  1. I believe the buffer is higher on the PHEV. I charge my Mach E to 85% but the Escape PHEV to 100% as needed. Ford suggests not charging the Mach E above 90% on a routine basis to preserve battery life, but I have seen nothing similar for the PHEV.
  2. My radio stays on briefly after turning off the car and opening the door as well, both in my Escape PHEV and Mache E. Also, the HUD stays up until the door is opened in my Escape.
  3. We have had our Vapor Blue PHEV with Premium package since March and are happy with it. We also have a Mach E, so we already had an EVSE in place(ChargePoint). Interestingly there is more room in the cargo area in my Mach E than in the Escape, so it is a bit smaller than expected but we wanted to down size from our Hyundai Santa Fe. The only quirk I have noticed is the occasional loud Fan/Compressor when the car first comes on. It's only really noticeable from the outside and the dealer indicates it is normal. I like some things about the interface better than on the Mach E and some things less. I find it comfortable but haven't done a long trip yet. We have not used much gas since we brought it home and typically charge as often as needed to keep the battery at "100%". I had PPF on the front done and ceramic coating on the entire car since it will be kept outside. (No room in the garage for 2 cars). Power wise it seems better than expected both on electric and gas. The pop-up screen is a nice addition.
  4. Of course it depends upon the dealer. I'm just relaying my experience. You'll notice I said it MAY depend upon your circumstance and dealer. I did not have anything in writing (signed) only the printed order form, The dealer honored it both times because they are a reputable dealer. Do they still try to sell add ons? Of course, but they honored Price Protection and took the X-Plan I got by joining the Mustang Club of America.
  5. It may depend upon your circumstances and the dealer. When I bought my Mach E(I paid cash-no trade-in), the price protection difference was refunded to me by the dealer at a later date when they received it from Ford. 8 months later when I picked up my Escape PHEV I had a trade in and they incorporated the difference right then and there and I used 36 month 0% financing for the balance.
  6. Was that cheaper than what's available online from Granger, Zeigler or some of the other dealers? They often sell the warranty for $50 over cost.
  7. I did. Picked it up on April 16. Escape PHEV Premium. Got it, as well, on my Mach E
  8. I had PPF on the front and ceramic coating installed on the entire car. I did the same on my Mustang Mach E and was not going to on this car. But since it is our travel car and will be stored outside I decided to. I had XPEL installed on both
  9. Mine (PHEV)is also Vapor blue and, depending on the light, looks grey or blue/grey. I love the color. I had PPF installed on the front and ceramic coating on the rest since it will be outside most of the time. (I keep my Mach E in the garage.) I usually pay cash, but opted for 36 month 0% financing and will see how the market goes. I installed Thinkware cameras, front and rear, on my Mach E, but am just going to install the FITCAMX front camera integrated with the mirror on this one. I think everyone will love this car!
  10. I like it very much. I have a 2022 Mach E, as well, so I am somewhat used to the similar interface. I like the physical button for the camera and the heads-up display. No phone as a key though and no ability to start the car without the fob like in the Mach E. Ride is good, acceleration acceptable and it is much quieter than our Hyundai Santa Fe.
  11. I ordered in September (PHEV with Vista roof and Premium package) and picked it up last Friday.
  12. After my Escape was built and on route to the dealer the status went back to order confirmed. So take that info with a grain of salt.
  13. My 2023 Escape PHEV with the Premium package does NOT have a hands-free lift gate. That capability was removed from the Escape as it was from the Mach E.
  14. No the center display is not obtrusive, nor is the heads-up display. I also have a Mach E which has a larger display. So I am used to it.
  15. Picked up my Escape PHEV with the Premium Packagea couple of days ago and am, so far, it has exceeded my expectations. I wish it had PAAK like my Mustang Mach E but it's not a big deal. Definitely worth the 7 month wait. I traded in a Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Ultimate and was a little concerned about the difference in power and acceleration but it's fine in that regard. Interior is nice, some cheap plastic, but not too bad. Seats are comfortable for my wife and I.Ride is ok, it's an SUV after all. Less harsh than my Santa Fe.
  16. Just got notice that my Escape PHEV had arrived at the dealer. Ordered 9/20/22, built 4/4/23. Of course window sticker/invoice are different than original order so will have to wait for rebate for price protection as I did on my Mach E.
