  1. I just got 75k for my diesel. It took 4/5 days to show up.
  2. My card has almost been punched. Ordered on 11/19. Built on 3/29. Shipped on 4/8 with ETA of 4/18-4/24.
  3. After build week switches from 3/28 to 4/4, back to 3/28, back to 4/4, I seem to be holding onto my 4/4 slot. I keep checking to see if an Monroney label has been created but nothing yet. I guess we will see what next week brings.
  4. 11/19 CCSB Platinum 6.7. I had Berliner and 5th wheel prep but dropped those in January.
  5. I was 3/28 then got moved into 4/4 and back, and then back to 4/4. I just got brought back to 3/28.
  6. Typically this is an automated thing that happens when the manufacturer invoices the dealer for the vehicle. At my dealership, Porsche electronically invoices us for the vehicle a day before it arrives. Once it hits our accounting system, it also is automatically fed to our website and web syndication software.
  7. I ordered same configuration basically and in the same day. I did drop the items that were in restraint. Build date has gone back and forth from 3/28 to 4/4 a few times.
  8. I was bumped from 3/28 into March, but got bumped into April….and got an email tonight bringing me back into 3/28 same….
  9. I was bumped from 3/28 into March, but got bumped into April….and got an email tonight bringing me back into 3/28
  10. I previously had a build schedule for week of 3/28 but got an email that shows it pushed a week, into April.
  11. Ordered 11/19. F250 Plat. It did have some items that I deleted a few weeks ago when everybody saw the commodity hold items (spray in bed liner, 5th wheel prep, gooseneck, folding tonneau cover). Build week is 3/28.
  12. And stand corrected…..just got my build scheduled.
  13. Since another round of Thursday emails have come and gone, I spoke with my dealer. Currently still Unscheduled Clean.
  14. Yep, I was kinda hopeful to get some news today. My order placed and confirmed 11/19-11/21. F250 Plat in black. I had a bunch of hold items, but removed them all (bed liner, tonneau cover, 5th wheel prep and gooseneck) a couple weeks ago. It’s at priority 10 like many of us. It’s taking the fun out of the waiting game by simply having no clue when it could be built. As every week passes, I get closer to just keeping my 17 King Ranch.
  15. Still waiting and hoping for a VIN soon, but I did get a 2500.00 private cash offer today in the mail.
  16. Thanks for sharing this. I just texted my dealer to remove spray in liner, 5th wheel prep, gooseneck hitch kit, and hard bed cover.
  17. Many don’t realize this, but when I new vehicle arrives at the dealership, there is still a ton to be done. Many vehicles are in a transport mode, that limits various functions. They definitely need to have all fluids rechecked, wheel torque checked and a detail. The rail dust that accumulates over the miles can be really bad.
  18. keep me posted on your build. I spoke with my dealer yesterday with considering removing the spray in liner but haven’t made any decisions yet. If yours proceeds promptly, I will likely not remove it.
  19. Ive been pretty committed to my build and willing to ride out most delays. For me, the 5th wheel prep and goose neck hitch are absolute “want”, not “need” items, so if anybody can confirm this, I’m going to delete it from my build.
  20. Just for sport, I texted my dealer (since it’s a Thursday). My Plat was ordered on 11/19 and confirmed on 11/22. No news on mine, as I expected to be the case.
  21. No, the point here is: 1. Porsche communicated with the dealers (with a plan) 2. They still shipped the vehicles. 3. Clients would rather have their vehicles, temporarily missing a feature, than not at all. As an example, it seems quite odd to hold up a vehicle for somebody that added 5th wheel prep or a bed cover. Build and ship the truck and issue a campaign on that vin for the dealer to be able to remedy, post delivery.
  22. I work for a Porsche dealer, specifically as a Pre-Owned Director. I want to share a little of my “chip shortage” knowledge, at least as it relates to our cars. First, “chip shortage” is a very generic term. There literally isn’t one single chip that’s the root cause. It really needs to be called a semi conductor shortage. in our cars over the past year, there was a batch of Cayennes that were built that they did not ship with the module that controls power tilt/telescopic functions of the steering wheel. Those vehicles were still shipped to the dealers and Porsche simply opened a campaign on those vehicles. Our temporary remedy was to use an extra module. We would literally plug in our module, allow the client to set the wheel position and then remove our module. After about 90 days, they began shipping the modules to us (and all dealers) for the cars we had sold. It was up to us as a dealer to get them into our clients cars. We sold 30 Cayenne that we had to address. We didn’t have a single complaint from clients regarding this. Ford definitely handles their manufacturing a whole lot different than Porsche does. We were communicated with, informed, and prepared (as a dealer) on how to handle. Ford, on the other hand, seems to just say “sorry, chip shortage” etc….which honestly, nobody here knows if that’s really true as we are all guessing based on rumor, not factory to dealer communication. I hope this helps….stay tuned for more info on differences in manufacturing that blows my mind.
