Ask them for a VVR or OVFF. That should let them know you are not a ignorant customer. Maybe a PIA one ?

First, thank you for all your time and help on this forum. I appreciate the insight you’ve provided. My question: does Ford predict a ETA assuming microchips (or other commodities) are in stock then? Not trying to be a smart arse, just trying to understand.

I hope you have better luck getting a response than I had inquiring about racks for the tonneau cover tracks.

FordPass may find the vehicle but you can NOT activate it until you are inside the vehicle and push a button to “accept”. You can only Add the vehicle to your FordPass app with the VIN.

Bump, let’s say since November 2021

I haven’t seen anything offered currently. Aside from the usual veteran, student, first responder discount of $500. When I ordered back in July, the GSM of the dealership actually told me there was a $1,000 incentive. I thought that was very cool of him because I couldn’t find a rebate anywhere. SD incentives are nil, half tons you can find them all day long. Almost every commercial currently is for half tons (Ford, Chevy, or Dodge).

Has anyone on a chip hold had their trucks shipped yet? If so, how long was your truck in the chip hold status? (not bed liner, spray liner, 5th wheel, etc). Thanks.

Just to be clear VV= Vehicle Visibility “report” I only say this because many of us don’t know what VV means. It may help when talking with your dealership.

I am getting closer to receiving my truck ( I hope). Built date was scheduled for 12/14. Tracker shows In Production 12/16. Now I have a ETA of 1/06 delivery. However, the tracker still doesn’t show it as Built? Ford PASS app was able to “find” my vehicle. So, I’m not sure if my truck is on the line still, off-site for options, or shipping? Ordered 9/13 F350 DRW KR Ultimate 4x4 with ALL the commodity issues.

Mine was scheduled December 14 (WS 12/7). Let me know when your goes to shipping please. I also have spray in liner, tonneau, 5th wheel prep and some other stuff. I haven’t heard anything on my build. Asked the dealer for a VVR update yesterday but haven’t gotten it yet.

Sad to say but in recent weeks communication from Ford has sunk to non existent. My last build week was supposed to be 11/22. I didn’t get a email from Ford til about 12/3 saying I got pushed to week 12/13. I researched and found I was in production 12/13 and actually scheduled 12/14… still no email from Ford. In a nutshell, don’t expect to get emails from Ford in a timely manner as to the build progress of your truck. You have to do the work to be informed.

It is an answer you don’t want to hear. Truth is the time frame from order to VIN is all over the place. Some guys say they got their VIN weeks after ordering. Personally mine was exactly 2 months and 2 days “order to receiving my VIN/scheduling week”. Then I got pushed 4 times. As of 12/9 I moved to “In Production”. So in a nutshell your probably looking at a similar experience.
