  1. Hopefully switching hands works for you as well. I was very annoyed by it initially but now I'm getting comfortable with it. Ideally, if this is how they plan on implementing assistance systems, they should make a toggle for right or left handed people.
  2. I have an update... So, the dealership took a look at the vehicle and determined there was a wheel alignment issue and fixed that. But when the alignment was fixed it didn't also fix my lane centering issue. After a bit more troubleshooting and driving around we determined that the issue was me... I'm left handed. The lane centering system applies torque to the steering wheel as a way to make sure your hand is always on it. This torque makes the steering wheel turn to the left. This is fine when you're a right handed driver because the weight of your hand counters the torque. When your a left handed driver the pressure from your left hand essentially makes the vehicle always go to the left. Basically I changed driving hands and the problem was solved.
  3. Cool. Thanks. Running boards are on backorder so I'm putting them aside for now. Going to go ahead with everything else. Dealers say they're still getting shipments of parts but everything is super slow so it may take awhile to get the parts in even though the system shows availability of 1-3 days.
  4. Separate but related question: did you guys use accessories.lincoln.com or parts.ford.com to order your splash guards and running boards? I ask because it looks like parts.ford offers better pricing for the parts (but says nothing about installation services). I'm considering purchasing the guards, running boards, and floor liner for the 3rd row and cargo area. Thanks, as always.
  5. I just went and did some more testing and it appears to be working properly. I just walked up to it at a different angle than I normally do when home and the lights came on and the vehicle lowered as it is supposed to. Really weird. I'm going to mess around with it a bit more in my spare time. It really is a great vehicle - weird little quirks aside.
  6. Talked with the concierge. She said her understanding is that the vehicle is supposed to lower for any of the following: if you unlock the vehicle, if the key fob is detected, if you use paak, or if you use remote start. Right now it only lowers for unlocking and remote start. So we're going to get it looked at by the dealer.
  7. Interesting. Just tried it with a key fob too. Same results as PAAK. Calling a concierge now.
  8. But we don't know what he actually did. Did he simply walk up to the vehicle, or did he unlock it and walk up to the vehicle? For both my vehicle and the OP's, the vehicle only lowers if you do the latter. The former only triggers the lighting.
  9. I would love for the vehicle to automatically lower when you get close, but I can understand why it doesn't... Turning on the lights definitely doesn't use as much battery as raising and lowering the vehicle if you happen to pass near it without getting in multiple times a day. And yes, your keys might be too close to the vehicle. I've noticed that if I hang around my vehicle kind of walk away but then come back, the greeting does not always work. I *think* the greeting only works when the vehicle detects a new connection to your fob or phone so if it never disconnects because your close it probably won't work. My bet is that it's going to work properly out in the wild. If it does, you could invest in some Faraday fabric and line a kitchen or office drawer with it to try block the Bluetooth signals if you really want the feature to work at home.
  10. I just took delivery of my BL with air suspension last week. I activated the PAAK at the dealer and have never used the key fob. With PAAK, the vehicle will greet me with the lighting but will not lower if I just walk up to it. If I unlock the vehicle with the app the vehicle will lower.
  11. Yes, this is exactly what it's doing. And it will even go over the center line.
  12. So, after a 314 day wait I finally took delivery of my Black Label Aviator Grand Touring this morning. Inspected it from top to bottom before taking the keys and everything looked great; however, after taking it for a couple of spins to get more familiar with the vehicle, I'm beginning to wonder if the lane keeping and lane centering functions are not working properly. For instance, this afternoon I did two 30 min drives in different directions from where I live to experience different types of driving conditions. Both times, when I would initially engage the lane keep/center system the vehicle would lurch to the left and the driver side tires would essentially be on the white/yellow line, then, after a few seconds it seems like it would start working and move its way back over to the middle. After a few minutes of being in the middle it would work its way back over to the driver side lane lines and just sit there or go past them and then the system would throw up a "canceled" message telling me to take the wheel. This behavior never happened to the right - so it wasn't ping ponging between the lines, it would either stay centered or it would go to the left. All that make sense? Anyone have any similar experiences? Literally everything else about the car is perfect! Thanks for the help.
  13. Yes, I can see and print the window sticker now. Looks like it's the blend date.
  14. Small, but exciting update! The other dealer has agreed to reserve their order for me so I have abandoned my 5/25/2019 pre-order... may it rest in peace. The new order has a VIN and an "in production" date of 3/2. There was also another date of 3/13 listed somewhere on the screen, but no one seemed sure of what it meant so they told me to call back on 3/16 to see if there was any new information. Anyone care to take a guess at what the 3/13 date is? Regardless, super excited this order process is finally moving along!
  15. Glad everyone is starting to get their GTs. The one I pre-ordered is still MIA; however, there is a dealer about 30 miles away that is about to get one in and is built exactly like my pre-order so I'm going to go check it out when it arrives. General question: after reading through the last page or two of posts it seems like there are significant software updates that need to be installed on the Aviators. Can someone give list the specific names/versions of the updates and explain how to verify they are or are not installed?
