  1. The other day, whilst ambulating in a pretty strong crosswind in my 2023 Maverick hybrid, my TruxSport cover was annoyingly flapping, to the point of hearing the flapping with the windows closed. I checked in my side view mirror, and the Velcro was still firmly in place, so that wasn't an issue. BTW: the cover was pulled firmly taut before the trip. I have the idea that Gorilla taping the cover to the two cross bars would help a great deal. I contacted Truxedo technical support, and discussed a few things that could possibly cause the issue, but it was determined that it is basically the way they are. I gave my idea about taping, but was told that doing so could void the 5 year warranty. Any thoughts? ?
  2. Yes, we get $7,500 OFF our total taxes due if you bought a hybrid in 2023. After FINALLY getting my rollover credit at the last minute, my trade-in, and the tax credit, it brings my total cost of my 2023 Maverick to about $6,500! ???
  3. WOW!!! Things are happening in rapid fire fashion!!! My head is spinning! I just got another call from yet someone else at Sunrise Ford who said he was working with Ford on me getting my $2750 private offer/rollover credit, and he was successful!!! I feel like I must be dreaming!
  4. Finally a partial success! Dealership manager offered to take an additional $1,000 off that partially compensates for the rollover credit they screwed me out of. ???
  5. Oh, I have extensively. Got quotes from about 8 different places. Over a year ago, the difference was $5K toward Carvana, but nearly 14 mos, later, the difference is a few hundred after considering tax advantage of trading in a dealer. Not worth dilly dicking around with.
  6. Fortunately, my 2023 will be void of the 2022 recalls, and "hopefully" there will be very few for 2023!!! No big deal though. No cost to owners to fix.
  7. They can: (A) Offer considerably MORE for a trade-in. (B) Sell less than MSRP. (C) Lower or eliminate the "Administrative Fee" (aka additional dealer profit) which is $1,000 on top of $400 "filing fee". I am still trying to work my issue down to the wires as my Maverick arrives this week! BTW: I did a trade-in offer calculation ant the dealership's website, and it said mine is worth $3,700 HIGHER than they offered me! WTF???
  8. I was indeed screwed out of it, but it turns out that exact one month after I ordered my Maverick on 11/9/21, my dealership and another Florida one were bought out by some Western Canada company!!! Orders must not have been smoothly handled during transition and is the reason my order was not entered into COVP system in a timely manner is all I can figure.
  9. I was hoping somebody would come out with extra wide stainless steel ones that fit snugly in the window track, but no such luck. When I had them on my F-150, I had my windows open a full 2", and tropical storm came through when I was at work, but truck was bone dry inside after work. So I settled for reasonably priced these: WELLvisors® - Tape-On Premium Series Smoke Front and Rear Side Window Deflectors
  10. I sent details about my plight to Jim Farley 4 days ago, but have not heard back! ?
  11. Including a link for it? Since it appears that I am going to be screwed out of my much deserved '22 to '23 "private offer"/rollover credit, I'll be looking to get my Maverick with NO profit to the dealer. Thanks!
  12. That's what I thought. But unfortunately, no way to rectify situation. The sales guy at the dealership that probably failed to do things correctly is no longer there.
  13. Nope! I don't do the cesspool called Twitter. In the meantime, I found out that the "private offer"/ rollover credit is provided by a THIRD PARTY!!!
  14. But if that is the case, my ordered would have been cancelled at that point by FORD. WHY then did Ford keep sending me updates the entire full year since I ordered???
  15. But I should be no less qualified than anyone else as I had a legitimate order over a year ago, and have waited as long as anybody else that IS getting the "private offer", and I was equally DENIED my 2022 order, as Ford could not honor it. I see it as just a technicality that should be corrected. When I speak to Ford Customer Service, they are useless as they cannot access the COVP system nor anything else, apparently. When I ask to be transferred to someone who CAN look into it, they cannot. It is quite frustrating.
  16. I have dealt with the dealer/sales guys many, may times. He has tried & tried again with Ford to resolve issue to a DEAD END. At some point he mentioned that my order was NOT entered into COVP until Feb. 2022. But the intermediate person, the regional Sales and Inventory Specialist claims that my order was NEVER placed in the COVP OR the WBDO system either!!! This claim makes no sense, as I regularly got emails from FORD about my '22 order.
  17. WHY would they??? It would make no sense. DAYS before the Sept. order bank opening up, my order was STILL valid. It is about many months earlier, my order simply did not get entered in the COVP system. This is a TECHNICALITY, as the entire system is to ensure REAL orders are sent to FORD. I can prove to Ford my order is a REAL order, but I do not know at Ford who to contact there to make a real difference.
  18. I ordered a '22 Maverick hybrid on 11/9/21 at Sunrise Ford, Ft. Pierce, FL, giving a $500 deposit, my Driver's License, and I got paperwork. Ar rhat time I was told the order backlog was 5 mos. I regularly (once a month) alternated between calling the dealership and Ford directly. I always was told my order was "unscheduled/clean". After visiting this and the Maverick Chat website, I learned how important the COVP system was, so I asked (I don't recall if it was Ford or Sunrise) if my order was in COVP system, and was told YES. Months went by, and I regularly got emails from Ford informing me my order will still happen, but because of supply shortages, it is delayed. When I found out mine would be rolling over to a '23, I called Ford and asked how the rollover credit works. I was told I would get it "around Sept. 15th". I did not get it, so a few days later, I called Ford again, and they said it would be sent to dealership. I called sales guy, and was told they did not get it. So I called Ford AGAIN, they said I would not get it because of a COVP or ROVP problem! But they also gave me a detailed procedure that I wrote down word for word, that the dealer needs to go through so I can get the credit. I sent to dealer, and they contacted the Ford Sales and Inventory Specialist, Orlando Region to try to resolve the problem, but it was unsuccessful!!! My dealer got the message: "Per the eDC, Ford will be providing customers with a COVP approved 22MY retail order that goes unscheduled with a private offer that can be applied toward the purchase or lease of a new 23MY Maverick. I checked your COVP enrollments and there is no COVP enrollment for a 22MY Maverick. I checked WBDO and there is no 22MY Maverick order for this customer. This customer is not eligible for 38560." How can my order never have existed, if the day after my order (11/10/21) I received congratulations for my order from FORD, and regular emails from them about my order, and how did I become one of the VERY 1ST '23s scheduled, if I was a totally brand new customer??? Seems like one hand at Ford does not know what the other is doing. Also my '23 order has the same order # as my original 11/9/21 '22 order. Any thought, ideas, or recommendations to get my much deserved rollover credit? Thanks!!!
  19. Nope. It is ROVP. And the 1st system (whereby you get a confirmation email) is WBDO, but your ordered will not actually happen until submitted to ROVP system and APPROVED.
  20. When you order (any Ford model I assume), and the dealer takes a deposit and enters it into Ford's WBDO System, you will quickly get an email congratulating you on your order. Not so fast! There is a secondary system called ROVP that your order has to also be entered in, AND approved by Ford for an actual completed order. If your dealer did not copy your driver's license to send to Corporate, your order is not in ROVP, or at least not approved. You can call your dealer or Ford corporate to CONFIRM your order is listed at very least as "unscheduled/clean" in BOTH systems.
  21. When I get my Maverick, I plan on adding a tonneau cover, along with a bed and tailgate mat: https://bedrug.com/bedrug-xlt-bed-mats/2022/ford/maverick
