Bellanca, that is a good question and a very relevant one. Lincoln was supposed to put its first BEV into production back in 2022 for its 100th anniversary, but that didn't happen. Even more than the Ford brand, Lincoln needs to make the transition to an all-electric product lineup as soon as possible. Currently, Lincoln's website has a somewhat vague statement along with a pictures of its Star concept vehicle. Lincoln Concept and Future Vehicles

Was that the cancel Rivian based Lincoln model?

Even though it won't be produced, it would be nice to see what they were thinking/developing. Talks around it seem like it was to be a halo model.

Maybe we'll see traces of it in the future.

Whoops. I see all the interior color choices now. I’m a dummy!! I don’t know why I only saw black on the build and price yesterday. That blue is amazing. wasn’t trying to undermine the Black Labels; When I was looking at the site it  seemed like you’d have to jump to the BL for an interior other than black (which is not the case, I see that now). Sorry about that lol..

It's okay Matt. Things aren't that serious around here, usually..

They really need to make their packages in the $2000-3000 range. I feel like they are losing money by making the packages so expensive. Premiere and reserve 2 cost $6500. The only options in that package I really care about are the power liftgate and the 110v power converter. I’m not about to pay $6500 just to get those, but if they were in a “convenience package” with a few other small items for $2000, then I’m a buyer.

I agree with you, but I will acknowledge that it's probably a bit more "dicey" with options and packages when it comes to importing as oppose to manufacturing here in the states. It likely limits model differentiation.

Power liftgate should be standard though!

Funny enough, I think the Reserve with the Jet Package looks more upscale than the Black Label, or at least a lot more interesting. The BL's interiors are still incredible but it's a shame how much the jump in price is for a nicely colored interior.
Edit: Looks like Lincoln is done with the plastic cladding around the wheel wells. All I've seen is painted body color or black. That's good.

Well the Jet Package exterior is the same on the Reserve and the Black Label. It trumps the BL trim. The material upgrades on the BL are fantastic but I'm not in love with the themes this go round.

Pair that with the Jet Pack being a stunner, I'd take a Reserve as well!

This might be that skunks works project…S650 yes but coupe turns into more of a shooting brake/hatch for a Raptor treatment. I’ve heard of a few possibilities…will be interesting to see what it actually ends up looking like.

Give me another mustang hatchback ftw!
