  1. Update on this alarm issue: For the past couple of months now, NONE of the alarms work, where as before, even tho it was a pain sometime, they did work as I posted back in Oct last year. I have it set to ALL alarms. Lock it.. and I can jump on the truck, open tailgate, rock it side to side, and no alarms go off. I know the truck came with it because it's on my window sticker as being included. I have not updated the system yet but it's been to the dealer 4 times not for checkups and oil/fuel changes and filters. I'm sure they would of noticed if it needed an update.
  2. I HOPE it's a one time glitch, but don't recall saying it happened more than once, was just saying if this is going to be a regular event, someone fell asleep during the program phase of trucks computer. We've had it for almost a year now, and it's performed above expectations for us hauling our 42' 5th wheel RV through 16 states out west and back. This is the first time it's been in a dealers shop where we bought it, for a "fix".
  3. No, not that I know of and if that is the cheap easy way I guess I'll install a battery cut off switch anytime a bulb goes out. Just seems so stupid.
  4. One would think you could just replace the bulb, but they did that and the indicator still blinked rapidly until they reset the IDS. They said it was the oddest thing they ever saw.
  5. Took 2022 F350 into the Ford dealer this morning. Issue was the drivers side turn indicator on the dash would blink rapidly when in use. I check turn signals, lights, flashers, all worked so we had no clue what the issue was. Ford had our truck all day (8am to 4pm). First few hours they were trying to figure out WHY this was happening. Then, they noticed the drivers side BRAKE light bulb was NOT working! (We did not check the brake lights, just the 4 way flashers). They replaced the drivers side brake bulb, and STILL the instrument Left directional indicator was still flashing rapidly. They said they had to "reset" the IDS ( Integrated Diagnostic System ) and THAT fixed the rapid blinking of the indicator. HOW the HELL does someone replace a LIGHT BULB in the truck, and then has to reset this IDS system without taking it to a dealer ??? That has to be the dumbest damn idea yet from an auto maker! Damn good thing it was a warranty issue, or at least they made it into one because I would of been charged a hundred bucks for damn light bulb!
  6. Well, my sig has all that info if you look at bottom of post. RGAWR is 9900
  7. 2022 F-350 CC 8' bed Diesel 2x4 Not sure why I didn't notice sooner. When I hitch up to our 5th wheel and lower it onto the truck, the overload springs touch. Would this mean it's overloaded or it's supposed too engage them? My pin weight is 3340. With the truck by it self with wife and I, our dogs, hitch, generator, and 40lb's of dog pens in bed, rear axle weight is 3960. With the 5th wheel hitched up, drive axle is 7260. Is this a problem? I'm towing 16K
  8. My bad.. Ignition on is what I meant by ACCY.. old school, turning it backwards was accy. if I recall but yes, its a "keyed" truck not button start and it was when I turned the key forward one (on) is when the battery/engine light came so not sure why it didnt dawn on me that's what happens all the time since we bought the truck but age got me there lol Thanks for correcting me though
  9. So not sure if this has any bearing on it or not. Took these photos today. One with just the accy position on. Shows battery symbol, also the engine lite, which I didn't get in the photo. The other photo shows both lights off with engine running. Could I be having a battery issue that's causing this alarm thing? Engine ON and running Accy position ON, with engine off
  10. Three nights ago, I closed up the truck, and hit the key fob to lock it all up, thus setting the alarm system. It's set to ALL for the alarm choices. About 2 hrs later, the alarm goes off, horn, lights blinking an all that. I hit the panic button to turn it off, went out side to check, all was fine. Half hour later, it goes off again. We're at a campgrounds in TN so I just left it unlocked for the rest of the night. Following night, I set it to "perimeter" only. Seemed to work, no alarm. Last night, closed it up, and locked it using key fob again, and it defaulted back to ALL or whatever .. Went to bed, and an hour later, round 11pm, it goes off again. Called the ford dealer where we bought to try and get it looked at, said it'd be 3 weeks. ANY one know why this would happen? It only goes off at night. First time it was lightly raining. Last night it was just overcast. Things are quiet here for the most part.
