  1. How are y'all getting this set up with the Ford website and App to show your Confirmed / Production dates like that? My sales lady has sent me my VIN and my production date, but I don't seem able to set it up on my Ford account. I entered that VIN but it said "Invalid". Maybe it takes a few days to be in the system?
  2. Ordered my F350 Dually Lariat on 07/27 and got an order date of 9/27 and my VIN today. Salesperson is hoping for the truck to be in by November. Looks like things are sailing along pretty good right now.
  3. I called Ford Marketing yesterday and of course I had PCO offers for virtually EVERY Ford vehicle except a '22 Super Duty. Go figure
  4. Ordered from Bill Fick, and sales lady seems really squared away, so hoping it won't be an issue when I bring it up.
  5. 10-4. Weird that the salesman that I didn't buy from looked that info up for me and told me I had certificates and to "make sure they give you those certificates" and the one I ordered from didn't mention them yet. Maybe they would/will when I get a VIN for the order. Guess I'll just call Ford Marketing tomorrow and see how much they are worth then bring it up to the sales lady I placed my order with.
  6. Then I just get with my salesperson to tell them about them and give them the PCO number?
  7. Any of y'all received PCO certificates from Ford before? I had been talking to a salesman and eventually picked a dealership closer to me. The guy I had originally talked to went out of his way to check with Ford to see if I had any certificates/PCOs and said I had some in my name. Do I need to just call Ford Marketing to check on those certificates or PCOs and see how much they are and how to redeem/use them on my order? This is all new to me.
  8. I ordered the dually..... default is 14,000# Also got the 4:10 transmission.
  9. That Stone Gray looks sharper than I hoped. My F350 Dually will be same color. Tan leather looks great, but I went with black because I'll be hauling hot shot, getting in and out in jeans. Imagine the black will be much easier to keep clean.
  10. I was looking at a Ram myself at first. Then I priced out an F350 DRW Lariat and a Ram 3500 Laramie, all with exactly the same options.... and the F350 was about $6,000 cheaper. The 12" screen on the '22 Lariats is stock..... .in the '22 Laramie, that alone is a nearly $2,000 add on. All things being equal, I was probably going to order a Ram. But I'm not paying $6,000 more for essentially the same truck.
  11. I'll see your current environment in the nursing field and raise you a career in law enforcement. Think your co-workers are in crappy moods? That said, I'd absolutely take both an F350 or Ram 3500 over anything Chevy kicks out right now. And my last 3 1/2 tons have been Chevys. Love their half tons, wouldn't touch their 1 tons for hauling hot shot. A horse trailer or 5th wheel every now and then? Sure. 100k/miles a year hauling hot shot? Not a chance.
  12. How long would you give it before contacting Ford Marketing? I was thinking I'd give it at least a couple of weeks from yesterday's order with the dealership to call and bug them for any kind of info.
  13. Is there anything I can do with tracking number and order number? No idea how I can follow or get any info. Obviously my order was just placed today, so not expecting anything anytime soon.
  14. I had a salesman tell me today that X-Plan is basically the same as invoice pricing. I was already getting near invoice, so I'm not going to bother with it.
  15. Yep, It's certainly nothing I would pay for. Pulling a 40' gooseneck, I'll be using a trucker GPS or app for my navigation. Those things do better at not getting you in bad spots with big trailers.
  16. I just looked at the mock ups of the new 12" screens coming on the '22s. Man, those are super nice looking. And it's nice Ford includes the NAV system on their screens where Dodge makes you pay for NAV.
  17. You're absolutely right. But both the salesperson in MN and the lady I'm dealing with at the Dodge dealership come highly recommended on the forums. $68,500 for a pretty loaded out 3500 Dually Laramie is a pretty solid price, and may end up getting the $500 first responder rebate to kick it to an even $68k. Think the F350 Lariat would price out at a pretty even $69k with about all of the same options. So they're both in the same ballpark. Just need to drive both.
  18. Absolutely will be buying from him if I go with the F350. Really want to have a seat in both a Lariat and a Laramie. I'll be pretty much living in this truck for 2 to 3 weeks at a time, so it's pretty important lol
  19. One thing that absolutely drives me mad about Ford is that stupid chime when you open the door. I don't need notified that my door is opening and closing. I know....... petty..... but it's grating on me lol
  20. I have always said that the Dodge has an amazing engine surrounded by crappy parts..... and that you'll end up with a great engine surrounded by stuff falling apart. Maybe they've changed that and are improving, who knows. I've watched all the torture test videos on the Eisenhower Tunnel and the Ford and Dodge sure seem like almost a wash in performance. The one thing I am truly impressed with on the Dodge is their exhaust brake. Seemed lots better than the Ford and Chevy. Hopefully I can one of each to look at. But the countdown is ticking if I want to have a truck in by November/December.
  21. No offense taken at all. I'm really not much of a brand loyalist at all.... but strangely enough have only driven Fords and Chevys. And honestly, I have always poked fun at Dodge more than anything, especially those goofy mirrors. Only reason I am even considering them for this is because of the engine. But I fully realize that both the PowerStroke and the Cummins will absolutely get the job done, and it's probably a coin flip as to if you're going to have problems with either. Ideally I'd like to have a seat in both, take them for a test drive, and then make a decision since the price is pretty much a wash between the two. That's the worst part of this shortage, it's super difficult to find vehicles to go lay eyes on. I'd prefer not to spend $68k without physically looking at each, but it may come to that.
  22. I would say that "nobody wants a RAM" is somewhat inaccurate in the hot shot field. On the hot shot forums and when I'm driving and seeing them on the road, it seems there are more Rams out there pulling hot shot than F350s. I'm pretty torn between the two to be honest, that's why I haven't really pulled the trigger on them. The prices I've been quoted on an F350 Lariat and 3500 Laramie are within a few hundred $ of each other. The biggest problem right now is that I can't even find a Lariat or Laramie in my area to even go sit in and test drive. I'd love to drive and give a look over each before making the decision.
