  1. Concierge is worthless. I've gotten more info about my car from randos on the internet.
  2. Yours was built 7/15 and it looks like its got a destination to go somewhere (Origin Received / In Production), it could be Detroit for more inspections or to your dealer. Time will tell. For reference, my was build 7/19 and my car status just changed to Shipped Rail / In Transit after having your status for a few weeks and then it moved to Released / Awaiting Shipment Hopefully yours will move to RELEASED - then you know its on it's way to you.
  3. The Lincoln Way app was updated recently and it noted the update added Phone-as-Key functionality. Not sure what needs to be updated on the car though.
  4. What's your VIN, I can look up the status on your vehicle. Mine was ordered in MAY, built 7/19 and has been in Limbo for over two months. I believe it's in Detroit now. No word when it will show up at my dealer, but I can see from the lincoln Way app that it also has not been inspected for the single recall issue.
  5. What does your Status and Primary status say. i'm only asking because mine should ship any day and wondering what the status will say once shipped
  6. I actually created a Apple iOS shortcut that i can run (100x a day) and it returns the pertinent data below I want to see. Here's the URL you can create to get a data pull of your order. Just add your VIN a the end (replace "VIN") https://shop.ford.com/aemservices/shop/vot/api/customerorder/?partAttributes=BP2_.*&vin=VIN Look on the 2nd line for "etaEndDate":"XXXX","productionDate":"YYYYY","shipmentDate":"ZZZZ" Look on the 3rd or 4th line for "status":"AAAA","primaryStatus":"BBBB" etaEndDate is the day it should arrive at Dealer productionDate is the day it was built shipmentDate is the day it leaves Assembly plant lot status and primaryStatus are updated throughout to inform you of the process. Let me know what you see...
  7. I've been watching a lot of dealer orders via VIN and it seems that ones built around now are shipping pretty quickly. Mine was built on 7/19, just past the recall dates and it was still held up for 2 months. I just noticed it was released to ship today. They usually say about 6 weeks from build to delivery - in normal production, which hopefully they are on now.
  8. Don't play with those new screens while driving - we know a guy who totaled a brand new Tesla S while fiddling with his new screen/settings.
  9. Congrats! Please keep us posted on your continued experience with it.
  10. I was referring to delivered cars on my dealers lot, not the ones (or my specific one) in Michigan at the Flat Rock Plant.
  11. Great. Thanks for the referral. Hoping they have the pre-cut pieces for sale on the site for the Aviator soon.
  12. What are you looking at for paint protection? Seems a bit early for them to have products cut for the Aviator. I really want one on the back bumper below the lift gate too.
  13. Thanks for the update. Just curious, what causes the clicking when getting out?
  14. There are plenty of Black Label models in the high-end press videos from Napa that have beautifully straight chrome trims along the top of the doors - so it can be achieved, just not in some of the early production models. This correct one is from Lincoln press photos. I recommend everyone make sure these are straight and even. No excuse for this.
  15. I just looked on Cars.com after your recommendation. The first one I looked at has another uneven trim along top of rear door.
  16. Another new dealer promo YouTube video with noticed uneven panels. Grrr!
  17. Just got an unsolicited call from my dealer offering an additional $$ off of my Aviator due to the long wait and presumably, bad press. To note, mine was built 7/19/19 and I have not called them since test driving one around that date. I stated it better be perfect, they agreed. I also asked them about the ones they have received - claimed no QC issues on any of them. I think i might swing by the lot and look at them myself to level-set my expectations. Of course, they still have no idea when mine will arrive....
  18. And the Original Post of this thread comes full circle.... ...Lots of pictures... As Ford Grapples With 2020 Explorer and Lincoln Aviator Issues, One Reader Doesn’t Like What He Discovered https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2019/09/as-ford-grapples-with-explorer-and-aviator-issues-one-reader-doesnt-like-what-he-discovered/
  19. For those waiting for cars to be reviewed at FRAP, it seems the recall alert in the Lincoln Way app shows status of those recalls. This could be a good way to see if they’ve gotten to your Aviator in that sea of cars that are waiting... Obviously, you need to create a new profile with your VIN to get status on your orders car.
  20. I like my 2008 Audi Q7, but cannot stand the shysters that are their service department (at many dealerships). I wanted another SUV, and the Aviator was the only one that struck me as stylish with the best performance. I really worry that service will be an issue with this 2020 model.
  21. now following thread per rules. 5LM5J7XC7LGL04314
  22. Mine is still "In Production" since it was built on 7/19. I'm already getting cold feet. If it's not perfect (looking) i'm not taking it. Still worried about the AC and suspension, not to mention look to see if panels have been repainted..
  23. Oh man @Bellanca, came across this post from a few weeks ago. Seems like unfortunate foreshadowing re: your paint needs.
  24. Sorry to hear that. How much repainting? What were the issues to cause it?
