  1. Well, I just received my final quote & confirmation the car will be available the day I'm there. Base price is $189.99, but once tax & other fees are aded in, a 24 hour rental is gonna cost me $253.50. I don't know if I want to spend that much for one stinkin' day. Two days is $509!!! That's more than the monthly payment on my Bullitt. 2. They seem to really like it; I think this is gonna be a huge hit. First time I've seen solid pricing info and unfortunately, $43K is out of my range by a couple grand. I was really hoping I'd be able to afford a base model with no options. Guess not.
  3. MSP tests all vehicles with a trunk full of gear, lights & sirens on & two officers in the vehicle with all their requisite gear. So, these are real world results, not pumped-up track times. That's why the MSP test results are the "Bible" of the law enforcement community's vehicle stats.
  4. Hey, maybe I'll rent the same car. I'm gonna be in Vegas in September & I'm currently talking with Hertz to make sure a Hertz Mustang will be available when I'm there. Pretty expensive, though.
  5. I like the "hunkered down" look, but if this was available today, I'd still buy a Mustang. I love to see GM put a pony car out, too. Competition will only help keep the Mustang at the top of its game.
  6. There's really no speed I'd worry about staying under as long as you vary the rpms, as others mention. I had my Bullitt over 120mph the second week I had it - there were maybe 300 miles on it at the time. I was at the dragstrip with it just after hitting 500 miles.
