I've been training on afternoons and I don't think any Dept has run OT. Got some contract doing the Glass Room but other than that the plant's been empty.

I remember when these cars came out everyone was talking about it being a Crown Vic/GM replacement, it has definitely eaten in to sales of both the CV/GM. Everyone at STAP was worried they were going to drop the panther line completely. Now it's a Taurus? I agree changing the name to Taurus is a desperate move that will probably only hurt current owners and the image of the vehicle as a whole. With all do respect... And I mean this most sincerely. Let’s hope we cancel the shift start making Ford money again. It's the only way the company can employ anyone. The way our contract is written NO ONE will loss there jobs INVOLINTARILY they will have to offer everyone either buyouts, transfers, VTEP or inverse lay-offs. I hope we have a smooth transition to 1 shift bring in the Town Car and MORE PEOPLE and give the company a reason to bring new product to this plant. It's easy for me to say all this cause I'm not losing my job right away, but if Ford don't start making money I'm Fuc##$ along with the rest of the plant...

RUMOUR # 1043234234265.2..... Heard last night that they are going to offer guys/gals with 28.1 or more early walking papers allowing them Sub & U.I. up until there retirement date. Apparently it would take effect sometime in April. Can anyone confirm this?

I could be wrong about what the equipment does?rolles is more of a testing area (electronics) then the vehicle goes to front end alignment then on to finally inspection/repair. Backasswards is FORD.. I've driven back there a few times but really have no knowledge about what the specific equipment does. would you accept those seats?

After rolls test the vehicles go to the anzen (hope I spelt that right, it the machine that sets the front alignment ) the driver only moves the cars the lenth of a car and still has to put on a seat belt. I'm not sure what their going to do? suspend production? Hope they settle before Monday, we're layed-off this week so at this point it's mute... Also hope they get what their after from the company because when we go to 1 shift it's going to affect them as much as us...

These are NEW rules that came into effect after the ministry had a tour last year. Along with safty glasses for all and a few other things.

We can't run without a seat in the car. The Ministry Of Labour rules state that the vehicle must have a seat and a working seat belts. We can't move a vehicle 5 feet without a putting a seat belt on or we could be fined under the ministry rules.
