  1. Contacted my salesman and added upfitter switches a few weeks ago. I wonder if that pushed me back further on the list. With everything going on in the world I wouldn't be surprised if it causes even more supply shortages and I end up having to order a 2023 model. Wouldn't be the worst thing, but the not knowing anything is so bizarre.
  2. I'm not surprised that dealerships or Ford allow this, anything to pump those numbers up! Meanwhile I'll probably end up waiting 6-9 months for my order. Ugh.
  3. https://www.theocdplug.com/shop/p/f150-8 That seems to be it. I don't think it's likey I'll scratch the screen, but I'd rather spend the $25 and not worry about what's in my hands when use the touch screen and also having a matte finish will help cut down on the glare, improve visibility.
  4. Hello from WA. Drove either 1/2 ton or Mid-Size Toyota Tacoma for the last 20 years. Have a need for a whole lot of payload now that my wife would like to see some national parks and stay in a truck camper, so I have a F350 DRW on order. It will certainly be a different driving experience but I'll adapt! ? Seems to be a lot of good info here on the forums so thanks.
  5. Waiting for my truck and decided to add upfitter switches, I was checking out the Ford.com build page for the F350 and the pricing has went up around $1,650 since I placed my order on 09 Jan! I wonder how much more it will go up given the state of things going on in the supply chain due to world issues.
  6. I asked my dealer to add upfitter switches to my F350 order and told them to make any other changes necessary, ie dual battery or alternator upgrade. It's been a week and they haven't said anything, I figure if it has dual batteries then I'll simply have more piece of mind should one battery go before the other. I do like the idea of building redundant systems.
  7. I suppose it comes down to how much you are willing to work on your truck to fix problems and how much downtime is ok while you fix any potential issue. Most of the common stuff isn't too bad, but I think the warranty is more about peace of mind for the big issues that can occur beyond they typical 3yr/36k warranty. I don't intend to purchase a warranty for my 7.3 DRW based on their great reputation so far. I don't know enough about diesels except they look more complex under the hood and can be expensive to maintain according to my brother who's a diesel mechanic, so had I got a diesel I would have opted for a warranty.
  8. Tonneau Cover - Never though I'd get one, but we are eyeing a truck camper and want something easy to take off/on to keep stuff in the bed dry during the rain/snow months in WA. Matte screen protector for the 12" screen - want the screen to stay scratch free for a long time even if I have to swap protectors every few years Winch - Maybe, would only use it to help people out of a bad spot. I'm considering the factory option once my F350 comes in... Some kind of rear seat storage for my boys who will be in the back seat. I'd like to keep things organized during road trips. That's about it, except I suppose sometime far down the road I'll get some nice wheels/tires, but nothing flashy, just not stock.
