2023 Ford Super Duty Delivered Truck Pics

I have read that they do have a version which can be obtained via email that will connect to the 23, but very little if anything is working yet. Forscan is a 3rd party tool which will take some time for the devs to sort out what can be done with the new electronics.

2023 Super Duty Orders & Discussion

So just ask your dealer. I had two trucks to order this year. Work rig came from a big dealer, they had 45 spots in allocation, when I ordered he said I was in the #2 spot so no problem. Low option, early order with high priority at the dealer; got built in Jan. My personal (job 2) one is going thru a small town dealer who was real up front when I first asked about ordering & allocation, and he said they only get 1 - and that it was already spoken for. I could get it in on the books, just be aware of the wait. I emailed when Job 2 started and asked how allocation was looking, he said the one ahead of mine was pulled already and they had room. Scheduled for end of May. Point being, both dealers were right up front with this stuff, shared the info and actually both seem (so far) to be going right according to plan. Speaking of, your next question: They can assign all orders the same code if they want, doesn't matter, most dealers have to and would normally. It's dealer-specific and aids in determining what builds within THEIR orders get pulled first. Default is 19 and highest they can assign is 10. Gives them some flexibility in prioritizing specific orders when they need to. As I understand it, order date is the next sorting factor. In theory if a dealer has allocation, and you are the highest priority in the dealer order bank, Ford will try to build your truck - unless there is a constraint and then it gets passed over for the next one in line until the next week when it can try again. Also per what I know, regional reps (or whatever they are called) have the ability to escalate orders to priority above 10 in certain cases if it's deemed necessary. -

Just scheduled for week of 5/22... Platinum F450, HO, moonroof, pro power, FX4. Left off bedliner, etc to and keep it from delays. Ordered end of Oct. Small dealer at the top of the list. -

FYI on timeline. Ordered opening day, large dealer with allocation, was #2 spot on their list so definitely had a slot in their production. F450, HO, Lariat Ultimate, moonroof, pro power, rapid heat. NO spray in liner/mats/front liners etc - Tried to avoid holds. Status reset yesterday to "Confirmed" for the day; this morning it is back to normal and actually shows shipped. In Seattle and no expectations on shipping timeframe. Shows ETA of 4/25-5/1 but IMO it's just a dummy number based 10 days out (like "you're in production, this takes a few days to a week" -sure). In hindsight, I don't think any of the options would have been an issue especially with the early build. However, being built early got it stuck in the holding pattern waiting to pull back out of storage while later-built trucks were rolling off straight to the rails. For comparison, I have a Platinum on order thru a small dealer who was up front and told me their allocation was 1 and there was at least one truck ahead of me, so expect to wait for the order to be picked up - No communication other than an "Order Confirmed" email immediately after I placed the order, but know it was submitted. So based on this experience, I believe without allocation the order goes nowhere. -
This is the updated (3/17/23) job 2 dealer order guide. Attached... 2023-03-17 Super Duty Pivk Up Order Guide.pdf

2023 Super Duty OK to Buy (OKTB)
wabbastang replied to rottekatz1's topic in F-Series SuperDuty Forum
Postings on private FB groups this morning from people who work at KTP indicated they got the OK on diesels yesterday. There's been multiple diesel tracker screenshots posted in the last 24 hours showing built AND shipped. -

Yes the first '23s have been making their way to dealers with a few actually in customer hands. At this point they are all gas (7.3 specifically) as the diesels haven't begun shipping yet. The factory seems to be in full production mode though, and things are now getting sceduled. There are lots of threads that explain the process, but in summary to make sure you get scheduled: You need to not have any options that are constrained (unavailable), and your dealer needs to have allocation available (dealers are allotted a certain number of trucks out of the total production). Then if both those are met, the order priority code that your dealer sets controls how soon you get picked from their orders. This is typically 10-19, with 10 being first and 19 being last among their group. -

Word has been EPA certification hasn't gone thru yet on the 6.7 this year. This would seem to jive with 7.3s starting to move first. I would speculate that with the oktb passing that once this happens they would be clear to ship, but no confirmation of this anywhere. -

Word from a KTP employee on private FB forum dedicated to 22/23 production/scheduling (and others have subsequently chimed in that claim separate sources with same info) that the plant got the OK to start shipping. From what I gather, this means they are going to start pulling built trucks out of 'storage' back to the plant to run them through programming and inspection and begin moving them out. -

I would suggest deleting the liner because it's generally considered pretty inferior to other aftermarket products. I know there are guys who have had good experience with the factory spray-in, but if you do a quick google on the subject, you'll find plenty of info on it and likely come to a pretty quick decision. You can get a better product with better prep work done with a linex/rhino/etc. Also, yes, it seems to be a consistent problem that holds up orders. -

This video is probably the latest and best actual info there is as of last Thursday. An interesting point to remember is that the order guides were not complete with all the job 2 options when the guide was initially put out back in October, so as soon as the updated guide is out you will want to update your order with the dealer before scheduling happens. -

There was a call with dealers today; Tim @ Long McAuthur did a quick video on some of the content. He specifically talks about the OKTB situation and says they were told late Feb/early March - "any day now" is expected. He talks about this just after the 1:00 mark. Video: -

Mine up at the top has codes in CERT/TRD/CAMP also. I believe that date under 'special order' you have circled as 'invoice date' is actually the day the window sticker was first generated. I'm surprised that more info on these hasn't been decoded at this point. FYI you blanked out the end of your vin in the upper right, but that large PECxxxxx in the green box is the other half (the part that's vehicle-specific and they must use to identify on the line). It really doesn't matter anyway, VINs are published all over the place. -

What I have seen posted in some private FB groups by other people 'on this inside' was that they have two holdups. #1 fixing some gas engine issue but probably the actual holdup is #2 getting final EPA approval on the diesel before they are allowed deliver anything. This would seem to fall in line with many rigs showing produced, some with chip holds but many others without, but nothing has been moving yet. FWIW; obviously just speculation on secondhand knowledge but makes sense. I know there's been just a couple photos showing up of rigs on carriers, but who knows where those are going or what they're for. If the former is true, it'd be interesting to keep tabs on if they appeared to be gas or diesel.
