  1. So, found a dealer that has a good deal on ordering a SD. There is no rush on this end so the time factor isn't much of a problem. Question is, since order banks for the '22s went live on 3/15 of last year, when will the '23s go live? Also, if I ordered now, I would most likely get a '23 correct?
  2. I have never gotten one. Probably never will.
  3. That IS interesting. I have it on my '20 F150 and I like it. I'll mull it over for a few more days.
  4. A dealer wants to remove the AS before they submit the order. I don't feel like I want to pay 80K for a truck, especially custom ordered and not get it 100 percent how I want it. So, order it and whatever happens, happens? Or just sit it out until the '23 order banks open up.
  5. Yeah that question is relevant to me as well. Have two quotes. One dealer kept the bed liner and AS on, the other took both off. Somewhat bothersome at the moment. Until further notice doesn't mean never. Also is the bed liner not happening either?
  6. Fantastic report. Think that just made our decision easier.
  7. The boon docking thing is something we are seriously considering. Want a TH because of the ability to have a SxS and have a portable fueling station. There are some sweet solar setups and that is something we are also looking into it.
  8. We actually haven't gotten one yet. We are still trying to lock down the truck order but we have been looking hard at rigs but want the best deal. We are pretty much set on a GD 397th but most likely in the used market because I can't pay 140K for a depreciating asset. What did you get?
  9. Just a thought, could you get an RV transporter to bring it an RV park near you? Or storage even? Or your backyard if you have one?
  10. 20 years? I bet thats gonna be a hard thing to do. Best is to get the least optioned truck possible if thats your goal. More electronics, more chance of failure.
  11. Funny, my dealer I'm working with about placing an order said AS is required on new orders. Said he very recently added it to a customers dead build and voila it got scheduled. This conversation was on last Friday afternoon. I asked him several times and he is one of the managers and he said he had never seen nor heard any traffic about the AS being done for. I admit I am confused. Read one thing here, and then I am told something elsewhere.
  12. Lol no. Have 3 houses, a Viper, a Raptor plus a Ford Escape. The quote for the 350 was 700 dollars less than the 450. Might need to shop around some more I don't know. Geico at least online wasn't cheaper than that.
  13. I think we've decided on a 450. We've looked up a ton of videos, and we are gonna take our shot. Thank you all for your input and the insurance one was a good one as well. We checked and its about 700 per year more for the 450. Yuck. Here is another question. Do the 450s have the same grills outside of the XL? Sure looks it on the build your own website. That seems a bit weird to me but maybe thats a 450 thing as I never really looked at them prior to this.
  14. Oh yeah I love the spray in bed liner. I never understood why someone wants a scratched up nasty looking bed. I never got that. Anyways, they seem to hold up well so far as I can tell. Also, why did you personally go 450 vs 350 for your 5er. We are trying to make the same decision.
  15. I'm a sucker for the Ford emblem in the bed. Wish they would just give Line X the ability to put into theirs.
  16. Well to be fair there was a very limited amount of 2020 Raptors new on the lots last August that weren't being tagged at MSRP or 5-10K over. Trust me I remember very clearly. I also agree with you that the chips and parts are causing a backlog and it royally sucks that the guys who ordered '21s are waiting on theirs while people are getting the '22s already. As I said I will get the best deal I can. Looks like Robin Hood used X plan, so thats an avenue I am looking at as well.
  17. Now thats what I am talking about! Hell yeah good job! I am using X plan as a fall back and am waiting on another dealership to see if they can do X plan. Thank you for the response. I don't know why its so hard to believe that you can get a smoking deal if you just put some time and effort into it. Much like my Raptor, it took almost a week of calling, scouring the internet etc. What did you order this time if I may ask?
  18. Because I was asking if anyone had leads on under MSRP Super Duties even if I ordered one. Nobody believed that I got a Raptor 7 under MSRP as if thats unheard of, which it isn't. Anyways thats the reason that I posted that. Nobody has clarified the tire issue on the Ford build site. They don't explain the difference at all. Same size, just a hundred dollars more for one than the other.
  19. It's not the best ever. Over on the Raptor forum there are people that got slightly better than even I did. Here is the agreed upon deal for the Raptor. This was all negotiated over the phone and when we got there it took us 30 minutes. The bank check was made out for the total amount in line 1 as we did not finance through them in the end. I can't help that we called literally 30-40 different Ford dealers all across the country, basically, and found this one. There are no shenanigans or anything. I was as shocked as you are. Also, I will be calling them tomorrow or the next day once we decide 350/450. If its good we will put an order in once he give me a price, which will be under MSRP for certain, just how much remains to be seen. If it isn't what I want then I will keep looking and give the dealership info at that point.
  20. I don't disagree but people buying at MSRP are only padding the dealers pockets, not Fords. Invoice didn't just magically disappear overnight. People want to give their dealership and extra 5-8 thousand dollars they can. I don't do that. I agree that I will go with the current dealer and am shocked that there haven't been more who can get less than MSRP.
  21. Nope. 75.5 MSRP so not fully loaded doesn't have the carbon package or the Recaros. 68.5 out the door. No add ons or ADMs period. It was the quoted price plus a 129 doc fee and that was it. No tint, no nothing. Truck was sold as it came from the factory. So yes, it was that kind of deal.
  22. Dealerships make money on invoice pricing. Like I said, I already have a dealership that is going to come under MSRP, and in fact they are the same dealership that I bought a brand new, 2020 loaded Raptor from for 7100 under MSRP in August of last year when they were hard to find. I was just curious is there was anyone who knew of any other dealers. If 10 people are wiling to pay MSRP, then they are the problem. If you order a vehicle you should never, ever pay MSRP. If these are the responses I am being given, then I know what dealership to go with already. Thanks for all the replies and taking the time to do so. One other questioning the duallys. What is the difference between the tire options on the 350 specifically. Same size tire, just 120 or so bucks difference. Thanks in advance.
  23. Yeah I get that on one if I just stumbled upon one on the lot. However, if I am ordering a car that the dealer isn't paying anything for then MSRP shouldn't be a thing. Considering the CEO of Ford just said he wants more custom orders and do away with incentives then anyone sticking to MSRP on an ordered vehicle that I have to wait months for is just gouging.
  24. Hi all, just a quick question. I have been calling around to a couple of dealerships looking for the best deal. Best that I have right now is "quite a bit off MSRP" the higher the price of the vehicle from the place I bought a truck from last year. Others have been MSRP and we will check on X plan. Where I buy the truck from means nothing to me really as I will still have to pay Texas sales tax. I also don't mind getting it shipped. Anyways, if anyone has any leads on invoice or close to dealerships please send me a message. Then I can wait and prepare for the winter that is coming lol. Congrats to all who are getting their trucks!
