1. I love the magneride and it is certainly worth the wait. Compared to my 2013 gt premium it is a night and day difference.
2. I do have the car. It arrived in early April and it is a fantastic car. Much faster than my 2013 gt premium and normal ride quality with magnaride is way better than the 13. The 10 speed automatic feels very much like a cvt. Be very certain you are pointing where you want to go when you mash the gas.
3. Thanks for reply. Waiting is terrible and the dealer says mid April delivery. 2 plus weeks seems like a long time to travel about 200 miles.
4. Is there any way to track a new mustang once it leaves the factory? According to cotus my car 1FA6P8CF4J5153981 was built March 27 and was in transit March 29 at about 7am. I'm near Cincinnati about 200 miles south of flat rock. I called the dealer and they aren't very helpful.
5. Please give me an update on my order for: 2018 Mustang GT Premium VIN: 1FA6P8CF4J5153981 Order # 556 Dealer #F47016 Thanks very much
6. Please give me an update on my order for: 2018 Mustang GT Premium VIN: 1FA6P8CF4J5153981 Order # 556 Dealer #F47016 Thanks very much
7. Good to hear because I ordered the magneride dampers. Mine is scheduled for the week of March 26 according to the Ford performance folks.
8. Interesting you mentioned carbon fiber. A guy on mustang6g has a car delayed and he has the carbon fiber option. A Canadian buyer had his car delayed until next year because of magneride dampers but there doesn't seem to be a delay for US buyers.
9. Thanks for the reply. Are material holds very common?
10. Welcome aboard from the Cincinnati area. I'm also new here and love mustangs.
11. I have a new mustang gt ordered and scheduled for the week of March 26. Are cars grouped together by options or color of kind of randomly?
12. Welcome aboard. I too have a Mustang gt premium on order and live in southern Ohio.
13. When you think about it each station on the line has parts supplied to it and I suppose the car model can change but you install the parts supplied. The needed coordination of all the parts coming into the plant and getting to the right place blows my mind.
14. Thanks for the replies. Sounds like different cars come down the same line. That has to be very sophisticated systems to get the right parts to the proper places at the right time. I assume there are some parts or systems that would apply to both cars. How do you paint the Lincolns that don't fit in the paint shop? On a side note I got a VIN number this morning for my car progress is good.
15. I have a new Mustang on order and I read that Flat Rock produces Mustang and Lincoln Continental. How does that work?
16. For the uninformed among us what exactly is a CD6?
17. I have a Mustang on order maybe it will start moving forward. There has been no activity since I ordered 3 weeks ago.
18. Thanks for the reply. Do you know what the shut down was for?
19. In trying to track a new order for myself I entered information about other orders at my dealer. I found that none of the tracking worked when using order number and dealer code but VIN always worked. I've always bought off the lot so this is new to me.
20. Can anyone confirm that the mustang line at Flat Rock has been shut down for a week or two? I'm anxiously awaiting a new mustang. Thanks
