  1. So, Monday morning the sales manager called and couldn't wait to refund my deposit. They want that truck... And maybe that's the play on your order too.. who knows right?? They can have it. I'll order a 23 in August obviously not from them. I love my F250 7.3 diesel and I'll keep it for another 22 years ? I appreciate this site. You guys rock.
  2. Thanks to this fun I'm leaving Thanks to this forum I'm learning just what you're saying. I've owned Ford's for over 43 years. I could have done a better job if I could just order from Ford and if Ford wants to give money to a local dealer that's on them. I'd have a solid order 2 months sooner than when the dealer got around to placing it with Ford. I'm so glad I found this forum. Thx
  3. Great information. I can't confirm they sent everything in to Ford but it was provided. I understand Ford can't build something while waiting for parts but getting the order to Ford through the dealership has been the challenge for me. With your information I now understand better all the fibs being told. I wonder if I can move or transfer my order to another dealership or just start over. It's hard to reward such incompetence and dishonesty. If I did have to start over will Ford honor an order from me should the current dealer refuses to cancel my order? I'm thinking they'll want the truck since it appears it won't count against their stock allocation
  4. I suspect that's why they're making every effort to get me to walk away. The manager wants me to call in this Monday for a deposit refund. They'll get the truck and sell above MSRP.... Good move for dealers especially when dealer stock will never get built this year. Hmmm

  6. Ice, I'm not up to speed on all the terminology yet. Covp - they took a copy of my driver's license and email address ?? Does that qualify? Incremental allocation? No clue? Does that mean if 50 people placed orders in one day and they're only allocated 5 trucks a month that those orders represent 10 months of allocations?? And deliver/ build will be spread out over those 10 months??

  8. Management says there good with xplan. Now they're telling me customer orders take from their allocations. They delayed tendering my order to Ford for 2 months (my order 9/29 their order with Ford mid November according to an executive secretary to the owner). I don't mind issues..I get the delays, but I hate being lied to and jerked around like this
  9. I've contacted the owner of the dealership. They didn't cancel the order. And I found out that they didn't order it in September when I signed for it. Instead they placed the order sometime in November. Do you think I can place the order with another.. or transfer it? They claimed that customer orders take from their allocations. I've never heard of that. Is that true??
  10. I did. The sales person is the one who said he'd just order it and do xplan when it came in.
  11. gotta luv the games they play with our time and money. I just spoke with the owner who confirmed the order was actually processed not 9/29/21 but sometime in November. I might cancel and wait another year and another dealer. Maybe like a RAM dealer this time. Cummins is a great diesel
  12. That's my question. If I placed an order can I request X-plan once it comes in without any issues? The salesman told me this is the way to do it but after 5 months I'm now being told by a manager it's a new order with new pricing even though the original order number hasn't changed
  13. IceCapades. Don't get frustrated if we can't find the time to read 10,000 posts searching for information I/we didn't know exists. I'd think the FORD dealers would know this. It was the dealer that told me there's no price guarantee and the price is what they charge when they produce it. I'm frustrated with the situation and I do appreciate your response but they still disagree. I just called. Can I change dealers and keep my Sept 29, 2021 pricing because according to this dealer that's just not true
  14. Maybe I don't understand something. I ordered on Sept 29 2021 and a build with price ( I signed it). The unit is still not scheduled (no VIN) so I added clearance lights. The new price is $1500 more. Is that how it goes? We wait while Ford increases prices and pay the price when it's produced?

  16. Cast Iron, I'd love to learn where you ordered. Great proactive sales team you're working with. I just canceled my 5 month old order after learning my price went up (on an X plan) and sales management told me it can happen again. I'd rather order from a dealer who can get things done I get waiting..ok, but not while they keep raising prices and sliding my purchase price up instead of honoring the price I agreed to.
  17. I ordered an F350 on Sept 29th 21. I requested the X plan and the sales person (mulinax Ford Vero Beach Fl) told me no problem. He said they'll include that when it comes in. So we did the build with pricing. I realize I'll be waiting. Well, now it's February and still no schedule. Just was informed my price went up. I asked the manager if they can do that. He said they can and they can do it again until the vehicle is built, delivered and purchased by me. Upon hearing that, I canceled the order. I am truly frustrated and the X plan along with the $3,000 discount Ford sent (must be used by 4/4/22) made it worth waiting for except they can raise the price at will. Who orders this way? I guess I'm venting a bit. I figure sharing this with you guys might help me understand how this is so . I'm confident something went wrong with the order. I didn't receive confirmation of the order until December. I read where you guys are receiving confirmation almost immediately. So that's my experience. RAM is looking pretty good except for the price tag
