  1. cyberman - I read and liked your "Current Tracking Rules." I am a moderator on a very large website and wish everyone followed our rules, so hopefully I am following yours. Have a 21 Explorer on order, here's the specs from the "Order Tracking Site." I'm confident the car left Chicago via rail, but I am in SW Florida and there is no rail head within 75 miles of me. I'm not sitting here panting waiting for it to arrive, am just curious where it would have gone by rail, and then it would have to get on a car carrier. Thanks for the time you spend looking this stuff up. Ordered On 9/16/2020 Built on 10/16/2020 Order Number R215 VIN 1FMSK7FH4MGA38056 Estimated Dealer Delivery 11/7/2020
  2. Thanks for the above. From what I have seen thus far roaming around here, there is a lot of good info.
  3. Hmmm, well I need 15 posts to ask my question in the Ford Employees forum and I only have 11 so far, so here's #12. ?
  4. OK thanks, will do that tomorrow as I have an early start tomorrow and am about to hit the rack. Also am curious where it may have gone to after it left the Chicago area and before it gets onto a car transporter as there is no rail head within 75 miles of my town in SW Florida. Probably Atlanta, Savannah, Orlando, or ???
  5. Here is what shop.ford.com says about my 21 Explorer Vehicle Details Ordered On 9/16/2020 Built On 10/16/2020 Order Number R215 VIN 1FMSK7FH4MGA***** Estimated Dealer Delivery 11/7/2020 My long time salesman said he can not tell if the Explorer is being shipped by train or truck or exactly how it will get from Chicago to here in SW Florida. Is he correct, and or is there any way to track its position now that it has left the factory?
  6. Thanks, I kinda figured that but have no experience with this engine.
  7. My sales guy mention that after my new car arrived, Ford would add X number of dollars as a credit to my Rewards account that I could use to purchase parts, or pay for service work. What is this called, and how does it work on say a $45.000 purchase? Thanks. Not sure if this is the right forum to post this question, so Mods feel free to remove this sentence & move the thread.
  8. Has anyone installed a performance tuner or chip on their 2.3L EcoBoost. Is it necessary, not necessary? Thoughts? Not planning on doing this, just curious.
  9. Just found OEM Ford rails for $210. Don't know about tax & shipping. https://parts.autonationfordwhitebearlake.com/v-2020-ford-explorer--limited--2-3l-l4-gas/accessories-hauling--roof-rack and https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-cross-bars-o-e-2-piece-set-clamp-on-lb5z7855100ac?c=az0x
  10. As far as ordering is concerned, I ordered a 21 Explorer on Sept 16, it was built on Oct 14, and is in shipping now.
  11. Anyone install them yet? I have a 21 on order and also want to install a pair of cross bars to haul a kayak. The Ford factory ones are around $270 as I recall.
  12. I've Google''d "Explorer Owner Forums" and have found several that have posts, but none that seem to be very active. This website is active, but no separate Explorer forum. Am I looking for something that does not exist?
