How does weekly layoffs affect a tesphe loan? Im sure someone on here can answer this. Thanks :shrug:

I know there is alot of rumors on here but has anyone heard about ford paying us $140,000 to take a 7$ an hour pay cut?

I think he said "after hours trading", meaning after the market closed.

At KY truck we were told we have 5 of the next 9 weeks off because the order bank has dropped. We do have three crews working. :shrug:

Remember the vote came out 51% to 49% and not a sole I talked to voted for it. I agree the working people should pay more, not the retirees'.

My f150 has 130,000 miles and still runs like a top. Two years ago I thought the truck plants would be safe, guess I was a fool. KTP chairman says things are good till 09 then anybodys guess. With ford shoving all this money into mexico I guess nobody in America is safe. So sad :shrug: :shrug:

I would like to know how many people at ford alone are holding back on buying a new car or truck just to wait and see whats going to happen at ford. I know I need one now but I think I'll wait and see. I have a 2000 f150 4x4 off road built at nap. and it has been the best truck I ever had. My point being that at a plant that makes as much money for the company as we do surely they know what our schedule is in five weeks. :shrug: :shrug: :shrug: :shrug:

I was told by a manager today that our plant manager is in Det. trying to keep the shifts as they are without the overtime ( 4 tens). I have to think that by now they know what our schedule is in 5 weeks. Why wont they tell us something?

Here at KY truck we have 200 or 300 hundred too many right now on three crews, sales are down, gas is ungodley, we are going to 8 hours a day on all three crews and the great local 862 tells us to get ready for more transfers from other plants. :shrug: :shrug: :shrug: :shrug: :shrug: :shrug: :shrug:

I can tell you that some of the profits from the toyota's built in America are going home with the workers. My spouse has been employed by Toyota for about 18 or 19 years. I am a UAW FORD employee with 13 years in and my spouse made more than I did last year. All I have heard since walking in the door is "toyota is going to get you". Well, while we have been debating for 20 years who is to blame(people buying non-uaw cars, the gov. non-loyal employees, dead-beat employees, NAFTA, ect.)they have been kicking-ass and taking names. If we dont start taking care of our customers this site will be called "blueovalusedtobeemployees".

A few years back we were getting $8000 profit sharing checks and had great benifits and made great wages. Management is trying to blame this on the workers and it has been proven that the company can make a profit with our wages and benifits. As an Auto-worker and a son of a coal-miner let me please ask you to pray for them. We all get on here to bitch and complain about work but these people need our prayers now. Please forget us and pray for them...........

I say get rid of the UAW and put us on a level playing field with the transplants..

I won't by buying one of those cars. How about a toyota built in the U.S.

A few years back we were getting record profit-sharing checks and If Im not mistaking we were all well paid with great benefits at the time. Why should we give up what has been fought for for years because some asshole ran the co. in the dirt. We have 600 medicals walking around with a clip-board doing nothing (in one plant) while ford pays 27$ an hour to someone else to do their job. About these rebates and zero% financing, they are driving us into bankruptcy. I know its moving cars and trucks but at what cost? The big three needs to get together and agree to do away with the big incentives, there killing us all. Just my two $. haha

Here At KY Truck we see our big dogs about every 3-4 years. Reg. comm. man about every two weeks. If you call to talk to uaw seems to piss them off and good luck getting them there.