  11. That reminds me.. Forgot to change this.. yes it was in Montana ! ?
  12. Full time RV'ing towing a 2022 41.5 foot 5th wheel and we couldn't be happier with out '22 XLT CC Dully. The power, control, transmission has never let us down one bit. Very impressed with the engine brake on this truck and the MPG is very acceptable. We've put 10k miles on this truck, 90% of that towing though IN, TN, KY, OH, MI, WI, MN, ND, WY, SD, IA and we've been averaging 12mpg. Only thing we had an issue with is the windshield had to be replaced this past week due to a stone kicked up by passing pickup. We test drove a Chevy and a Dodge after we drove a '21 Ford. The Chevy's hood made visibility hard and the wife didn't like the seats. The '21 Dodge had no guts. My only complaint really, are all the damn chimes! Open the door, put the key in, CHIMES, open the door with the keys in, CHIMES, turn on lights, CHIMES, put the park brake on, CHIMES O M G lol! I'm good with computers, but a bit hesitant to try the FORscan on this truck to get rid of the chimes. Anyways, a shout-out to the men and women who built our truck! THANK YOU! (Photo below is from Fort Peck, North Dakota) MONTANA I mean ?
  13. We have just over 5,000 miles now on our 22' F350 crew cab dully, XLT 2x4 with 3:55 rear. Not towing, I'm getting 18 to 20 mpg. Towing our 41' 5th wheel, we'll get 9 to 12 depending on hills, flat or head wind. She's performed perfect so far. As far as regen, honestly I've not noticed if it's gone through one or not yet. We waited for the 1,000 mile mark before towing and we didn't pick up our 5th wheel till it had 1800 on it. We've been full time RV'ing since June this year.
  14. Better photo and complete rig. 2022 KZ Durango Gold 391RKF 2022 F-350 XLT
  15. NICE background shot! Fitting for a King Ranch. Congrats
  16. Well we wanted a TRUCK to tow the big boys.
  17. So, I asked around some of the locals about where to take Diesel drained from the filter and no one knows. So where DO you take the stuff drained from the filter, like when you drain the water out, some diesel comes with it. I've never dumped oil or gas in the ground or any other ways, but we'll be full time RV'ing ijn June and I'll have to drain any water from that filter on a monthly or more basis and need to dispose of it. Where do you all take yours?
  18. Took possession of The Grey Fox on April 19th. Ordered Oct 21, 2021. F-350 XLT Premium 4x2 Diesel. Wife now wishes we ordered the Lariat instead but she wanted to keep costs down. Got price protected at time of order which we're happy for.
  19. So, we've had our '22 F350 for just over a week now. I'm installing our 5th wheel trailer camera system and would like to turn they system on with the number 6 switch. I have already moved the 5amp fuse to the "right" so switch 5 and 6 can power on with out engine. I know the number 5 and 6 are 40 amps. What I'm looking at is the 40 amp fuse on what looks like a 10 or 12 gauge wire. Can I connect the 14g pass though wire to the #6 switch wire under the hood, then from inside the cab end of the pass through, connect a 10amp inline fuse to go the camera system, is that acceptable? I'd be using 14g wire there as well. Trying to learn as much as I can about these upfitter switches, watched a lot of youtube videos but none have addressed using the large amp fuses for low amp accessories.
  20. A lot of people ordered at one of the worst times is most likely why. We ordered ours Oct 21st, 2021. Didn't get to the dealer until April 18th, 2022. Some of the hold up were chips, some the 5th wheel prep, some spray in bed liner. So, it's good you got your truck quick, but it was timing, supply, and labor issues.
  21. Finally after 6 months "The Grey Fox" home! 5th wheel prep, Moon Roof, Rear sliding window, XLT Premium pkg, UTT Camera PTBA, 6.7 Diesel, Adj gas/brake peddles and upfitter switches. Dealer did give us the price at time of ordering too, so price protected. Now for the 1,000 mile break in.
  22. After just a few days short of 6 months, our truck has arrived at our dealer late today. Now the real hard part, dealing with the sales manager who is worthless .
  23. Sorry Cyberdman, ignore post.. Tracker updated and said it was delivered. Thank you Order # 1022 VIN: 1FT8W3CT7NED51507 F350 XLT CC DRW Carbonized Grey Ordered: 10-21-21 Thank you
  24. Happy Easter to all . Got news this morning that our truck has been shipped ! Will arrive at our dealer Thursday 4/21.
  25. Before I saw your explanation of "ramp codes", I noticed this on my WS and did some research. I found this page off the FTE site (Ford Truck Enthusiasts) . I realize you've been in this business a long time. I live on the East side of Tennessee and the Ford dealers out my way get all their vehicles by truck transport, not rail, so I'm a bit confused for sure now. From what I read, these are destination codes but does not mean "how" they get there. Like why send a vehicle by Rail, if the dealer is in Kentucky for example. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dFdPnCn3ecHk1ioXKJ3Cc1p3snlOfXSh3MXswVtsahw/edit#gid=1021404829
